Hello Darlings,

Happy Mother’s Day!!!

I am terrible with touching words. So sweet and short works. I am going to keep it as simple as Thank you Mom! You’re the best :)

My mother’s day fiesta started on Wednesday when Andrew and I went shopping for our mothers…

And let me tell you shopping with your boyfriend in women’s cosmetics department is a lot of fun. Andrew and I carefully studied Chanel and YSL counters and promptly decided that I was to get my mom a stunning YSL make-up and eye cream kit meanwhile Andrew settled on charming Chanel nail polish and mascara. Luckily, both of our moms loved the gifts!

My mother’s day consisted of fun times brunching, grabbing coffee, and just having a good-old-girls time :P So what’s better to wear on mother’s day then flowers and flowers is exactly what I wore.

Today was a chilly but sunny day and I couldn’t wait wear my new purchases!

I purchased this stunning silk dress by Avoca Anthology from Liv by Au Lit a while back and couldn’t wait to wear it. The dress is so perfect for the summer and although I am not a huge floral person, these delicate little flowers is exactly what attracted me to it. It also look so perfectly with my new Talula army surplus. The jacket tones down the sweet appeal of this dress and adds a boyish touch.

Besides the jacket, the latest addition to my wardrobe is this stunning Baraba Rihl purse, I’ve wanted one of her bags for a really long time but had a hard time locating one. Until I came across this one at Holt Renfrew Last Call…YAY! Not only did I finally locate one but it was also 40% off the $360! Double YAY! Her purses are very unique with a travel theme! They are beautifully crafted of leather and canvas and really are the ideal statement piece! Plus, it transforms into three different looks…from a shoulder bag, to a tote, and a clutch. I am a huge fan of her work and look forward to seeing more of the product. This Parisian line definitely has the je ne sais quoi. Look forward to seeing this purse quite a bit :)

I am wearing:

Avoca Anthology Silk Swing Dress— from Liv by Au Lit
Talula Cotton Surplus— from Aritzia, Sherway Gardens
Barba Rihl Purse—from Holt Renfrew Last Call
Michael Kors Booties—from Holt Renfrew, Sherway Gardens
A.V.Max Studded Cuff—from bluefly.com

I will be honest, I am really in love with this outfit. Does that sounds, strange? Probably! But I just love it and felt that a high ballet bun was a perfect twist. Personally, I really do love wearing high buns especially in the summer as it keep the hair neat and frizz proof. Plus, it is the easiest solution for a bad-hair-day. I think that buns always look very chic and simple.

Now, it’s you turn to tell what did you do for mother’s day…..

Lily of the Valley... my favorite flower! I am obsessed with them :)

P.S. Also before I leave I am really excited to announce that I will be hosting another giveaway!!! So be sure to check back throughout this week!

Wishing Everyone a lovely day!!!

With Love…

Marta

Mmh so Dear Marta, Actually I can’t help BUT see in your outfit the (naturally classy) expression of a certain “softly conqueror Freshness” idea !!!!

I love love love this outfit! This is probably by far, my favourite outfit of yours.
The dress has the soft feminine side that you always portray, but with that jacket, it just adds an instant edge to it, which results in this amazingly polished look!

Fell in love with this look on you! I love the booties with the bare legs and flowery dress. I can never get a ballet bun, or top knot bun too sit quite right - I think I’ve given up on them for now. Looks great on you though! Great new purchases! Good to hear you and your mum had a nice mother’s day :) Mine was spent away from my mum sadly, but I’ll see her in two weeks! My sister took her out, while I volunteered at the Walter Van Beirendonck fashion show in Berkley which I’ll have to blog about later :P
