My husband and I are going on our first weekend away together since the wedding in August 2012 to Vancouver to go skiing at Cypress Mountain. Though my husband is really not that coordinated and is quite new to skiing, he is going with me because he knows how much I love skiing and wants to spend time with me. We both have incredibly demanding jobs, he’s a Mechanical Engineer and I’m high school music teacher. We are taking the ferry over from Victoria on Friday and cannot wait to go away together!
My next weekend getaway will be spent at the cabin, with my rescue dogs <3 Nothing better!

Hoping my next weekend getaway is to Lake Louise of Banff, AB for my 2nd anniversary. So romantic snuggling up in the mountains. Chocolate tea would make a fab addition!

I’m thinking my next weekend getaway trip will be down the Nova Scotia coastline to the Far Far Away Guesthouse. Nice quiet spot, with lots of opportunities for some outdoor photography.

I remember when I was in my mid-twenties, my husband and I used to go to Quebec City for weekend getaways fairly often! The last time we went was with our baby in the fall. I just love all the cafes that are within walking distance downtown. I also found the women very, very nice. They all helped me lift my stroller up into the store entrances!
Our next weekend getaway will be during Family Day. We are planning on taking a trip to NYC.

My boyfriend and I have been talking about heading over to Seattle and having a “childhood trip”. Meaning we’d do all the fun things in Seattle that we’d do if we were visiting when we were younger. This includes going to the aquarium, purchase of ridiculous huge stuff animal included, the zoo, the science centre of course! Relive a little bit of education. And who could exclude the Wild Waves Theme Park? This trip is just going to give us the chance to let loose, leave our stressful lives behind and just have fun the way we all used to when we were kids. It will also be our first over night trip together as a couple. I am so excited!

It’s adorable, full of antique shops, amazingly cute coffee and tea shops, and overall the city has that old charm that one might find in a small European town. I’m an arts and entertainment journalist, so I don’t get away for weekends very often. But I’m planning a trip up to my family’s cabin in Saskatchewan’s Cypress Hills, to drink tea and write all by myself. So a box of delicious chocolate teas would certainly come in handy!

Vancouver, BC. I like to stay on Granville Island, and shop at the market there. It is quiet and fun, and a bit small town feeling, but still has the accessibility to everything in the big city. I also love to go to Oakridge Mall and stock up on my David’s Tea while I am there. Yes you can order it online, but it is not as fun as shopping instore, and sniffing all the containers.
Going snowboarding in Quebec city would be my next weekend getaway, if I can ever get away!

Hi! it is a wonderful event..where the women wear any gown they want..wedding gowns are worn alot! it is decorated just like a wedding..all the tables are decorated..have a wonderful buffet meal..there is a bar..and a dis-jockey for the dancing..raffles and prizes and a guest speaker..was sold out within 2 weeks of tickets on sale..I know some places have them also.. Google for your area..ya never know! 😉

My next weekend getaway is a two night stay at the Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa in Victoria BC. My husband and I are celebrating our 10-year anniversary of our first date. We thought we would splurge and do it up right with a one bedroom suite with a private hottub on the balcony and a living room area with a cozy fireplace. We have never explored Brentwood Bay so we will see what the township has to offer for the very first time. I am so excited to celebrate 10 years of love with the man I am spending the rest if my life with. I hope we always show our love for one another in new and wonderful ways.

My next weekend getaway will be on Feb 24. Packing up my running gear and two running girlfriends for a sleepover at my aunt’s house in Edmonton. She takes such good care of me and feeds me so well. I’m so jealous that you can weekend getaway to somewhere like Quebec. I was there last September and loved it! I especially miss Davids tea which we frequented so often while there the girls in the shop learnt our names! Unfortunately once home (New Zealand) I discovered that davids tea don’t ship internationally and there is really no substitute for it here in NZ! Anyway back to where ill be weekend getaway-ing to. My next getaway will be to Wellington it’s my favourite city in NZ and I love the shopping as it has loads of little boutique stores and vintage clothes dealers. There is also a place called Martha’s which does the best high tea. I can’t wait to go because I always feel so at home when I’m there and because my closet always gets a good restocking once I’m home :).
I too, would like to go to Quebec City but the plans never went through. Something always went wrong. I’d also love to go to snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef before it disappears completely.

My father had a heart attack in November and I have had to go through college applications and all that by myself for these past few months. He had a few setbacks and close calls but he is finally getting better and will be at home :D!

As of late I have been working seven days a week… so, for a change, I’m going to unplug the phone, leave my emails unchecked, and relax. I think I’ll indulge in a night out here in beautiful St. John’s — take in some art and music. A nice bubble bath, a glass of wine (or perhaps a mug of DAVIDsTEA?), some scented candles, and a copy of Sherlock Holmes will be waiting for me the next day as I soak away my troubles and gear up for the coming week.

My next weekend getaway will be in Holyrood, Newfoundland. I live 7 hours from home (St. John’s, Newfoundland) for school, so on the 16th I’m driving across the island to go home for mid-term break, but I’m meeting my boyfriend in Holyrood, which is about 45 minutes outside of St. John’s, at his family’s seaside cabin for a little belated valentine’s day evening in front of the fire place. I’m sure there will be a couple cups of tea had, followed by wine haha!

My next weekend getaway is up in Northern Ontario ! You’ll find me hiding in a cute cabin on a gorgeous lake. Only traffic coming through there is the wildlife all around! Nothing makes a winter cabin getaway better then a warm cup of DAVIDsTEA (classic or flavoured), sitting by the wood stove under a blanket. Tea and secluded locations are the perfect recipe for a relaxing weekend - especially when your everyday is constantly on the go!

Since I’m a student, I don’t have much money to spend on holidays, but my boyfriend and I are going to visit a couple of museums in Montreal, Quebec and head for a spa experience at Skyspa afterwards and we will stop at Juliette et Chocolat for a delicious hot chocolate. I won’t go to David’s tea since I already have tons of their teas, they’re awesome, but I can’t afford more for now, it’s a guilt-free special treat every few days. (I love desserts too but my waistline prbably would not agree so their teas are the best combo)
I love ducking into wine country with my sweetie & friends, we rent a cottage, eat good food & discover great wines. It’s always a trip to remember.

Wow!!!! Valentines Day!! Well, my husband and i with our princess and my little 17 months old are going to Sun-ridge ski. It’s like heaven at Sun-ridge. Small little hills covered with snow with small tree’s around them and clear sky makes it worth skiing. My little one will be running around everywhere, makes it even more fun. Spending time with my little one and hubby on side make the best valentines day ever!!!

This is almost a foreign term to me the last few years; with me working and my boyfriend going to university, we never seem to be able to get away. Good thing we discovered David’s Tea; so many options, and so relaxing to hold a cup of steamy tea at the end of a long day. :-]
We are hoping to get a chance to go to Drumheller or Calgary to visit family (we’re in Saskatoon, and we don’t see them as much as we’d like). Maybe in the summer when school lets up!

What’s a weekend getaway? - I’ll stay at home, snuggled under a blanket watching the snow come down.
Because I work most weekends a weekend gateaway is never in the agenda. Luckly I have managed to plan a little get away and will be jetsetting or rather jet-skiing, up to Northeren Toronto, Bobcageon. Considering my favourite song is named after the quant beautiful city I figured it was about time I saw the constellations shine one star at a time !!

We are going Snowshoeing and Igloo Building in Parry Sound! We are a blended family with 4 kids under the age of 7 (7, two 3 year olds and a 2 year old), plus 2 full time jobs and a dog. Cannot wait for some time alone enjoying the outdoors!
My next weekend getaway is to my family cottage at Seba Beach, Alberta. My family and I will snowshoe around the lake, maybe skate for a while, and end the day off with some tea around the fire.

I have no idea! My boyfriend told me last night I’ll be “far away” from home this weekend (Feb 15-17) and he’s not telling me a thing other than I have to get myself from my home to his (a little 3 hour drive through the Cdn prairies on Friday) and the rest I’ll learn when I get there. I’m treating myself the next weekend to a getaway in Toronto for a few days to accomplish a goal I set a year ago and am finally reaching - getting my first CrossFit certification!! My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to New York City! We’ve both never been and have always wanted to see the city. The past year has unfortunately brought some difficult times for us, and we haven’t been able to do anything for ourselves with unplanned career changes, surgeries for health problems, house repairs and more. We’ve decided that we need a get-a-way to recharge, start over, and energize ourselves! What better place than New York City! We’re saving up and hoping to go for his birthday weekend at the end April!
My next weekend getaway is to my home in Nova Scotia. Living in Toronto is great, but it’s time for a break from the lights and sounds. I can’t wait for the chance to get back to the country where I can curl up on my couch with a mug of my favorite Read My Lips tea and listen to the birds sing me good morning.

I moved east after living in Calgary for the last decade, and really need a good long weekend with my bestie girlfriends who I miss DEARLY!! To China! I’ve only gone back to visit my grandparents once, when I was ONE (which doesn’t count apparently) and both of my younger brothers have never been and also have never been on an airplane, so it’ll be quite a trip! My youngest brother also has Down Syndrome so it’ll be quite a flight to experience. Also super looking forward to finally climbing the Great Wall and just being a tourist for once. We’ve been pushing the trip later year after year and finally getting around to it this year.

My next weekend away will be in Seattle. I live close to the US border so it’s always nice to book a weekend away and enjoy all the shopping and dining that Seattle has to offer. It’s only a three hour drive and you feel like you’ve really had a chance to get away.
I would live to go to Florida. It’s always been on my bucket list of places to visit.

I’ll be spending my next getaway weekend in Gastown, Vancouver in my little exposed brick wall, heritage apartment hopefully i’ll burning a vanilla candle , rocking some neo-soul and sipping a glass of wine. there is one important detail that i forgot to mention, i live in this Gastown apartment 365 years a day, thanks to my new hectic schedule but i’ve been able to turn my own place into my getaway destination every weekend
