My favorite memory is the time that my no hubby tried to make me dinner for Valentine’s Day. He actually ended up burning the spaghetti to the bottom of the pot! We managed to salvage most of the spaghetti so dinner was a success in the end
Also, does the contest end November 11, 2014 or February 11, 2014?
My favorite Valentine memory was when I was pregnant with my first child ( 7 months) and my husband surprised me with a night at a fancy restaurant , night at a hotel , chocolates ,rose’s and a gift card to buy something for myself. It was a great valentines day ,and one I will never forget.
Best Valentine’s, came home to dinner cooked and the house cleaned. It was wonderful.
I obviously love spending Valentine’s Day with my fiance but my favourite memory actually comes from the first year of our relationship when we did long distance. I wasn’t expecting anything but sure enough, I got a package in the mail for Valentine’s Day. He included an adorable card with a hand written love note, my favourite sweets, and a purple snuggie. It seems silly but I loved it and it was nice to have a present to cuddle up in that reminded me of him.
My favourite memory isn’t from any relationship I’ve been it. It is from when I was a little girl, probably around 7-8 years old. My dad brought me home a peach coloured carnation and a box of chocolates. I can still remember what the carnation looked and smelled like.
My favourite memory is my fiance and I staying in and spending time together making a special dinner.
My first Valentine’s with my boyfriend. We went to my favourite restaurants and I got some pretty tasty edible arrangements.
My birthday is Valentine’s Day. So I usually get ripped off. I would love to win some sexy lingerie and surprise my man. I am not usually one to buy these types of things as I have had body issues in the past that I have finally come to terms with. My favorite birthday or valentines day memory though was getting my french bulldog last year Mo. He is the gift that keeps on giving!
<3 Happy Valentines day Marta!
First valentine as a married woman
My first valentines day with my boyfriend when we cooked me dinner
My first date with my husband of almost 24 years, was my most memorableValentine’s. He took me out for dinner and somehow managed to drop a full glass of red wine on my lap. I was wearing a cream coloured pencil skirt at the time. I will never forget it; I didn’t get mad, we just laughed..
Sad to say I haven’t actually had any valentines days worth mentioning! My boyfriend is studying in Australia this year so we’ll be celebrating V day in March…
I’m sure it’ll be amazing though. He’s always got the most adorable surprises up his sleeve!
x
this year will be the best valentine’s yet, my first one with my bf!
I worked at a restaurant at the time and ended up having to work way past my shift ending. I texted him saying how bummed I was I had to work later - I was so exhausted. When I got home our bedroom was candle lit and there was massage table in the middle of the room! He had borrow it from a friend. Seriously the best surprise ever.
I actually ended up falling asleep during the massage though… whoops
My favorite Valentine’s was the time I was taken to a room that was beautifully decorated and then for lunch we went to a really nice upscale restaurant.
Waking up to pink and red balloons, rose petals and heart shaped love notes all over the house
My favorite Valentine Memory is the year I got all dressed up sexy. Lots of makeup and sexy clothes. I was so proud to show my then-boyfriend and he looked right at me and said “you kinda look like a hooker!”. I ran upstairs and took it all off but could not stop laughing. 20 years later, we are still together and happily married.
Haagzs Ice Cream and Bridget Jones’s Diary
Bf and I relaxing at home and making dinner together.
Favourite memory is when my friend came to visit which happened to be over valentine’s day and asked to join us on our valentine’s day dinner out. At the restaurant you see all the couples and then there is the three of us
Mon meilleur Valentin, c’est un voyage dans le Sud que mon amoureux m’a offert!
Coming home to a room filled with hundreds of candles and romantic music playing, we slow danced for 1/2 hour before having a lovely meal.
Showing up at my now wife’s house on our first valentine’s with ridiculously overpriced flowers- won her heart that day.
My favorite Valentine memory was the first with my now wife. We were in college and we were absolutly broke but I still wanted to bring her out for diner so we went to this fancy restaurant and asked if we could order off the regular menu and not the prix fixe. We ended up sharing the cheapest pasta dish with water to drink, Although we didn’t have all the luxuries atleast we had each other.
I have memories of my girlfriends and I dressing up and going out for valentine’s day dinner and dancing as a kind of rebellion. Though, there is something sweet about valentine’s day if you have a nice bf to spend it with and this year I’ll be cooking dinner with him. I bought an apron so I look like MArtha Stewart (aka a legit chef)… but hot red, with a Spanish flare so it’s not too mom like ahaha.
My favorite Valentines Day memory is the one where I was a single mom. With a six months old and my local community offered a dinner for all single parents and they had our children create beautiful flower handprints. That gift was priceless. Being shown how special you are on a day designed for couples it was amazing. The every lasting little hands prints will always be my favorite treasure
This Valentine’s day should be very memorable, especially if I win this giveaway!!
my best valentines was a week after having my tonsils removed at age 21… i couldnt eat much, and at the time was not a good cook, so i made homemade chicken fingers for the gf and I…. or maybe I remember it being good because i was on T3s…
My favourite Valentine’s Day memory is getting 2 deliveries from my boyfriend at work. All the women in the office were going nuts at my desk. The guy in the office who was crushing me though a candy gram on my desk and walked away in a huff.
One Valentine’s Day I worked the evening shift and was surprised by a delivery (sans flowers) with a card stating the reason for just a card is that my bags were packed and ready to leave for a two night getaway directly after my shift.
On my best Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I traded mixtapes. Every time I hear those songs, I’ll think of him.
On Valentine’s Day, my BF surprised me at work with flowers and chocolate, followed by homemade dinner and dessert.

Favorite Valentine’s day was last year - newly engaged, both of us had been traveling for work and missing each other. Stayed in, Ordered Chinese food, watched movies in our pajamas!
My favourite v-day memory was when my long-distance boyfriend surprised me at my then university and took me out to the restaurant where we had our first date. We went skating shortly after and I remember it more for the feelings that I felt on that day (my first v-day with him). Two years later, let’s see what he does this year! I still love the giddiness of surprises!
My fave Valentines is when my boyfriend took me to Vancouver Island for a getaway as a surprise!
When I received a beautiful handwritten love letter..so personal and sentimental.
My favourite Valentine’s Day memory is the first one spent with my boyfriend. He knows how much of a nerd I am and took me to see a Harry Potter live stage show! We had front row tickets and I LOVED it. May not sound romantic, but for me it was… I even still have the Harry Potter glasses and scroll.
Favourite memory is when the smoke detectors started going off because of too many candles in the living room for a romantic evening.
My first Valentine memory was probably in 3rd grade when the girl I had a crush on gave me a Valentine before I even got a chance to give her mine. I felt so special :p

My favourite valentines day memory is spending it at my parents flower shop and seeing people come in and buy flowers and presents for their significant others and hearing all their special valentines day plans.
My favorite Valentine’s Day memory is spending my first one with my boyfriend - he’s not much for celebrating Valentine’s Day (his reasoning is that he doesn’t need just one day to celebrate his love for me!) but I got flowers, chocolates and a nice dinner.. Oh and a wonderful evening with my man!! <3
My favorite memory was when my husband was scheduled to be away for Valentines but he flew home early to surprise me.
Valentine’s Day is about celebrating everyone you love! But my favourite was outdoor ice skating with big snowflakes falling around us. Magical! Free rinks in many Canadian cities - check it out :o)
We went out to a nice restaurant during a big snowstorm, we had the place almost to ourselves, very romantic

30 years ago I was away at university. Had just experienced a tragic accident, my room mate died in a house fire. My friend back home offered to take me out to dinner and a movie, which just happened to fall on Valentine’s day. My friends at school were all “oooh”, but I insisted he was just a friend. And you can guess… We married. That would be a favourite memory.

Being able to surprise my girlfriend with a romantic night out.
making a romantic home made meal on valentine’s day with my boyfriend
Sometimes the simple things are best…I’m been out to dinner with my significant other on Valentine’s but the over-crowded tables and restaurant reminded me of being a packed sardine (even though the dinner date was super thoughtful and romantic)…my favourite memories are just staying in, cooking a nice meal and spending time together.
favorite memory occurred 3 years ago, when my then girlfriend donated bone marrow to my nephew.

I can’t really tell you my favorite memory exactly - but I can say I had a wonderful glow afterwards!!

I think it was the year my husband and I cooked lobster for the first time on valentines day.
In the past, February 14 brings me nothing but trouble. I’ve had 2 serious boyfriends so far, but both of them RUINED Valentines day for me. Both times I was left disappointed and even embarrassed. ANYWAYS, I have plans with a new guy I’m seeing, and I’m feeling really optimistic.
My favourite Valentine’s Day memory was in grade seven when the sweetest boy gave me the cutest heart necklace. I still have it and that was 10 years ago!
My best Valentines day was when someone treated me like the most special woman in the world. Every little detail was thought of and fine tuned just for me. It really was a magical day.
My favorite Valentine’s day was the first with my now husband. He complained that he always got ripped off because his birthday was 2 days before Valentine’s so he would always get just a 1 gift combo for both days. I got him 2 great gifts - on the 12th and on the 14th. He was shocked i think. It made me feel great.
My favourite Valentines would be taking my incredible husband to my sister’s wedding to witness their vows on Valentines day. There was so much love in the air!
I have one favourite memory on Valentines day and it was last year. I am enrolled in a University quite far from my hometown. It was hard to see loved one’s often because of the distance that came between us. I just assumed that I would be unable to see my boyfriend on Valentine’s day because he never mentioned anything about it. On the day of Valentines day, I was walking home from class back to my residence to find my boyfriend standing outside with a dozen red roses waiting for me by his pick up truck. It was like something out of the movie. I was so surprised and filled with happiness. That evening we went out for a beautiful dinner and went skating afterwards. Just when I thought the night couldn’t get any better, we got back to my dorm room and pulled out a picnic basket filled with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. It was such a beautiful night and something I will remember always.
Going to Fatburger with my boyfriend because we were too poor to go anywhere nice - and still had a good time!

my sweetie and I don’t normally do much for valentines day, but I’m a serious foodie. One year he reserved a table at an impossible to get a table restaurant that I have been wanting to eat at for a while. The meal was great and the memory is fantastic
My favourite Valentines was when I was 17. My boyfriend and I didn’t have much money so we just hung out and later in the night we went to a store to see if there was half-price candy yet.
No favourite Valentine’s moment. Actually dislike the day very much, but one year when I was 17 my Dad was given tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters here in Calgary, and I took my little sister to see it and that was on Valentine’s Day that year. So close enough
My Favourite valentines memory is last year. My fiancé and I are saving for our wedding so our valentines budget is small. We agreed not to spend any money on one another, however when I got home there was a balloon, some candy, and a romantic note. It’s the small things that mean the most.
My favourite Valentine’s day was in grade 8. Our school sold flowers that were to be delivered on the afternoon of February 14th. I ended up getting 4 separate deliveries, including one from a secret admirer. I have always felt ugly, so receiving so many flowers really made me feel special.

I can remember the first true Valentine I had. He was such a sweetheart and the nicest boy. I just felt bad because I wasn’t attracted to him the way he was to me. Even still, I had such a wonderful time.
My first REAL Valentine was and is my current boyfriend. He was the first to ever really put time and effort into making the day extra special for me. Our first Vday together he walked 3.5km with a gigantic stuffed bear, flowers and chocolate out in the cold to be with me and took me out on a romantic dinner and movie date.
Took my girlfriend out to a fancy restaurant and watched a play after!
When I was the only gal in the office to get flowers.

when my husband bought me a dozen roses.
My favourite Valentine’s Day memory was the first Valentine’s Day I shared with my girlfriend. We went to Wendy’s. I was broke at the time. We still had a wonderful date. If your girlfriend doesn’t mind you taking her to Wendy’s for Valentine’s Day, you know she’s a keeper.
Having dinner before the actual Valentines night so that we are not rushed and crammed in and enjoyed our dinner.
This may not sound super romantic but my favorite Valentine memory is setting up a beautiful candle lit table with very sophisticated food and décor and having dinner with my husband and our two kids both under 10. They have since grown but I know they both do this for their families which I am so proud of!
