Hello Darlings,
The other morning while I was getting dressed for a casual breakfast at my favourite local cafe, I heard a calm yet inquisitive: "What are those?"

"Those" he was referring to were my favourite See by Chloé shorts with tiny bows. To say the least, I adore them. To say that he hates them is an understatement...
Hello Darlings,
In my opinion, running shoes should not grace the feet of woman outside her exercise routine. I am not suggesting that all athletic footwear is a fashion faux pas, since as we all know there are exceptions to every re with every rule.
One of those exceptions you can explore is the Converse brand. Nowhere near faux pas status, their all-American shoe is an icon, so popular that according to surveys 60% of Americans claim to have owned a pair at some point in their lives.
Although created as basketball shoe almost 100 years ago, it was not until the 1950’s that Converse shoes graced the feet of some of the world’s biggest stars. Converse earned its iconic status on the feet of The Beach Boys, James Dean and Elvis. In the 21st century, Converse also holds a prominent place in many women’s closets along with the Louboutins and Manolos.
Last Thursday, I had attended a media preview for the Converse Fall 2011 collection and went ga-ga over the Dr. Seuss kids’ edition shoes. Who wouldn’t want to wear anything that states “I don’t like green eggs and ham”? As for the men’s collection, the John Varvattos kicks were AMAZING!
I am wearing:♥ Talula Babaton Silk Blouse♥ Club Monaco Zowie Skirt♥ Aldo Basenji Cotton Clutch♥ Pretty Ballerinas Flats in Glow♥ Michael Kors Watch♥ Marc by Marc Jacobs " House of Cards Court Harem" ring set♥ Chanel Sunnies♥ Carrying a Converse BackpackAs for me, I wore my favorite neon Pretty Ballerinas to the event. I figured that a lunch event called for a simple blouse and my newly favorite Club Monaco Zowie skirt with a pop of color courtesy of my shoes and nail color.
What is your favorite way to wear Converse Sneakers?

Hello Darlings,
It is no doubt that the F1 is one of the most exclusive and indulgent event in the city of Montreal. For this one weekend, racing fans gather for the only Formula 1 North American race. The city is filled with tourists from around the world, and comes alive with their excitement.
Although there is no denying the value of The Grand Prix as a sporting event, the weekend is essentially a quest for how many activities one can fit into 72 hours! The races took place on Gilles Villeneuve Circuit, which is located on an island, so it is hard to travel to and from. Despite all the hassle, closed off streets and distracted tourists, the weekend was definitely rewarding.
Hello Darling,
Thanks to EXIT Salon my hair feels beautiful. The relationship has been a wonderful experience and following my color post, here are styling tips and tricks on how to achieve perfect hair. What I learned from Leland is that beautiful hair is attainable as long as you understand your hair type and its needs.
Be In The Know
1. Always be prepared and have a clear idea as to what you really want.
Pictures are the easiest way to know what someone wants.
A picture will give your stylist a clear idea of what you want.
2. There is always going to be a NO.
Stylists know when a certain style is not suitable for you.
Be open and prepared to adjust
A good stylist will always take the time to find a good alternative.
3. If you don't like the cut, figure out the miscommunication.
If you're unhappy do not be afraid to share.
It is easier to fix the cut with the same stylist then going elsewhere.
4. It is best if you have a consultation before the cut, even if you're a regular.
A salon hat does not have many magazines is trouble.
Every salon should offer magazines as inspiration.
5. Cut VS Trim
There is no difference between the two.
Any cut takes the same amount of time regardless the length that is being taken off.
Ger a haircut whenever you feel ready. Although it is advised to do it every 6 to 8 weeks.
5 Tips When Looking For a New Salon
1. Well known salon
2. Offers Consultations
3. Offers Friendly Service
4. Has Magazines
5. A stylist who is a good listener
Drugstore VS Salon Quality Products
1. Drugstore products contain high amounts of chemicals and waxes.
They make your hair look and feel healthy by depositing the chemical and waxes.
They do not improve your hair, they just improve the look.
2. If you use "box color" then you could get away with drugstore products.
The color formula is different from what is used in a salon.
"Box colors" are metallic dyes which last longer.
The color bonds are strong and the molecules are larger, which is harder to rid.
It is hard for salon professional to lift out "box color".
If you're getting salon color then you should be using salon quality products.
Hair Essentials
1. Good shampoo and conditioner
2. One or two styling products that are specific to your hairs needs.
More than two is just confusing.
If your stylist recommends a product, it is because is it best for you hair.
Ask your stylist for recommendation as they know your hair best.
Know your hair texture as wrong products can cause more problems.
3. Round Brush
Ceramic brushes gives shape as it heats up and manipulates the hair.
Boar Bristle Brush which is good for smoothing out hair and for adding shine.
For coarse hair, boar bristle brushes are ideal, and ceramic brushes are best for styling.
4. If you flat/curling iron, use a good one.
Make sure that the iron has ceramic plates and not ceramic coating.
When ceramic coating comes off, your hair is cooking.
Do not use flat iron that does not have head adjustment setting.
Do not exceed 210 degrees when styling hair. This also applies for curling irons.
The following are the items that I use on daily basis to style my hair.
Styling Tips
1. Pre-dry your hair 75-80%.
It should feel dry but with moist parts.
2. Always style front to back.
3. To add volume
Always pull your brush up.
If your hair is getting stuck in a brush, chances are you are taking too much hair.
Your section should never be wider than the actual brush.
4. Beach-y Hair
Always the biggest summer trend.
To get the look, wash the hair and add braids before bed.
I am wearing:♥ Talula Babaton Silk Blouse♥ See by Chloe Bow Bloomer Shorts♥ Repetto "Rose Amour" Ballet Flats♥ Chanel Sunnies ♥ A.V. Max Studded CuffThis is the outfit that I wore out for late lunch following my hair appointment, with my favorite See by Chloé, a simple silk blouse and flats. During summer, I enjoy wearing easy looks that are effortless and breezy. Also for those that are curious... No, the red hair does not stain light clothing :P Mystery Solved!
Wishing Everyone a Beautiful Tuesday!
