When Time is Not an Option: finding comfort
Hello Darlings,
Every girl has one of those days when everything is a chaos. With a million things to do and the keys are missing again; the day hasn’t begun but you’re already frustrated. Well, that was my Thursday—it was a chaos of unpleasant doctor appointments. Then again, life is not just a chain of happy and fabulous events. There are times when a girl needs to be finding comfort regardless of how disheveled she might feel. Add a touch of blush, smear on some lip gloss and throw on a pair of sunnies….and off you go!
Therefore this is my ” I am not having the greatest day” look! Many of you suggested that I share my most casual look of when I am in a rush—Voila! As most of my days are spent rushing around, I have perfected my take on casual-wear.
The point of this post is not to whine as we all have crummy days but to say that perfecting your casual wardrobe is an emergency exit for those days that need one. Meaning that you should understand what clothing makes you feel comfortable. Do not waste time trying to create a cute look and instead go with an outfit that is familiar. I am not saying that you should not strive for cute, of course you should! But on days like this, you want to feel confident which means comfortable.
I am wearing:
♥ Henry Duarte No.Q65 Lamb Leather Blazer
♥ Club Monaco Stripe T-shirt
♥ 7 for All Mankind Skinny Jeans in Rinsed Indigo
♥ Michael Kors Watch
♥ Accessories&Beyond Bracelets
♥ Ray Ban Wayfarer II Sunnies
♥ Z Spoke by Zac Posen Purse
♥ J Crew Classic Leather Ballet Flat in Smoky Charcoal
For me the comfort lies in a pair of fitted skinnies, a simple tee or blouse, ballerinas and of course sunnies. Sunnies on days like this are the holy grail of “please, leave me alone because all I want is to check my e-mail and finish my cup Starbucks” aka stay back
What is your go-to comfort look?
With Love…
Marta

Just found your blog through Style Blog and loving it! Fabulous header and great content, looking forward to exploring it more xo
Dear Anna,
Look forward to checking out your site and hearing from you!
Thank you so much for stopping by and for such kind words
You look amazingly chic even though you say this is one of your “not so great days”. It’s a very parisian look I think and you still look very pulled together. I love this look
First time here. Awesome blog and great post. Well done.
Your hair looks amazing! What do you ask for at the salon? How often do you go? And what price range do you think is the best?
Dear Cora,
Thank you so much!
I go to Exit Salon in Toronto every month and a half to two for color and cut. I do not like to limit my colorist or stylist so I just trust them to make my hair look the best that it can. I will however mention as to what I have planned for the next month of two like a trip to a warmer climate which will impact the color and the way hair behaves. As for the price range I think that it depends on what you’re comfortable with, however look at the hair as your best accessory. To me hair is important therefore I invest in it with proper services and products. If you’re in Toronto, I can organize a consultation for you at Exit Salon for free. I trust them to take the best care of you including staying within your budget.
