Hello Darlings, As you greet yet another concierge who cheerfully suggests an itinerary for one, you start to wonder is this really a good idea? It is!!! What stands in the way of discovery is typically novelty of a place and struggling with an opportunity of being alone. For most the thought of having a dinner or going to the movies only in ones company is dreaded. For me, I’ve learned that when life throws a curveball you should run with it. That is exactly how I learned to not only be comfortable when travelling alone but actually enjoying it!

I did not chose to travel alone, my work caught me by surprise. While it was miserable at first, now I appreciate the time. This acceptance of circumstances has translated into other areas of my life but it all started with travel. It took baby steps and the realization that I’m not a total loser for wanting to go alone on vacation to embrace the opportunity.

Hello Darlings, “We live for nights that spontaneous decisions become awesome adventures.” One quote that so perfectly describes my last trip to Bahamas. As I was packing for a last minute trip to Bahamas on Monday evening, I realized that spontaneity is truly the spice of life. There was something so exhilarating and thrilling about going on a trip that took less than 24 hours to plan!

On a random Sunday night my friend decided that we should go to Bahamas on Tuesday. I received a simple, ” Let’s go to Bahamas” text from her. Not the one to pass up on an adventure or an opportunity to travel to a new place, I was all in. Within an hour we were booked and leaving behind the stormy Toronto weather for Bahamian sunshine. From a random but brilliant idea I was lounging on a daybed and sipping on a mojito at the beautiful Cane pool at The Cove Atlantis in Bahamas just 24 hours later. I was in heaven!

Hello Darlings, As it appears that the spring may have lost her path this year, I am sure that we can all agree it’s been too cold for too long. Aside from the complete lack of creativity on a million and one ways to rock a parka, it is not only our wardrobe that is hitting a major rut but also our skin.
