Personal Shopper?…. :S
Hello Darlings,
Don’t you just love errand days, I do! Starting with a quick-y trip to Starbucks….a girl needs her energy boost ( especially since I’ve been feeling more tired lately) followed by a morning of errands that are not considered to be fun by most, but for me one of my favorite activities. I just love spending time by myself….
From one appointment to the next, from one location to another… the morning was full of unexpected and planned event. That is what my Wednesday morning looked like….. followed by an evening spent shopping with Andrew. Well, once in a while if you’re lucky girl, your beloved will ask you for go to shopping for him….
This being one of every girls favorite moments in the relationship, when you proudly take your man to every single one of your favorite stores and have him try on every single item….and best part, he actually doesn’t complain (although in secrecy, he most likely regrets for asking)! Although by now Andrew has made me his personal shopper ( and I enjoy it). He actually does make the effort to try on everything and be sweet about it…. regardless of my tortures with a million of cute sweaters and scarfs
Every time I go shopping now, I shop with him in my mind…whenever I see something I like, I place it on hold for him to come and try out the next day (with me of course) and I make online wish lists and send to him to check out some of the items I found. He is the most irritating and wonderful voice in my head…”awww, this would look so cute on Andrew” or “oooh no, Andrew will probably never forgive me for even looking at those leggings, he hates them.” He would never say anything to me when it comes to shopping but he sure is always in my head and I know exactly what he will think of my outfit or the cardigan that I picked out for him. It is a love/hate shopping partnership with me trying to constantly make him wear cardignas and cashmere and him constantly trying to reasure me that I do not need another one of those cashmere dresses! However along the way we always have a million laughs and fun, and his brother at times does join in on the fun. Shopping with two guys is probably the most fun a girl will have without stopping by Chanel
I am wearing: Tevrow+Chase Wool Sweater; Zara Skirt; Calvin Klein Opaque Tights; Gustto Cokera Purse; Marcio Designs for Davids Shoes Over-The-Knee Boots.
As for my outfit, well I was going for cute, of course….and comfortable! I picked up this adorable skirt from Zara few weeks ago and love it. For obvious reason…. The Bow! and the polka-dots were a perfect little touch. How could a girl say no to a skirt like that…if it looks so adorable with pretty ballerinas and a leather jacket or a pair of pretty mary-janes. It is a one of those pieces that can transition from winter to summer…and I am all for transition pieces!

So Darlings…. now, tell me your thoughts on what think of shopping for men? Good/Bad idea?…. I am curious to find out how many of you shop for or with your significant other
I know I am such nosey little girl
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
P.S. I can’t thank enough for all of your support over the last week… it has been a very difficult time but I am continuing with my positive and perky outlook despite all of the challenges. It is holiday time and everyone should be happy and joyful, right?!
Also be sure to check out a new Liv post on my favorite accessories from spring 2010 (part 2)…. by clicking HERE!!!!
Wishing everyone a beautiful day!!!!
With Love…
Marta

Hi….love love love the skirt!!!
glad you’re so good!!!
oh jeez, shopping for men. Blondie wears a uniform for work (he works on ships) so what he wears at home? I can tell you exactly what’s in his closet. 2 sweatshirts. 2 shirts. A pair of jeans. Sneakers. He’s had the same clothes for 7 YEARS. The jeans have a hole in the butt, but he keeps saying “It’s fine, no one notices”.
I thought I’d be nice and bought him a new pair of jeans, but he complains that they’re “still too scratchy” and wears his holey ones. One day I’m going to burn those jeans. Kidding. Sort of.
Anyway, the guy works in a boiler room down on the equator, sits around in freezing Atlantic water fixing hulls, and can find his way in Nicaragua or where ever, but when it comes to clothes he’s the biggest baby!
I really like that skirt!
. he is a little picky so I cant’t shop for him lol (specially with shoes! omg he worse than woman). but still is fun to hangout with him since we are really close.
and I shop WITH my brother not for him

Love that skirt! & unfortunately, my boyfriend doesn’t let me shop for him. I wish! He lives in polos and jeans.
You look sooo adorable as usual, I absolutely love your Zara skirt! I have been so busy with my studies that I haven’t even had time to stop by Zara or anywhere else
But I think it’s lovely that you shop with Andrew. I love shopping with my bf, but he lives in another country so our shopping sessions are few and far between!
OOoooh And you Frankly make such a graceful “self-makeshift personal shopper” Dear Marta !!! Just like a way to decline your sense of style on an altruistic mode, without any kind of narcissistic haughtiness . . .
à Bientôt, Antoine
I shop for him and he loves it. I also think that skirt is adorable on you! xoxo

loving the bows! need some bows in my life to pair with a blazer.
hope you are keeping warm.
lots of love + holiday wishes

love the zara skirt-too cute! i do shop with my finace, but he is not much of a shopper
xx
i am super lucky because my husband was raised by super stylish women. his mom and sister are fabulous, plus he totally loves clothes and looking well put together. and he loves shopping with me because i take half the time his picky filipino mother does when shopping. although he hates going into sephora with me, he looses all patience.
your skirt is to die for! so stinking cute. love the boots as well. i am still looking for a perfect pair of over the knee boots. no luck so far. well, no luck with otk boots i can afford
looks like you are feeling much better. glad to see it.

i love shopping with my husband. i am so lucky he was raised by super stylish women. his mom and sister are fabulous! he has really great taste in clothes, so it’s fun to help him put looks together. plus, i shop much more efficiently than his picky filipino mother, so he seems to have unlimited patience, unless we go into sephora then it’s all out of the window!
your skirt is to die for! so stinking cute! i also adore your boots. i am still shopping for the perfect pair of over the knee boots. no luck yet, well no luck with a pair i can afford
it’s great to see you are feeling better!!!
I’m in love with that skirt. I’ve been scoping out ZARA for the last few weeks and we didn’t get that design. I love it.
Marta: Still feeling the after effects of the accident? So sorry to hear that. Giving you good health vibes.
Super cute skirt. bow with polka dots is a double treat. I love to shop for my husband and we always go together, though hes very impatient so we can never spend more than 2 hours on his shopping in a day and that includes a coffee stop in between.
That big bow is adorable!
Really cute outfit!
I love shopping for and with my man, it’s a nice experience as long as he doesn’t complain. But I find, as long as there is a nice meal scheduled somewhere during the day, he likely wont complain :p
I love that skirt! I love polka dots, and I love bows… and when the two come tastefully together, it is pure perfection.
When we go shopping in Montreal, I’ll write a post regarding the experience!
Hello Marta, the skirt is adorable!:-) I love polka dots. When it comes to shopping for my husband I do it very rarely, usually when shopping for Holiday gifts. He has his personal shopper for the past 10 years,in addition he likes to pick his clothes himself. I have to admit that my husband always look very well put together, he does take a great care of his wardrobe. The funny part is - he loves to spoil me and very often when sees something he likes he says to me “this would look great on you”, “why don’t you try it on”.
Marta, your bow skirt is super sweet!
You look as lovely as ever — I am so glad you’re feeling a bit better.
Your positive attitude is so refreshing and uplifting
I love that you shop for Andrew! He must really appreciate your keen
sense of style. My guy has about the same sense of style as I do,
and is such a perfect companion. He’s honest and knows fashion,
and is fanatical about details…
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, dear Marta! I am off to
check out your guest post! (part 2)
{xo} Sarah
You look so lovely! I am dying over that skirt, specifically. As for being a ‘personal shopper’, I agree, it is the MOST fun.. I adore it!
