Mint…

Hello Darlings,

Well, it has been a busy and fun weekend...just running quite a bit of errands and spending time with friends and loved ones.University and my 21st Birthday Vegas trip are just around the corner and I'm not ready for either...
Anyways, on to more important things such as clothing and shoes. I had a chance to wear my new Twenty8Twelve dress and Pedro Garcia shoes and I adore both of them. Although the dress is very risque short... it works perfectly with opaque tights/and probably a pair of super skinny jeans. It got very cold in Toronto over the past few days and starting to feel like fall.As for shoes, well they are perfection... comfortable and totally awesome :)

This dress is made of very beautiful silk in light mint-y color with pretty little circles...which are not very evident on the pictures, but I love how different it is in comparison to the rest of my closet. Plus, it's a perfect addition to my Vegas wardrobe. I love piece that can transition from warm to cold weather...

I am wearing: Twenty8Twelve Silk Dress; Cavin Klein Opaque Tights; Pedro Garcia Mary Jane's; Mackage Leane Leather Jacket

Speaking of Vegas, I am creating an inspiration post with different outfits to help me figure out what to bring...since I am not very familiar with the atmosphere there. I would really appreciate if you guys can make some suggestions as to what people wear to the swimming pool parties, lounges, night clubs, dinners and just strolling around. Thanks a million!

Well, I am off to watch True Blood with is re-playing on HBO... yup, I watch it twice in one night, it's my Sunday ritual.

I wish you all a lovely day!!!

The best ever….

Hello Darlings,

Even though it was pouring outside, nothing was going to ruin my cheerful mood. Instead I decided to put my best foot forward in my all-time favorite Kors booties and dress up.

I picked up this simple top from Aritzia about a week...I loved a fact that it is shorter in the front and longer in the back. I loved the simplicity and the interesting cut.
I am wearing: Wilfred Top; American Apparel Shiny Late Night Skirt; Michael Kors Booties; A.V.Max Cuff

I've always preferred simplicity, but now I am convinced that the more simple the things are, the better!!! ... simplicity really does go a long way ( well, at least for me)!

I would also like send out a big thank you to Antoine from florilège d'esthète...
for the lovely award and his beautiful words.... THANK YOU!!!!!

I wish you all a beautiful and sunny weekend!!!!

I got them about three years ago and still love them to death.Love love love! Because of these babies, I fell in love with Kors footwear...it's a love affair that lasted for over 3 years now and it's nowhere near to be done with :) They are my footsies perfect match....I could walk in his high heels for hours and not feel the slightest sign of discomfort.

Love you Mr. Kors!!!!

I am wearing: Twenty8 Twelve Tee; Talula Hoodie;Abercrombie&Fitch Cleo Shorts; Michael Kors Wedges; Regina Italia Handmade Leather Purse; A.V. Max Cuff.
After a day of working away from home in PJ's, Andrew and I went out to grab some deserts and espresso's an a near by bistro...just what I needed to unwind and relax. This week is quite busy with gallery runs, research, last minute shopping, and packing.... since my 21st Birthday is a week away and so is my Vegas celebration!!! YAY!

Obsessing Oxford….

Good Morning Darlings,

Well, it's official I am obsessed with flat oxfords... never expected this but I just can't get enough of them. They make every casual outfit look sooooo much cuter adding easy flare. It is definitely the most perfect shoe to take me back to university...ideal for campus life.
As for today, well a long day at an art gallery awaits me... I complete my internship this week and I have so much work to finish that it will definitely keep me on the run, which of course will require comfortable shoes. So, here's what I am stepping out in: simple and easy!

I am wearing: Mexx Top; French Connection Skirt;Candela Tokyo Oxford Flats; Regina Italia Handmade Leather Purse; American Apparel Shiny Headband in Metalli Silver; A.V. Max Cuff; Diamond and Platinum Studs.

Therefore, after receiving an e-mail from one of the lovely readers, I was more than excited to do my research on my new favorites and find a variety of styles and outfit options.

Personally, I believe that this shoe is a classic... because how can it not be? Men have been wearing them for ages, it is only a matter of feminizing them :P I think that they look best with simple outfits, nothing too complicated... since you want the shoe to be a statement. Simplicity is the key for me, well in every aspect of getting dressed.
For instance, Sienna Miller has been wearing these babies all over the world and really made this trend her own. I love her simple and easy approach, that is not overwhelming but perfectly feminine, delicate and casual.

"So, keeping in step with the men's shoe-inspired look", I've selected some of my favorites!

♥Classic

If I was to "invest" in another pair it would definitely be simple, black, patent leather shoe.... classic but with a touch of interest!
I settled for a fun shoe. They really do make every outfit come alive and with my simple wardrobe-it works out perfectly.

I think that this style is perfect for summer time... clean and simple.

Chronicles of Never Mono in White ( USD 160); Pedro Garcia Alanis Jazz Shoes ( on sale for USD 127.50); Church's Classic Burwood Brogues ( USD470); Topshop Leather Lace-up in off white (USD 100)

With so many choices, there's a shoe to meet everyone's needs... it is just matter of finding one that fits your style. However there a few rules that one should keep in mind when wearing them, courtesy of some of Vogue’s flats aficionados: ( style.com)

♥ “Putting flat lace-ups with a wide-leg trouser or jean is a very dated way to wear them,” says Jane Herman, Fashion Writer. “Instead, try a cropped pant.”

♥ “This should not be a Wall Street look,” states Filipa Fino, Senior Accessories Editor. “Let the men wear them with suits. Women should wear them with feminine pieces.”

♥ “Don’t match the colors of your shoe to your outfit,” suggests Izzie Burch, Fashion Assistant. “These are playful—do the unexpected.”

♥ “Avoid socks!” says Jill Demling, Entertainment Editor. “That’s my only rule!”

Well,I am one foot out of the door :)

I wish you all a wonderful Monday!

With Love...

Underneath it all…

Hello Darlings,

" From lacy bralettes at Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton to molded corsets at Fendi and Hussein Chalayan, all eyes were on the bust for Fall. That is, when they weren't on the legs or the midriff. YSL's Stefano Pilati channeled Elsa Peretti as a Playboy bunny with a leather one-piece that bared his model's gams, while Roberto Cavalli and Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci played a game of now-you-see-it, now-you-don't peekaboo. Showing a touch of skin in subtle sexy boudoir style is what this fall is all about. "( style.com)
Think about Christian Dior Couture Fall 09 show... hello, gorgeous!
"Galliano said he'd been inspired by behind-the-scenes documentary photographs taken more than half a century ago as Monsieur Dior dressed his cabine of mannequins for shows. The conceit of half-dressed models informed the collection, so that hip-emphasizing basques, girdles, lace-edged slips, and petticoats were hybridized into brightly colored variations on the classic wasp-waisted silhouette of Dior's New Look."(style.com)

I am loving this return to classic femininity, where woman's classic silhouette is updated in modern styles. I find this to be a very refreshing step away from the oh-so-popular grungy look and back into the direction of effortless elegance and grace.

As I am absolutely in love with this sensual trend, I could not wait to wear my corset tee out... and the occasion had finally presented itself :) I was going for a more casual look and therefore paired it with my favorite shorts. A final touch were my Kors booties to keep my footsies dry in the rain.

I am wearing: Wilfred Bustier Tank; Talula Shorts; Michael Kors Booties; Mackage Leane Leather Jacket;Gold and Platinum Necklace; Diamond and Gold earnings.
I am so in love with this simple tee... which is made of pima cotton and contains none of that bustier wiring, therefore resulting it maximum amount of comfort. I am considering picking it up in black and baby blue... hopefully they still have my sizes :)

Honestly, I've been shopping in Aritzia quite a bit lately... they have some of the cutest basics with a modern twist. Love it :)

♥This week has been incredibly special.... my bestie came back from living and studying in France for a year.... WELCOME BACK, HUN!

♥Today is a very big day for Andrew as well.... GOOD LUCK, baby!

♥And most important, Today is my mommy's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!!!! I love you so much :)

I wish you all a beautiful Friday!!!!

The Age of Innocence…

Hello Darlings,

Some days are just filled with activities that one truly loves, such as shopping, reading and swimming. Today was one of those days for me!!!
After finally having the time to finishing Edith Wharton's The Age of Innocence and taking few minutes to skim through the book and write out my favorite quotes - yup, I have a journal where I write down all of my favorite quotes - I went on to start Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise.

As for my thoughts on The Age of Innocence.....

Well, I simply loved it. However I love every classic that I read. I have a strong belief that classic literature can never be bad because it withstood the test of time. The Age of Innocence is the first novel by a woman to win the Pulitzer Prize, it exquisitely details the struggle between love and responsibility through the experiences of men and women in Gilded Age New York. Wharton's profound understanding of her character's lives makes the triangle of Archer, May and Ellen come to life with an irresistible urgency. A wry, incisive look at the ways in which love and emotion must negotiate the complex rules of high society. The book is wonderful read that provides a unique sense of the past society that shaped the famous New York city.
Speaking of of The Age of Innocence, I came across this quote that I found to be very amusing....

"Ah, well, Boston is more conservative than New York; but I always think it's safe rule for a lady to lay aside her French dresses for one season."
- Edith Wharton

It's amazing how quickly the times change, it was unfit for a lady to wear a new dress for at least a year, however now we wear things right of the racks and purchase our winter stuff in the summer and our summer stuff in the winter. Our times have become so rapid that the seasons no longer play any importance as the designers are producing their winter and resort collection in the spring/summer of the previous year. Everything nowadays is in such a rush. Everything is becoming like a fast food market - easy, fast and ready to go in 5 minutes! Is our world becoming too fast that even we can't catch up with it? Sometimes that's what it feels like...

As I went out to pick up few things for my Vegas Birthday weekend,I couldn't help but be frustrated at all of the boots and jackets that I came across. It is high 20s outside and I can't help but think of winter clothes... honestly, I even heard two women discussing their X-mas list. I mean come on, Christmas? This is becoming too depressing....it feels like everyone if getting too ahead of themselves. Can't we just relax, breathe and take 5 minute to just be?

Personally, I am one of those people that can find peace and calm in the middle of the of chaos. That perfect calm moment usually happens over a cup of espresso and a book...sometimes taking those minutes is all you need. When shopping with my mommy , we take 5 minutes to stop by Godiva and pick up Dark Chocolate Decadence-it became a tradition. Those 5 minutes is all you need to restart and reboot, and of course satisfy the sweet-tooth.

Speaking of winter and fall... I have found the most perfect pair of flat Kors boots, they are sooo awesome :) Totally excited about them! I know, I know.... I am getting ahead of myself, but I just couldn't pass by them when they were on a 65% off sale and I wanted them since last winter but couldn't justify spending $500 on a 5th pair of boots for that year. So I got them for this year... with a much better deal :)

I am wearing: dvb skinny flare jeans; E community top from Aritzia; Kimberly Baker Dove Necklace; Accessories& Beyond Bracellets in Gold; Michael Kors Heels; Gustto Cokera Purse; Chanel Sunglasses.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Also, I am sooooo excited to share with you this Elle Canada Street Fashion feature that I was included in ....Check it out!!!! Click on the picture...

Thank you so much!!!! It is such a pleasure to be included amongst so many talented and wonderful Canadian bloggers :)

P.S. Please forgive me for slow responses, my internship is coming to an end and I have so much work to finish.... But I promise to get back as soon as I can. Kisses for your support!

I wish you all a beautiful day!!!!

With Love...
