Hello Lovelies,

Boy-o-boy, was it an amazing weekend…it was full of fun and great company :) From a fantastic birthday to a masquerade soiree and all night of arts,;to shopping and then studying for exam while trying to stay up. It was exciting and overwhelming! at the same t I hope everyday had a lovely weekend as well :)
As I mentioned in my previous post, I was wearing my new velvet dress that I picked up from H&M and was dying to debut it…especially, since it was my first time wearing velvet. As I always do before trying something new, I turn to the “go-to”site… style.com to seek some inspiration.
Here are some of my favorite picks:
Chloe; Ralph Lauren; Fendi;Allesandro Dell’Acqua; Moschino
I adore this dress, it is very soft and the color is beautiful… but my favorite part is the open back.I loved that little detail which gave the dress a more evening feel. I think that velvet is perfect for fall and winter…the luxurious feel of it as well as deep hues that it comes in…sheer perfection. I would love to get a pair of velvet trousers, similar to the ones seen at Moschino ( the last picture above).
I was considering wearing an opaque pair of gray or black tights… but both just seemed to overwhelm the look. So I settled for sheer. To top of the dress, I wore my favorite Mackage leather jacket, Kors booties and my new leopard scarf :) The outfit was Birthday party ideal and most importantly I felt great in it and stayed warm during the cold and rainy evening!
I am wearing: H&M Velvet Dress; Mackage Leane Leather Jacket; Mendocino Scarf; Michael Kors booties; Coach Patent Leather Wristlet; Donna Karana pantyhose.

P.S. Also as I’ve mentioned before Andrew and I have been working on a very special project for this blog and will be unveiling it on Wednesday…I’m so excited :) So be sure to check back!

I wish you all a beautiful week!!!
With Love…
Marta

J'adore that velvet dress!! I am going to take inspiration from you… the fabric is gorgeous and luxurious, and I've always been on the brink of buying one.. but I have always found most velvet dresses to be matronly. Yours is most definitely not! I ♥ it, and that colour is perfection!!
