Culinary Delights of SOMA and Pure Spirits

Hello Darlings,

Among the many beautiful places in Toronto, Distillery District is one of my favorites to visit on a sunny day. With cobblestone streets, this historic pedestrian neighborhood has some terrific art galleries, and has numerous restaurants and pâtisseries that will suit the wants of any food lover.

As the Thanksgiving Monday was as sunny and warm as an August day, I spent the afternoon indulging in a delicious lobster pasta at Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill while absorbing the rays of sunshine on their cozy patio. Following an hour-long lunch, I wondered over to SOMA chocolatemaker for an afternoon chocolate treat.

Washington: Where JFK Proposed to Jackie

During Labor Day long weekend, I cheered on E's team at Baltimore's first ever Indy Grand Prix. I loved the city and enjoyed spending my 23rd birthday there. Following the races, E and I spent a few days strolling the streets of Washington and in particular the charming neighborhood of Georgetown.

Celebrating My 23rd Birthday at The Spoke Club

Hello Darlings,
As one of my favorite fashion icons—Audrey Hepburn—said:
" The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows and the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years."

With her words in mind, I embrace yet another year passing birthday. As I was laying in my large comfy bed in a hotel room with 1 hour before the clock fit 12 am, I could not help but feel blessed and slightly overwhelmed. With the best parents, caring family, amazing friends, loving boyfriend and readers as wonderful as you...I feel truly blessed and thankful! Therefore, I would like to thank everyone for making me smile everyday, for making me feel as loved as I do and for making me want to be the best person that I can. I can't express enough gratitude and send out enough thanks!

With Love… in Montreal

Hello Darlings,

One of the best parts of traveling is exploring new places and seeing many new faces. On my recent trip to Montreal, Quebec, I was able to explore a lot of the different downtown areas, eat at many new restaurants, shop in some new stores, and generally had a great experience.

One of the most interesting things about Montreal – in fact, all of Quebec - is it's unique character relative to the rest of Canada. In addition to the distinct language spoken by the majority (French versus English), Montreal is very different socially. But fear not if you are planning your first Montreal trip, since it seems almost everyone working at restaurants, shops, hotels, bars, etc. all speak good english so the language issue is not a challenge.
