Hello Darlings,
I am still asking myself as to why I did not buy this skirt earlier, since I’ve tried it on at least a million times. Every time I would try it on, the “conservative” voice in my head would always talk me out of buying it with a simple question…. “Where are you going to wear a faux leather-like skirt?”
Well apparently everywhere!!!
I am wearing: H&M Tank; American Apparel Late Night Mini Skirt; Juicy Couture ballerinas; Luc Kieffer Barbared Wire Ring; A.V. Max Cuff; Gustto Cokera Purse; Chanel Sunglasses.
After months of doubting I’ve finally bought it and discovered that this skirt is like a pair of black jeans. It is a piece that my closet was lacking.
The skirt is a tiny bit too big and sits very comfortably with none of that annoying tightness. It also makes every simple tee look that much more fun and interesting. I’ve also uncovered today that it works amazingly with a pair of ballerinas… for just a simple and casual look. The idea that this skirt is only for partying is no longer occupying my mind and I am very excited to experiment with it.
Actually, I prefer to wear such attention grabbing piece with something more modest and subtle as a ballet flat, instead of sky-high stilettos. Well, maybe in Las Vegas… or when I am feeling super confident… I will wear it out with my favorite Kors heels for a night of guilty fun! Maybe, one day?!
As for today, it was just flats with a dusty-rose tank with triple chains…. and the detail freak that I am , the tank and flats are an identical color. The triple-chains added a unique touch to an otherwise simple tank.

And that is exactly why I always say you should never listen to that conservative voice in your head. Instead go with your first feeling - I found out it is the most honest adviser. I stopped bying clothes out of reason and I started buying them out of passion and something I call "love from the first sight". Never regretted it! You look stunning in this skirt, very chic, so beautiful, breathtaking really.

I love discovering new wardrobe staples. Sometimes that happens to me with items that I buy and don't wear for months and then decide to give them a shot. I end up wondering why I never wore them sooner! The skirt looks great on you and is totally versatile.

First of all you look absolutely gorgeous. I think you are wearing very nicely. Like the idea of buying it one size up and then adding the feminine silk blouse. It just goes to show there are so many ways you can style one piece of clothing.
You look so chic! You are right about two things - not wearing heels and buying clothes because you love them. I think heels would actually destroy the stylish look and turn it into something, lets say "not so chic". As for buying things that speak to you… I so agree with you on this… I went through a phase of planning my shopping and looking for something on that particular day. More often than not I wouldn't find anything and end up with an "ok" piece that would never ever feel "right". Now I buy things when I see them, something that grabs my attention and most importanly, make me fall in love with them. Wearing such clothes makes me feel beautiful and happy.
