Toronto Fashion Week Day 1: JUMA show

Hello Darlings,

Following a grueling week of fashion shows, I was truly looking forward to this weekend to just breeze!

First, thanks to all of the designers and PR companies for allowing me to take part in an event that celebrates the beauty of our home-grown talent. It was a pleasure to go behind the scenes backstage and to attend many of the shows. Also I would like to send out and even more special of a thank you to my best friend Anna and my bf E, they were there every step of the way!

As I was standing in front of a mirror completely overwhelmed, and annoyed at my inability to wear patterns, I came to realize that it doesn’t have to be perfect it just needs to work. To me, mixing patterns is as foreign as rocket science; yet, there I was, trying to make sense of it all. Loving this seasons’ trend of mixing bizarre patterns, I was determined to venture outside my comfort zone and do it.

Spending ten days in Texas was fantastic. And I am very proud to announce that I did it all with only a carry-on :) As for those curious as to "Why Texas ?"... well, the answer is South by Southwest Interactive and the Maple Leaf Digital Lounge, which showcased some of the best in Canadian digital medial technology.

An opportunity to visit one of the leading social and digital medial conference's in the world presented itself and I was just too eager to hop on it :) Geek meets chic indeed...

Stella Artois Film Screening to Celebrate TIFF’s Opening Night‏‏…

Toronto International Film Festival is well underway and downtown is swarmed with celebs, paparazzi, fans, and celebrity stalkers :P Despite being annoyed by the occasional hassle, like most people I enjoy the lively atmosphere and the fun events during the Film Festival. On tonight's WithLoveGabrielle agenda was Stella Artois Film Screening at The Drake Hotel to celebrate the opening of TIFF. Thank you Noor!
