Highlighter…

Hello Lovelies,

( Degas, The Dance Class at Opera,1872)

Well, my highlighter bright ballerinas have arrived and I am gaga head-over-heels in love with them. Typically for someone who avoids loud colors, this is quite a bold change. They are perfect...

I'm not sure why I've been obsessively buying ballerinas... maybe because after so many years spent dancing ballet, they feel natural to me. I love the way they make me feel - they remind me of my dancing years and in that moment I feel like a little girl wanting to be a ballerina all over again. All I need is a tutu and I'm ready for the Swam Lake, lol.

To some flats ruin the outfit, to others they are just dull, but to me they are irresistibly adorable and chic. I love wearing them during the warmer seasons, usually instead of sandals.

How do you feel about ballerinas ( by that I mean shoes, lol)??? Love/Hate them?

As for today's outfit that I wore to dinner with Andrew...

Well it was definitely stepping outside my comfort zone. At least in terms of color. A bright top and a loud shoe... that for me is quite something.

Ooh, I also paid a visit to my hairdresser for my monthly trim and some lowlights...I added a bit of golden tone but nothing too drastic. I am totally paranoid not to ruin my hair by coloring it, so I stay away. Today I decided to wear it naturally, which is wavy and big, lol.
Sometimes it is so difficult trying to decide to wavy or straight.

Products of the Moment

Also, I want to mention a few awesome products that I've been using and totally loving.

♥ It is absolutely amazing.
♥ Not only does it contain SPF but it prevents my face from getting oily throughout the day.
♥ Before this I used Smashbox or Chanel Primer, but I love this soooo much more and it is much cheaper.
♥ I am not a big fan of MAC but I really do love this product.
Kiehl's Sodium PCA "Oil-Free"Moisturizer.
♥Perfect for the summer time.
♥Not as oily as the Ultra Facial Moisturizer, but still very moisturizing.
♥Worth a try if your skin is more oily in the summer.

I would like to send out a huge thanks to everyone. I apologize for taking so long to respond,I am bombarded with exams. I am trying to post regularly and promise to get back to each and everyone as soon as I can.

I can't wait to be done... but it seems like it will never happen. Slowly my positivity is fading.

I wish you all a beautiful day!!!!

With Love...

Raining Luggage… :P

Hello Darlings,
During today's rainy day, I devoted some time to studying as well as to searching for a luggage bag.

To go shopping, I wore my all time favorite Kors duck boots- I wear them every chance I get. Paired with slightly sheer tights (in the sea of tights, I couldn't find an opaque pair that wasn't ripper-i should clean out my tights drawer, lol), a tee dress and my favorite blazer.

I love the bow accent on the dress.... I have this reallllly big obsession with bows, they are tooo cute!!!!

I am wearing: French Connection Tee Dress; Tulula Babaton Wool Blazer; Calvin Klien Tights; Michael Kors Duck Boots; diamond studs; 14K gold Diamond ring courtesy Ice.com

Luggage

For travel, I've always used a regular upright valise but I hate how wrinkled and disorganized everything was. This time around, I decided to try something new - a wheeled garment bag.

I'm not sure how much clothe will fit. But I've always believed that the more organized the bag, the more will fit in. So this is something that I will have to try for myself. I also picked up a regular valise to pack presents, books and other miscellaneous stuff.
Garment Bag Includes:
♥ double detachable hanger hooks allow bag to hang when open. So it's like an unfold closet, you don't even have to unpack.
♥ door opening panel. The panel of the left goes over the right and zips in for extra protection.
♥ universal hanger brackets lock hangers in place and accept most hangers.
The concept of this bag is very interesting but will it actually live up to my expectations that we will have to see when I begin to pack for my Wednesday flight. I don't want to take too much stuff, but it is a 3 week vacation including a 12hour flight.
Do you guys have any packing suggestions? What are your vacation essentials? What do you take in your carry on?

Any advice is be helpful :) Thank you so much...

I wish you all a lovely day!!!
With Love...
Marta

A quick getaway for two…

Hello Darlings,

I just came back from a weekend at the Niagara Falls...it was a much needed getaway for Andrew and I to just relax and enjoy each others company.

There are times when a quick escape nearby can be more relaxing than a huge vacation and this was one of those cases. We chose to stay at the 80 years old Crowne Plaza (1927), not only because I was fascinated with the history and its unique architecture but also because Marilyn Monroe stayed there when filming "Niagara"in 1952. I am not a big fan of generic modern day hotels, only because they don't feel cozy. I love the idea of staying at a place that was history behind its open doors.

The Fall is the most mesmerizing thing ever...it is stunning but the power of it scares me at times.

The surrounding areas have some of the most beautiful landscape architecture, the entire area is simply picturesque( rugged but perfectly beautiful). During the day it is fun just to grab Starbucks some chocolate fudge and wander around for hours. To wonder around I wore my favorite jumpsuit and flats....super comfy!

I am wearing: Necessary Objects cotton jumpsuit; Juicy Couture Ballerinas; A & F Sweater.

As for the night, we went out for dinner at the Keg (on the 9th floor of Embassy Suites Hotel)... the views are fantastic and so is the food. As for the rest of the night, we had some fun at Fallsview casino.

As for my night out outfit, well I wore mostly black with a sequins top. But the most exciting part was the shoes... I finally had a chance to wear them out. I love them to death.

I am wearing: Alice+Olivia Sequins top; J Brand 12" leg in jett; Mackage Leane Leather Jacket; Michael Kors Heels; Coach Patent Leather Wristlet.

Seriously, I think I love Andrew's shoes as much as I love mine...Luckily, he's got awesome taste in fashion... :)

Everyone deserves a break once in a while...and this is exactly what we needed.

As for now, I have to go study since I still have two exams and lots of errands to run :)

I wish you all a lovely Sunday!!!

EXCITEMENT!!!

Hello Darlings,

Well, today is one hell of an exciting day....

Today, I found out that I got an internship with an art gallery director. I was so nervous but hopeful when I first applied. Right now, I am overwhelmed with excitement!!!! I am on cloud nine!!!! In the future it is my dream to be an art gallery director and having this experience is definitely a step closer in that direction.

The second exciting thing today is this baby I just picked up....

I am really excited about this stunning Gustto Cokera Chain Bag....
The moment I saw that bow, I fell in love. I adore how girly it is, but with an edge. The best part of this bag is the gold tone chain which acts as another handle. Or it can be worn on the outside. How awesome and creative is that...
What do you think? Do you like it or hate it?
I picked it up at Revolve on a crazy 50% off sale. I was their devoted customer for more than a year (until March) and decided to give it another try. Although the past is still in the back of my head, I am hoping that there have been improvements made. I did have a word with their manager who assured me that customer needs is their number one priority. Plus, I must admit that not very many sites can beat Revolve Clothing sales... :)

As my bag is safely on its way... it is just a matter of time before it arrives, hope it is before I leave for Ukraine. Can't wait to see it and share it with you!!!

P.S. Well, now that this excitement is almost out of my system it is time for me to go back to studying. Exams start next week and I have to hand in my research :)

I wish you all a lovely day !!!!!

Date Night..

Hello Darlings,
After my date with books, I had a real date with Andrew. Yup, after two and half years we still go on dates :) Since we are not the couple to stay in, we are always exploring our city and the many cozy restaurants that it has to offer.

Plus, it is always fun to dress up....

Dress Up

I picked up this dress for New Years in Cancun and haven't worn since. Until, today. I love how form fitting it is and the convenient pockets.

I also just picked up this Ed Hardy scarf. Although I am not a big fan of this Ed Hardy tee wearing obsession amongst younger crowd( especially men), I really do love the colors of the scarf. The light cotton fabrics makes it a perfect substitute for those days when it is too hot to wear a cashmere scarf.

I do like a tattoo effect in moderation, however I really love it on bathing suits, like the one I got for Cancun. I've always been a huge fan of tattoos and want one for myself, but too scared. However if I was to take that chance I would get a tiny bow on the back of my neck... For now, it is just a wish and reality is far from reach!!!

I am wearing: French Connection Cotton Dress with pockets; Mackage Leane Leather Jacket; Ed Hardy Limited Edition Scarf; Michael Kors Booties; A.V. Max Cuff.

Well, off I go to it is time for some ZZZZzzzzzz.....

Nighty Night Everyone!!!!

With Love...

Because I want to be a princess…

Hello Darlings,

As I was online shopping today... I came to realize this.

Every girl has a little princess deep inside of her...but mine is pretty bossy. It is a voice inside my head that demands anything and everything that is cute, pretty and totally adorable. I can't control it.Pink, ruffles, bows, tutus, ballerinas, hearts, pastel colors - basically, little princess style. This might explain my complete and total obsession with Juicy Couture and if I didn't have any self restraint I think that I would be a living Elle Woods from Legally Blonde.

I am not complaining about my inner bossy princess actually I've come to embrace her and integrate my cutesy, princess-y, adorable obsession into my so called "grown up" wardrobe.

Princess Inspiration
♥ When speaking of princess look, I am not talking about pink prom like dresses that are crazy frilly with a tiara and a magic wand... No, no, no!!!

I am talking about the girly, princessy details...that give a hip, chic, and simple outfit that girly princess touch.

♥ Princess look #1: from her pretty silk heels, to her flowy skirt, to her neat little jacket, down to her petite little frame and cute haircut.

♥Princess look #2: simple and totally princess.... the cute flats, the adorable tutu-like skirt, and of course that awesome pink clutch.

♥ Princess look #3: The adorable details of her outfit just scream I am a princess... her pony tail with an adorable hairpiece, her coat with tiny little buttons, and the precious collar.

♥Princess look #4: She is princess in pink with ruffles.

♥ Princess look #5: Although she has an edgy look, her pleated pretty skirt gives away her inner princess and not to forget her bun/ or pulled back hair.

Princess Wish List.

The inner princess and myself want these.

Today's online rendezvous led to the purchase to these princessy items:

♥Juicy Couture Terry Laptop Sleeve

I couldn't resist. It is very useful and adorable at the same time.

♥ Pretty Ballerinas Rita Flats

The color is so unusual and bright - perfect for the summer.

I am so excited, can't wait for them to arrive. I really hope that both come before my vacation.

As for now, I am off to perform my royal duty..... STUDYING!!!

I wish you all a beautiful day!!!

With Love...

Marta

+20

Hello Darlings,

I am happy to report that Spring has finally arrived to Toronto - it was +20. YAY!!!

I was so thrilled to have a chance to break out my summer shoes and wardrobe ( luckily, I did my pedi a day before)....Here's what I wore to run a few errands and catch up on some shopping. It is my Easter this weekend and with all the studying, church going, and family... I am a busy bee.

I finally had a chance to wear my new Notify jeans and words cannot describe how perfect they are. Seriously, Notify jeans are A-m-a-z-i-n-g !!!

Many of you know how much I love trousers and fell in love with these babies the moment I saw them...

I also broke out of my darker colors to embrace pretty lights :) ... I felt so breezy (lol) and to complete the look I added a braid.Seriously, I adore french braids... I've loved them since I was a little kid, can't get enough of them.

I am wearing: A&F Ava Top; A&F sweater; Notify Jeans; Regina Italia Handmade Leather Purse;Michael Kors Oxfords; A.V.Max Cuff; diamond studs.
Finally, I think that I am a breaking every " fashionista rule" ( lol, i love that "term") by getting so much Abercrombie & Fitch. I just can't help myself, some of their stuff is so cute... I hate everything that the brand stands for, but I do think that some of their stuff is perfect for the summer time. I am not one of those people that will or will not buy something because of the brand or designer... If I love it then I'll buy it.

Special Note,

I would like to send out my sincerest apologies for not replying/responding right away. I am so thankful for your support and would like to send out a huge thank you to every single one of you.
You guys are the greatest !!!

I wish you all a stunning weekend :)

With Love...
Marta
