Hello Darlings,
Today was rainy and it seemed like every girl from age of 2 to 92 wore rubber rain boots. WHY? I just don't understand why people wear rubber rain boots as a fashion statement...even when it's not raining. It's as if rain boots are becoming the new Uggs, even worn in winter. What is it about rain boots that women love so much?

Seen today while "casual shopping", three women arguing over a pair of $150 Juicy Couture rain boots.... Why would 20 year old women argue over rubber boots? It's not as if they are Christian Louboutin or Jimmy Choo. Not only did this scream out how much women love rain boots, but also the price tag some designers can charge... Why does rubber cost $150? Just because of the designer name?...
SO WHAT IS IT WITH WOMEN AND RAIN BOOTS????

Not to pass undue judgment, I am just curious. Having wet feet sucks, but there are so many other options without having to wear rubber, pink, butterfly boots. Sure if you live in the country and it's often muddy, then rain boots are practical. But it's rare to find muddy side walks in the city... Plus, do you wear your rain boots once you're indoors, lets say in an office building, a coffee shop, a restaurant, a shopping mall??? The only role for rain boots in my life are :
♥ Walking my dog when it is pouring and muddy.
♥ Walk in the country if mud is unavoidable.
♥ At the cottage and out for a walk during or after rain.

I don't get it why women wear rubber boots to walk from a car into a mall.... Then again I don't understand why people love Uggs. My rain boots are Michael Kors duck boots... Nothing cute or pretty, but "uniquely ugly", water-proof, warm and comfortable.

Fingers crossed that tomorrow is going to be a sunny day.
I wish you all a lovely day!!!

Hello Lovelies,
Yay this is my 100th post!!!!...
I find that to be pretty exciting. Therefore, I decided to dedicate this post to one of my passions ( besides fine art and architecture) - Reading.
Collectors Edition
As many of you know I am an avid reader.... LOVE READING!And therefore decided to share some of my favorite books with you....including Twilight Saga.
Speaking of Twilight, I just ordered a copy of Twilight Collector's Edition... as well as a Twilight CD, and a few Agatha Christie books.I've been collecting books for a while and thought that this would be an awesome addition to my collection... Personally, I think that books are a wonderful investment and something that will always matter to me. I am sooo excited to get it... and especially to share it with you.....
Seriously, I am a Twilight Freak!!! lol - almost embarrassing, considering my age, lol.
Fav. Top Ten Book ( so far):
- "Twilight Saga" by Stephanie Meyer
- " Leonardo's Swan" by Karen Essex
- " Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte
- " Scandal of the Season" by Sophie Gee
- "1984" by George Orwell
- " Alchemist", " The Zahir" and " Eleven Minutes" by Paulo Coelho
- " Gone with the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell
- " Sister Carrie" by Theodore Dreiser
- " Memoirs of Geisha" by Arthur Golden
- Anything and everything by Agatha Christie.
I am always looking to read something new and interesting... I would really appreciate if you would leave me some suggestions.
Details...
As for my outfit... well, I often times prefer simple when it comes to dressing...but with neat details, that's why I adore this top. When I ordered it, I had no idea how incredible it is... I loved it from the start but not in the way I do now. The cut is casual, the cotton is super soft...it is perfect for everyday. But the details are what makes it more than everyday throw on shirt - the perfectly cut collar with an interesting tie, cute little pearl buttons at the shoulders, and the sheerness of the stripes.
It is the same thing with Corpus jeans( I adore Corpus jeans, I have few pairs and adore them - would strongly recommend them), which have a pinch pleat down front of the leg... which makes them feel less casual.
I love how some everyday items can feel so special.
Sometimes it is not about bold patterns or color, but about simple details that can maybe even the most casual outfit feel special - therefore making yourself been good.

I am wearing:
Rails Peyton Long Sleeve Tee
Spring & Clifton V-neck Long Cardi
Corpus Alpha in Cracked
Pearl Earrings
American Apparel Lame Headband
Michael Kors booties
So, to bring all the details together - I decided to pull my hair in a high messy bun with a headbaand pearl earrings( to go along with pearl buttons) and to make it more winter friendly I added a long cozy cardi with colorful buttons.
I would like to thank you all for your support and apologize for taking a while to respons...school is killing my behind, lol.
I wish you all a lovely Tuesday!!!
With Love ...
Marta

I was getting ready to go out to a cozy little jazz cafe when I snapped these pictures. Although, I was really excited for the night, I was also overtly frustrated on what to wear? I could not decide on what to pair with the dress : the cardigan or the blazer ... In the end, I chose the blazer. What do you think? Which one would be a better choice for the next time? .... Honest opinions always appreciated ... thanks :)
