From day to night…
Hello Darlings,
As my favorite stores continue to have amazing sales, today I ventured to Yorkdale Shopping Centre with my mother. I continue to slowly pick up items that will transition me into the fall.
The shocker of the day was Zara, which looked like a tornado went through it. Clothes were on the floor, in piles on the tables, and scattered all over the place. I’ve heard amazing things about Zara from other blogger’s, but my experience discouraged me. So my question goes out to you my darlings, does a messy store and poor customer service discourage you from buying (in that moment or in the future)???
EVENING…As for today’s outfit, well I love wearing outfits that do not require much effort and transition from day to night. I am a firm believer that it is better to be overdressed then under-dressed
That’s the main reason why I love AA Disco pants. The only difference that I settled for is my hair, I put in into a neat ponytail and added a cute bow headband.
I am wearing:
Susana Monaco Top
American Apparel Disco Pants
Mackage Leather Jacket
Gustto Cokera Purse
H&M headband

Love the second picture and yes a disorganized store totally discourages me. I don't even bother looking around when I see a disheveled store.
Sales can be found twofold, but there is no place I would rather shop than in your closet. You have the most divine clothes. I'm so glad that you had a good time!
Those ballerinas are so chic! Very Chanel.
even if it's not.
As for the shopping. I also hate mess in shops, it makes everything feel cheap…
Still sounds like you had a lovely day.
x
I really like how you went from day to night very simply but yet stunning
I see Zara during sales is always the same… I don't get why people get so wild. It's the same thing around here too, one big battle field. But I don't get to be very picky about these things. I just try to go shopping early, when the stores are just open, so I don't get stuck in all this mess.
This is a wonderful outfit, the pants let your long legs come out very well!
black and white pure class.
i have to admit things like that totally put me off, but i'm also a fan of zara and have never experienced one like that in my life & i've been to over a dozen! maybe just a bad day of under-staffing
enjoy your week beauty
x
love ur outfit =]]
u look gorgeous
Shopping and Starbucks. Sounds like my kinda day!
And that outfit is lovely. Perfect for both
I hope you have a lovely day too! I am like you, I get frustrated with any stores where the people who are sitting around chatting and really not interested in helping you out…Your outfit is fabulous!
here in argentina zara looks always untidy during sale (like today!)
what is that green drink in the first picture?? haha
love your outfit your style
xoxo
I love that first "in action" shot of you =) ….and yes, it can be discouraging but for me it depends…I know that during sale time people get "crazier" so I put up with it because I tell myself that it will be worth pulling through this MESS if I can get a great deal…it just takes a little more work…it definately sounds like thrifting would not be most enjoyable for you
…when I find some great online sites that I dont think are a complete rip off….I will let you know
xox
Lovely jacket!!!
Sofi!: hahah… the green drink is a green apple ice tee with tapioca. I love it
You know, even with my type-A tendencies, a giant mess would not stop me from perusing a store I was really interested in. I remember hitting up the Forever21 in Rhode Island when I was in college and it was always a disaster. But it trained me to dig!
I absolutely will leave a store and never go back for poor customer service and I have left stores because the disarray is too much to deal with.
WOW! you look lovely, I love the leather jacket, I have been wanting one of my own lately but I havent found the right one, any suggestions? love your blog you are truly elegant!
I don't like messy stores or stores that play loud, annoying music becuase then I start to get a headache. I love the leggings!
Alanna:I know what you mean… finding an ideas leather jacket is nearly impossible. Personally, I adore Mackage leather jackets, they are truly exquisite. I would recommend them strongly. Leather jacket is one of those things that if worth "investing" into…a good quality jacket will last you years
Best of luck with your search.
I love your outfit, lovely top

well zara is a great store - however during sale season it goes get messy.
i honestly wouldn't be too discouraged b/c when things are not on sale, it is usually very tidy and organized. i love their clothes- they are affordable and stylish.
I definitely have to agree with you when it comes down to Zara and organization. I am also discouraged to walk through that store when everything is so disorganized, especially the store located in Yorkdale mall. It is almost impossible to find anything in that store when the sizes are all over the place. I mean, what is the entire point of hiring employees when they're just going to have side chats with other employees instead of helping you or organizing/running the clothes. Anyways though, you look beautiful dear and your outfits are always so well put together
Those ballet flats are divine!
Good morning! I've got a little award for you on my blog today. Hope you like it. x
Like your bi color ballerina flats in Chanel style, have a pair similar to your but by marc jacobs!
I'm with you on being put off by a messy store… and especially bad customer service. Shopping is as much about the experience as the product so it has to be all good! I have two Zara branches near me and they are both great - never untidy! Both of your outfits are gorgeous BTW! I've left an award mention for you over at mine! x
love that first candid picture of you- the wind in your hair, the starbucks in hand, the lack of eye contact- it looks like a really fab paparazzi shot!
and yes, i totally agree with you about shopping at a carzy messy store. i love thrift shopping but i can only dig at places that are neat and orderly. once things start looking like F21, i'm out.
I LOVE and am a HUGE fan of your blog! Hope you can take the time to check out my site!
We sell Vintage and Designer clothes, shoes, and accessories all in one place. We have some really great things up right now! Studded boots, Alexander Wang halter top, and vintage blazers. Check it out!

I love your jacket, and that cuff is beautiful. Totally know what you mean, I usually skip stores that look overly messy when I go shopping. It pretty much puts me off, because I am not sure it will be worth digging through. And rubbish customer service and rude staff pretty much puts me off shopping there ever! But Zara, during non-sale times, is actually really good, you should definitely give it a look though when things calm down.
the Zara in my town ALWAYS looks like you described!
I've only been into Zara once and I instantly left from the disgust in lack of service and terribly unkept merchandising. Granted, I may have had one bad experience - but I have been in the retail industry (boutiques) for over 8 years, everything from buying and display/merchandising to selling, and to me, lack of service and poor merchandising is the worst. Heaps of clothes and plastic hangers are pet peeves of mine!
As for your outfit, I adore it! Glad you had a wonderful and more relaxing day with Mom and Andrew later on - I think the headband was a sweet choice and I love how it offsets your flats
I completly agree with you on Zara. I think the ones in Europe get the good stuff and we get the leftovers. I have had bad experiences in Zara. Once I had a sweater with me from Bebe and i dropped it, the sales girl picked it up and put it on a sale table and it was gone in a matter of minutes. The staff were acting so strange..makes me believe they took it. The manager said maybe a customer stole it.?? They took no accountability, no sorry. The girl that had found it went to go get it, couldn't find it but never came back to tell me this. Left me standing there for 10 minutes till someone else told me there was never a sweater. Then i boycotted for a bit but couldn't resist purchasing a leather jacket from them. After coming home and inspecting the jacket, one sleeve was a shiny leather, one not. They didn't match at all. The other sleeve was so flimsy like it would rip. They offer no discount. And no repair should the thin leather rip. The girl didn't even reassure me it wouldn't. She said maybe 1 out 100 will rip. They have cheap stuff. I did end up exchanging the jacket for another one, but none r the same. The leather is hard in some spots like plastic and super soft and thin in others. Sorry for the rant. Just wanted to warn everyone!!
I was in Zara last Friday here in New York and there was a crazy sale too. It was such a mess. Yuck! Things were scattered all over but I did manage to find some stuff to try on. Didn't buy anything tho : /
P.S: I love your nail polish!
Anon: thanks for sharing. I have never bought anything from there, mostly because the experience just sucks.
you look beautiful.
x
You have amazing hair, seriously.
