School+Style=???
Hello Darlings,
Do fashion and education go hand in hand? Probably not, but they definitely could and should. Being a university student, I face this dilemma everyday when getting ready in the morning: how can one be stylish and still not be perceived as “trying too hard”? My personal style is more of a preppy meets I-am-not-sure. Actually, I can never really define what+what=Marta’s style. Let’s just say I like feeling pulled-together and neat. Some may call it “high maintenance,” but I disagree, as it takes me only 30 minutes to get ready! The point is most of the time I get “high maintenance” or “trying too hard” or “this is university, why even bother dressing up” looks. Does it annoy me? Sure! Would I ever downplay my love for dressing up? Of course not!”

No pain, no gain…skin care!

It is time for skin care post, as I have received quite a few requests. I feel like I am going to totally disappoint with this one, only because I have zero tricks!
Like every other aspect of my life, I like to keep my skin care routine simple. Except for one HUGE exception, being my dermatologist! I love him, if I could, I would see him every day 
During my teen years I was genetically blessed with awesome pimple-free skin, believing that nature took mercy on me and skipped my turn. Well, not so true… It turns out that nature played a cruel joke on me and blessed me with zits at 20! I began seeing first signs of pimples as soon as I hit 20! Ooh that big 20 came with a zit! In complete shock, I right away went on a search for a good doctor. I pursued this hunt with the same amount of effort as I pursue my shopping, completely unwilling to fail. And I succeeded in finding the “magic cure”!!!
Sonia Rykiel pour H&M shopping…
Hello Darlings,
Yesterday was the release of Sonia Rykiel pour H&M and I was really excited. I am a huge fan of Rykiel! Knits and stripes are her specialty and my obsession, and this was the only H&M collaboration that I was excited for. I loved Sonia Rykiel pour H&M lingerie and was looking forward to picking up a few dresses. The designs are very beautiful and bright, they are truly a visual treat.
The moment I stepped into H&M yesterday morning at 11am, the entire collection was not available at the Yorkdale store but everything did look as beautiful as seen on the pictures. I grabbed a big chunk of the collection and headed to the changing room. With every try, I got more mop-y and disappointed....

Belated Valentine….
Hello Darlings,
Saint Valentine’s Day, although I do not love it nor hate it, I think that it is one day when you’re totally expected to be overtly cheesy. I do not like the idea of expecting grand romantic gestures from your sweetheart because that is what the rest of the world is doing. However, I do think that Valentine’s Day is awesome, as it presents an opportunity for couples to spend that extra time together and do something that is more “special”.
Romance…sure! But I still prefer the idea of fun over the idea of total lovey-dovey, overly-cheesy romance...
