This is why Toronto is the simply the best, at least in my mind!

The variety of people and neighborhoods that it offers is never ending, and exploring something new and fun is always an option. Some people worship NYC, Paris, London and Milan as the most chic and fabulous places on Earth. I don’t disagree on that point, but I will be honest: there’s not a single city that I love more than Toronto!

I love everything about it, including how friendly people are. I love our National Ballet and Opera, our Royal Ontario Museum, our Art Gallery of Ontario, Casa Loma and our CN Tower. I love Toronto fashion week and alternative fashion week I love everything that comes with awesome city.
How many of us actually get to explore our city? Act like a tourist! I did that this past weekend in the company of some friends and Andrew. I finally got to explore Kensington Market. Some of you will be shocked to know that I’ve lived in Toronto for the past eleven years and have never been to Kensington! But I loved it! I just love how comfortable everyone seemed and how easy everything seemed. It was a perfect Sunday morning.
These are my favorite places to be, besides dessert cafes. Because of my deep love and appreciation for them, Toronto’s dessert places essentially deserved their own post. You can check it out here!
This is list is not in any order…I adore every place equally!
I love AGO for obvious reasons.
♥ National Ballet of Canada at Four Season Center
I danced ballet for ten years, and now I just love to enjoy the beauty of it as an audience member.
I adore this place! The view of downtown is breathtaking. It offers a great food and beverage menu. there is also a wonderful patio for the summer time.
♥ The Boiler House at Distillery District
Awesome food and the location is even better. Distillery District is a must-see!
I spend a lot of my lunchtimes there, just enjoying their desserts or sandwiches. Pusateri’s is a supermarket with a café inside.
♥ Hazelton Lanes Patio in Yorkville
This is one of my favorite spots for summer time cocktails with friends. Their drinks menu is wonderful but somewhat pricey.
I love their food and the location is very convenient for shopping after a meal. Andrew and I tend to go there for lunch.
I really love this place! It is charming, artsy and very cozy. Their good is as good as their atmosphere.
♥ Sempre Pizza and Pasta on Bloor St. West
This is my favorite place to satisfy my cravings for Italian food. They just know how to make it perfect every time.
My favorite bar! I just adore their Nacho and their huge patio.
♥ Smokeless Joe in Entertainment District
At the heart of entertainment district, this cozy and cute bar is perfect for a drink after the movies. It offers the largest selection of beers I have ever seen.
♥ Momiji Sushi on Bloor St. West
The atmosphere and sushi are great. This is my favorite spot for sushi.
For now, that is all that comes to my head, but I always share with you my favorite latest finds. Toronto s full of unexpected places and that is the best part, besides the awesome crowds.
Now moving on to the outfit part of the program…it is a she wore/he wore! Yup, Andrew is in this post again. Let’s just say I’ve been practicing my photography skills on him. He is not a very willing model, let’s put it this way
But I managed… Andrew is wearing his “uniform:” jeans, a pea coat, and sneakers.
Andrew is wearing: Diesel Shirt; Juicy Couture Pea Coat; Jean Paul Gaultier Jeans; Ray Ban Aviators.
As for me, I decided to take my new Sonya Rykiel top for an adventure in Kensington. I love how bright this top is! It adds a perfect amount of color to a simple and lazy Sunday outfit!
I am wearing: Sonya Rykiel pour H&M top (H&M) ; J Brand ’12 pencil jeans (Winners) ; Mike & Chris “Paul” Hoodied Leather Jacket (Holts Last Call); Bloch patent leather flats (from revolveclothing.com); Michael Kors Watch (gift from Andrew); Ray Ban Wayfarers (gift from Andrew); Marc by Marc Jacobs Earrings ( from Nordstrom Soho); Gustto Cokera Purse ( from revolveclothing.com)
P.S. I know that some of you have asked me about my “mission” post and I just wanted to let you know that it is a work in process! As part of that “mission” I have decided to overhaul my spring/summer closet and sell some of the items that I have gently worn or new and that deserve a new home
So, yes darlings… I am working on an ebay store!!! This spring is very exciting as a lot of changes have taken place following the accident and this season for me is a starting over phase. So wish me lots of luck on my exams and essay, so I can get them over with and move on to try an recover

I love your sweater! The colors look great with your hair. Also, your ballet flats are super cute. I need to do some spring cleaning as well. xo

Marta! Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. You have the perfect transition to Spring outfit. I definitely agree with you on your top places! I adore the Distillery District and Kensington Market. I also really enjoy Greek Town in the Bloor-Danforth area. They really have some amazing restaurants there. In the summer time, I really like going for walks in Edwards Garden, its just a shame that you aren’t allowed dogs in there anymore. I am too excited for Spring/Summer!

Marta! Thank you for your kind comments on my blog as always. You are wearing the perfect transition to Spring outfit! I, like you, adore the Distillery District and Kensington Market as well. If you get a chance, you should check out woofstock in the St. Lawrence Market area. I think it happens around June and its a really fun time! I also love taking walks in Edwards Garden during the summer time, its such a shame that they don’t allow dogs in the park anymore. Anyways, as always, good luck with all your school work!

I know what you mean! I’ve lived less than an hour from Philadelphia all my life and I’ve barely explored there (although given its current status as the murder capital now…), but when I was younger my family and I did the whole tourist thing there. We saw all the historical things left over from when Philly was the capital of the country.
Love your outfits and I’m glad you had a fun time! I must go to Canada someday soon; there’s so many places I want to see and I never hear anything bad about Canada.
Correct me if i`m wrong, but I think you forgot to mention Kensington Market even though some of your pictures are from there (PS i love exile). I wish I lived in the heart of Toronto, I live in boring old Markham…. Hmm…. I really like the glasses place at Kensington (the one where every pair is like five dollars)
Hi Alan,
I’m not very familiar with Kensington because I’ve been there only once, so I can’t really recommend any places. But I will definitely check out exile!
great post! will have to check some of those places out when i visit toronot!
Kisses,
Stephanie
oh, beautiful blog! congrats <3

Wow: Toronto looks really beautiful I went there once for a few days and loved it so much! I also love yourt outfit. The Sonia Rykiel suits you so well.
I absolutely love the clarity of these pictures, and the colourful graffiti! I had no idea Toronto was so colourful.
Love those flats! I was trying my hardest to get a pair in my size but they were all sold out last year.
Those jeans look super wonderful on you.
I’m a huge fan of J Brand!
I am in utter adoration of your fabulous sweater. Love Love Love!
Also, I have yet to explore Toronto much, but this post is so perfect for when I do!!
