Hello Lovelies,
Today consisted of :

♥Calling few artists- part of my internship.
♥Picking-up some art books from the library.
♥Browsing some on-line stores.
♥Making up my birthday wish-list.
♥Reading “The Age of Innocence”, I am almost done… the book is amazing.
♥Grabbing Starbucks with my mommy.
♥Dropping by Sporting Life to pick up a swim-cap
♥Dropping by Winners and picking up few things on a wicked sale.
♥Swimming 40 laps.
♥Blogging!!!

The day was packed with activities which required a comfortable outfit that I could slip into and out of (makes shopping sooo much easier)…. and of course my favorite Candela oxfords-I love these babies, they are sooooo comfortable and versatile. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! You guys are probably getting tired of seeing them, but I just can’t help myself.

I am wearing: Necessary Objects Cotton Jumpsuit; Talula Wool Blazer;Candela Tokyo Oxfords; Tungsten Rings courtesy Superior Wedding Rings Jewelers; A.V. Max Cuff; H&M Bow Headband.

And a casual day required a casual and easy hair style…. I tend to get annoyed with my long hair constantly falling into my face. Although I really love how long it is and I am still growing it out, I do get frustrated with all the care and nurturing that goes into it. Ever since I started swimming, chlorine has been getting the best of it…
As for the nail polish that I am wearing… it was a little gift from one of my girlies. It is the most perfect shade of pastel pink-OPI Mod About You.

I would also like to thank all of you for your Las Vegas suggestions…. they are very helpful, since I am a complete organization freak and always have everything planed out.

Darling, you may already know this but I thought I would let you know what I do with my long hair when swimming to keep the chlorine from making it dry! Swim caps keep your hair out of your face but my hair still gets drenched when I wear them, so this is what I do:

    - Wet hair in the shower before getting into the pool (if your hair absorbs clean water, it is less likely to absorb chlorinated water)
    - If you have a little more time, add conditioner to your hair. Whatever kind will do.
    - Pull your hair back into a braid, bun, or swim cap.
    - After swimming, rinse the conditioner out. No need to shampoo unless this is something you do every day anyway!

The conditioner really stops my hair from getting dry from the chlorine. I hope this helps you, too!

wow, you look fantastic in that jumpsuit. i don't think too many average women can pull it off, but you rock it :)

  23. S.Elisabeth says:

Ooh! I know what you mean about Chlorine, it's a terror to my hair so much that at its worst the ends of my (nearly black) hair start looking blonde. BLONDE. And 40 laps is amazing-1000 meters/yards!
If you want learning other strokes is really fun as well. Butterfly is amazing for shoulders (I have my body insecurities, but drooping shoulders/flabby arms will NEVER be one of them!), breaststroke is amazing for the legs, especially inner thighs, and back stroke is just nice for streamlining the body and everything.

If you want the more you get into swimming and such, I can you give you some practices that are, at the least 3000 yards (120 laps!) and go by really quite fast.

PS love the outfit, perfect shopping outfit I must say!

  24. Becca Jane says:

i love the simple comfy chic of this outfit.

I can sympathize with the chlorine in the hair - there are some really good shampoos especially for use after pool swims that you might try? I know you can get them at shoppers or somewhere like that - might help?

  25. Kristin says:

Stop torturing me with those fabulous oxfords. I WANT them!

  26. hikari says:

Do you remember how much you paid for your Talula Wool Blazer…its gorgeous. I am looking for one around $200.Thanks.

  27. ♥ Marta ♥ says:

    hikari:
    Hi, how are you? :)

I paid around $220-$250, however I stopped by Aritzia the other day and they received new wool blazers for $200…they are thinner than this one, but sooo cute :)

  28. hikari says:

Marta…I am great! You look lovely as always. Thanks for the info. I will check them out. $220 isn't that out of the budget:)
