Hello Darlings,

First of all, I would like to apologize for the lack of posts. I’ve been having a writer’s block, trying to stay on top of my course work, and I am also away at the cottage. This weekend is Victoria day in Canada and it’s a long weekend. So, Happy May 24 to my fellow Canadians!!!

Andrew and I decided to spend some times at the cottage with the friends to just relax and have some fun.

With amazing weather and sunny days, I can finally break out my summer wardrobe. Luckily, Andrew’s cottage is just a short drive away from some of the cutest beach parties. The getaway is a combination of both worlds—the relaxing and the good old parties. The challenging part is always the outfits. I love the beach and just lounging around in tiny dresses and bikinis. However, for the nights out it is always a challenge. With the laid back attitude and I-just-don’t-care frame of mind, it is hard to look club “appropriate” and effortless.

Although getaways are all about no make-up, Godiva liqueur over-indulgence and just a whole-lot of nothing. I do like the idea of looking totally cute at the cottage country. On a side note I must add.For those of you who do not like the taste of alcohol and just love chocolate, you must try Godiva Liqueur. I personally love white chocolate! In Canada you can purchase it in some LCBO’s and it is definitely worth a try. But no matter what, do not drink underage or drive!

I am wearing:

T by Alexander Wang Sweats—from revolveclothing.com
Talula Cotton Surplus—from Aritzia, Sherway
Wilfred Bat-wing Top—from Aritzia, Sherway
Michael Kors Watch—gift from Andrew
Candace Ang Large Bow Zipper Headband — from Holt Renfrew Last Call
Juicy Couture “Rose” in natural snake—from Neiman Marcus
Gustto “Cokera” Purse—from revolveclothing.com

As for the outfits, here are two of the looks that I wore so far.

The shorts and a blazer were worn for a quick dinner. Nothing too complicated just a pair of my favorite breezy silk/cotton shorts and a leather blazer. Honestly, I am crazy in love with this blazer. It is so versatile and useful, who could have thought that wearing leather in the summer can be so easy!

I am wearing:

♥ Marc by Marc Jacobs ” you set me on fire” top—from Shopbop.com
♥ Wilfred cotton/silk shorts—from Aritzia, Sherway
♥ Henry Duarte No. Q65 lamb leather blazer—gift from parents

As for the Wang sweats, I wore them to a breakfast at an awesome old-school diner. No make-up and just a quick hair up in a headband trick.

Well, I am off…it’s dinner time :P

I will be back with more outfits…. so stay tuned! In the meantime, don’t forget to enter my Maybelline Giveaway!!!

Wishing Everyone a Lovely Weekend!!!!

With Love…

Marta

Sounds like the perfect long weekend! I’m spending mine at the cottage as well. I’ll be missing PEI beaches this summer since I’m moving in a couple of weeks, trying to soak up as much sand and sun here as possible… :)

    Love the blazer too btw.

Sweetie! You don’t have to apologize for the “lack” of posts! Of course you have a life full of duties and things to do!
In order to have something to blog you need to do something, don’t you? lol
Although my best feature is not being constant on commenting blogs so probably you might not realized, I have also been out for a long time (and now I’m catching up with your lasts posts) and that is because, luckily, Internet, blogging and technology is not the ultimate!
I’m very glad you enjoyed the getaway to the cottage (to me sounds a lot like Jane Austen! lol) and, let me tell you, you look more beautiful and beautiful every day!

    xx

    • Hi Anna,
That is so sweet of you… thank you :)
I try to post as regularly as possible, but at times I just fall into a writing/idea/etc. rut. But it is so true, if I don’t continue on with my everyday life, what is there to blog about ?

Thank you for such touching comment!

You look like you’re having a lot of fun! It does look cold though, but I’ll bet it’s humid and hotter than it looks? That leather blazer looks absolutely lush and chic.

Cheers and hope you continue to have a great time with Andrew!

P.S. I noticed that your paragraph about the Godiva liqueur and no make-up is a bit confusing. I think your text got jumbled somewhere along the way? Just a heads up =)
