Hello Darlings,
Today, was yet another dinner party at a restaurant followed by Romeo and Juliet Ballet. As for those of you living it Toronto, I would suggest that you get your tickets... the performance is absolutely incredible. Very visual and emotionally packed - you won't be able to take your eyes of the stage. I am still overwhelmed with excitement as to how wonderful it was :)
As for my outfit, well I went for simple...with a touch of sparkle :)
Sources: national geographic; lolita.
I love this dress in ways that cannot be explained...it is simple with a tint of sparkle and goes with everything and anything. Of course, I had to wear my leather jacket that I am in love with... I must admit that I never thought that a leather jacket would work for me but I finally understand why there's so much hype around leather jackets - they give character to the most boring outfit and of course, makes you feel like a " bad ass" ( lol).
I am wearing: Maggie Ward Dress; Mackage Leather Jacket;Club Monaco Cashmere Scarf; A.V. Max Gold Studded Cuff;CK Tights Coach Patent Leather Wristlet; Ruthie Davis " Screen" Heels with Swarovski Crystals
As for the details of my outfit: well, I wore my all time favorite shoes by Ruthie Davis. These shoes always make me feel like a princess and to match the patent leather of the shoe, I wore patent leather Coach wristlet. I really love how the Swarovski crystals on the heels go perfectly with the sparkle of the dress and the patents leather adds a bit a little something to the entire outfit. I kept everything else, including hair and make up, fairly simple.... just the way I like it, simple with beautiful details :)
Tomorrows plan is to spend sometime in Art Gallery of Ontario for my art critique assignment...I am really excited to go, because the gallery was just re-do my Frank Gehry- so I can't wait to see that he did with it. I will try to take some pictures .
I wish you all a lovely and fun weekend :)

With Love...
Marta
Hello Darlings,
As for my hair, well that was a pain... first it was down then it was up and then down again. I couldn't make up my mind.... What do you think?
P.S. I would like to send out a special thanks to Danz from Fatal Attraction 2 Fashion for the lovely awards.

I would like to pass these on to every single blogger out there!!!!
Thank you so much for your support :)
Well, off I go to study for my exam....
" A piece that was once relegated to the masculine set has now been streamlined as a series of soft silhouettes for spring, varying from fluid trousers to daring dhoti styles to chic cropped cuts. Paired with blazers, blouses, and knits, these smart looks were topped off with playful purses."

I've always adored trousers and this season seems like a perfect time to experiment with different styles. Personally, I always stick with a men's inspired loose trouser, only only because they are comfortable ( like pjs) but also because they have they easy cool look. However, this seasons I am definately ready to try out different styles...we'll see where that takes me, lol.
I just body-con top with an interesting lace print and an open back...it was simple but not office-y. It is just a matter of experimenting... and that's what I am still doing.
Loose
I prefer a simple black higher waist trouser with pleats and that is made of cotton wool blend. They are perfect for work, everyday casual, or even for dinner or cocktails. This look I wore for a dinner...

I am wearing:
Club Monaco Top
French Connection Trousers
Michael Kors booties
A.V.Max Cuff

Hello Lovelies,
Well, today was yet another day spent shopping ... but this time, not for myself ( well... maybe just a little bit) but for my beloved. I think that shopping for someone else is so much more fun, than for yourself.... or maybe it is just me. Although, I do like receiving gifts as well... haha, who doesn't.
BUNDLE UP!!!
Since, I live in Canada... and this is how our weather has been :
( During the drive home ...tonight)
The first thing I did, when I purchases Beckham's book was turn to the "winter" section. And then I quickly turned to the section on scarves.... and here's a short quote:
" Long chunky scarves look really beautiful and I recommend Louis Vuitton and Burberry..... I prefer my scarves in plain colour blocks, but colorful stripped ones look equally good." (pg.238)
Although I really do like her book and it is a fun read some of her suggestions are a tiny bit ridiculous ... Louis Vuitton and Burberry scarf? Really? - I mean of course, we all have couple of hudred dollars of spare change lying around for a cozy little scarf. She does mention Gap ... for colorful scarves. I wonder if she has ever even been to Gap ( just a random thought).... lol. By the way, I really do love her style and in no way is this a critique of her personal choice, but only my personal opinion. Since I am pretty sure that people who can buy Vuitton and Burberry scarves like I buy my Starbucks ( everyday) ... have personal stylists and I am pretty sure are not going to be reading this book - for fashion advise. Although, I will give her credit, for trying to mention more accessible stores like Topshop, H&M,Zara, etc ... throughout her book ( which I will quote once in a while since, some of her advice is pretty cool)
My favorite Fall 08 Runway Looks....
( then it comes to fur scarfs go faux ...it is more fabulous then real animal skin)
Well, for those of us who are not exactly Victoria Beckham's - budget is important... So, my personal recommendation would be Club Monaco Cashmere Scarves ( they are also on sale now, for $60, from $120 - in Canada) .... they are really long and cozy and the quality of cashmere is really good... I have a few things from them in cashmere and they look great after a winter or two ....Nice cashmere scarf is a good investement if you live in freezying environement. It will keep you warm and cozy throughout the brutal winters.
.... And my mommy being an angel that she is just got me the most perfect scarf to match my Autumn Cashmere Dress....thank you mommy.
MATCH-Y MATCH-Y???
I am wearing:
Autumn Cashmere cashmere dress
Club Monaco cashemere Scarf
80%20 Jackie Hidden Wedge Crinkled Patent Leather Boots
Accessories & Beyond Gold Bracellets
Calvin Klein Opaque Tights - went it comes to thick tights, his are the best.
Another thing, I would recommend is... when wearing a cashmere dress, you might want to wear a thin slip - since cashmere dresses tend to be slightly sheer and they also cling to the body.A pretty slip makes sure that the dress sits perfectly, without ridding up, clinging, or the embracing " in the light" moments. Call me old, fashioned but I think investing in a pretty silk, slinky slip is a must for any woman ... especially one that wears many dresses.

I still can't believe how well my mommy matched the scarf to the dress... I love it!!!
Thank you all for your lovely comments - reading them, really does bring me lots of joy. I would especially like to thank the lovely Nita - Karoliina for the amazing award, which I would like to pass to every single one of you.

P.S. Statick - Hair Problem: In my last post, I mentioned that I could no longer deal with my statick-y haire...WELL, I FOUND A SOLUTION THAT WORKS and boy was I excited. My friend suggested using Dryer Sheets ... sounds weird but toss one in your purse and when needed gently run over your hair and TATA it is perfect once again. The dryer sheets are ment to eliminate static....and work charms on my hair. You know what they say drastic times = drastic measures!!! And this is the only thing that works for me ...
