Secret Obsession…
In advance I would like to apologize for no outfit post...I am actually staying in tonight.
I can't remember the last time that I stayed in on Saturday ... this Andy Warhol essay is torturing me. I think I just came to realize how complicated he and his work is ....
I decided to make this post on one of my secret obsessions.... I love patent leather! I am not sure what it is about it but I just think that it makes everything much more sexy... but then again, it might be just me.... WHAT DO YOU THINK, Love Patent Leather or Hate it?
I spotted patent leather all over the Fall runways ....
Since I've stayed inside all day long ... I decided to take my mind of things by indulging in a quicky shopping browse at Revolve Clothing ... whose having a crazy SALE!!!
For relaxing and stress relieving purposes I was browsing Revolve Clothing and came across a pair of really wicked
I've been eying these babies for a while now but when then went on 50% off sale ... I had to excuse but to buy them and I also picked up there gold plated elastic bracelets, they are just soo cute...
I really love a fact that the boots have a hidden 3 inch wedge... I am so excited to receive them! Can't wait to share with you
I also wanted to mention Twilight... because of your lovely and encouraging comments I decided to give Twilight Saga a chance... I am really excited to start reading the first book on December 15 ( last day of my exams)... If I like the book ( which I am sure that I will) then I intend on reading the other three during the X-mas break!!!!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments....I would especially like to thank anonymous readers... although I answer all of the anonymous comments... I still would like to say THANKS
Marta
Twilight ….
Hello Darlings,
I apologize for such a delay with posts... I am once again bombarded with school work, since the first semester is done in three weeks.Anyways, lol....
This weekend I had a chance to see Twilight...and although I have never read the book, I LOVED IT... maybe because I developed a bit of a crush on the main actor, Robert Pattinson... hehe.
I am now looking into reading all of the books... but since I usually read only classics, I am a bit hesitant.... WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT OR NOT?

I am wearing:
M. Rena Wool Sweater from Mendocino
Abercrombie&Fitch Grey Skinnies
Gap organic cotton tee
Royal Rossi Pink Cashmere Scarf - a gift from mommy
Swarovski Love Charm - a gift from Andrew
Juicy Couture Flats with pom poms

I am currently writting an essay on Andy Warhol ... and totally loved the covers on the
books.
Beauty and Health ….
Hello Darlings...
Can't Live Without...
( Literally.... P.S. click on the pics on buy)

Rosebud Salve
I mentioned that I will post some of my " beauty and diet secrets", so here are my can't life without suggestions that I strongly stand by a
- If I was stranded on a deserted island...this would be my only product.
- I use it for everything.
- It is always in my bag, next to my bed,and in my bathroom.
- One word: BUY IT.
Kerastase Masque Nutri-Defense and BedHead Tigi HeadRush

- I use the Kerastase Masque once a week to repair my hair damage. It is a bit expensive and hard to find, but it really is magic. ( click on the photo to order the Kerastase in Canada and US)
- Bedhead Shine Mist is lightweight and makes my hair really shiny and frizz free .
Tea and Ice Cubes
- I hate drinking water, so instead I drink peach green, raspberry or Moroccan tea about 4-5 cups a day. And of course, I drink espresso but only when I feel tired- otherwise I try to stay away.
- Every morning and nights, I use chamomile ice cubes instead of a toner.
- Chamomile is very gentle skin tonic to replenish and enrich dry or sensitive skin. TRY IT.
Smelling great and feeling fresh is of course the most important thing. Therefore, I can't live without my Clarins antiperspirant ( I've been using it for years) it really does keep you dry and fresh all day long. As for my perfume, Coco Mademoiselle is my all time favorite.
Exercise: Ballet Stretches and Rock climbing

- I still do the same stretches I did when I danced ballet, and if you're new to it: Check Out this book " NYC Ballet Workout" by Peter Martins ( click). This book is very good and covers all of the areas... I definately recommend it.
- Rock climbing is my hobby and it gives me pretty good exercise.
- On the side note, I hate gyms... and don't exercise on regular bases, but I do stay active by stretching couple times a week, rock climb on weekly bases, walk by dog, as well as ski with my dad in the winter, and rollerblade in the summer.
Food and Vitamins
- I don't believe in diets or saying NO to yourself in terms of food, but what's important is proportion. Everything can you consumer needs to be in balance proportion.
- I am take multivitamins and Omega 3,6,9 Supplements.
My Everyday Essentials....
Philosophy Hope in a Tube Eye & Lip Cream
- A set of Squirrel Hair Brushes ( my mom got them): it is really important to a set of good brushes
Tweezeman Classic Lash Curler
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer - really awesome stuff
Chanel Tein Innocence - for those bad days, or spot cove up.
Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzer - gives the most natural glow ever. I LOVE IT.
Dior Diorshow Powder in Catwalk Pink - I use it instead of a blush .It is a big hard to apply, takes some getting used to.
Chanel Les 4 Ombre de Chanel in Stage Lights - I use lighter colors for day and add darker for night.
Dior Diorshow Iconic Mascara - I like it, but when it is closer to being done it tends to dry up really quick. I'm looking for a new mascara with a smaller brush.
Yves Saint Laurent Far a Levres Rouge Pur in Pink Satin ( 141) - I love this color.
Dior Kiss Luscious Llip plumping Gloss in Berry Smootie - when I feel extra girly,I usually prefer matte finish instead of shiny.
OPI nail lacquer in We'll Always Have Paris
OPI nail lacquer in Heart Throbe - for everyday
OPI nail lacquer, Nicole collection in City Pretty Rose - usually for summer
Sally Hansen Extra Moisturizing 4-1 Treatment - I love this stuff.
On my TO BUY list...

Chanel Poudre Douce: SoftPressed Powder - for light coverage
YSL Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils
Shu Eumura 24k Gold Eyelash Curler - I hear that it is the best, but I do think that it is a bit pricey. Is it worth it?
I also need a good hand cream - ANY SUGGESTION.

I was also looking into transfering to Kiehl's for change.... What do you think IS IT WORTH A TRY?Any Suggestion...
I had a lot of fun doing this... I hope you guys like it.
Do you have any "beauty or diet secrets",products that you can't live without or that you just totally hate.... PLEASE DO SHARE, I Really would love to find out

New Stripes, Colors, and Cuts….
Hello Darlings,
CHECK OUT this video... it is wicked
Speaking of Rykiel, the beloved Parisian designer's retrospective of the work is presented in the Paris' Les Arts Decoratifs, opening today (19th) - the exhibit is features 200 looks, including the works from this this seasons 40th anniversary show.
Although horizontal stripes can be a little frightening to wear,I like to believe that anyone can wear them as long as they fall in the right places....and being a little inspired to Rykiel I set out to kind a perfect pull over with stripes.... and TATA:
OOOHH YEA.... Well this is my " new hair"- after three and a half hours( i hate sitting...I get to impatient) in my lovely dressers chair and four colors later.... TATA. I went two shader darker with highlights/lowlights.... Yup, I've never completely colored my hair, but instead get 3-4 colors of high/lowlights....and the length is almost the same.... Since as I've mentioned before I am growing it out another 5 inches... and I'll see what to do than... hehe
I am wearing:
Autumn Cashmere Rugby Stripe Cashmere Sweater
Juicy Couture Italian Leather Boots
Regina Italia Handmade Italian Leather Bag in Purple

I love the fuzzy and comfy feel of cashmere.... especially on cold winter days.
AS FOR YOU- KICK BACK AND RELAX
I WISH YOU ALL A BEAUTIFUL DAY
Marta
Emotion at its best … :)
Ballet has been a part of my life since childhood...I've had the privilege to be trained in it for years and it has always been a passion of mine that cannot be explained but only experienced. The appreciation that I have for it also cannot be explained but the pleasure and joy that it brings me is something that cannot be denied. Although I haven't had my foot is a ballet pointe' in years... it is still very much a part of my life....but only from the audience seat...
Finally, the 2008/2009 National Ballet of Canada season has arrived ... YAY!!!First of them being the " Seagull" ( that I went to see this Saturday) - conceived by the world acclaimed choreographer, John Neumeier and is based on the Anton Chekhov's play. The entire work was like a choreographed poem with a theatrical experience. Although it was slightly tragic, it explored human emotion in ways that I've never seen in ballet .... It was fantastic.
I am lucky enough, to have a boyfriend who not only supports my passion but also appreciates and enjoys it as much as I do... It is always him, who surprises me with tickets to every production... and all I can say is Thank you
Speaking of little dresses....PersonalShopper ( click to check it out) did made at interesting post with quotes from different bloggers on what the LBD means or represents to them? Including myself...
Here's my quote:
To me LBD is THE most important article of clothing in my wardrobe ... I believe that every woman needs to own that perfect little dress that will make her feel on top of the world. Therefore, I don't think that it's about the dress but how it makes you feel ... The perfect one can make a girl sparkle a little brighter !!! "
Nicole Miller Bubble Dress
CeCe Cashmere Cardigan
Givenchy Floral Pantyhose
Michael Kors Booties ( boy, do I love these babies)
Ragina Italia Handmade Leather Bag
Raymond Weil Diamond/Gold Watch
A.V. Max Gold Studded Cuff
Gold/Platinum Necklace
I also had a chance to indulge in a bit of shopping... and picked up this beutiful Handmade Genuite Italian Leather bag from Regina Italia and a pair of matching plum cashmere gloves from Portolano... and a pair of Juicy Couture flats - I just really love Juicy. I can't help myself, it's soo darn cute... lol. I can't wait to share it with you ...
OOh yea.. and tomorrow, I have my hair appointment. Although I never do anything exciting, I just get highlight to bring out my natural hair color and layers...but I am actually growing my hair out even more... What do you guys think, good or bad idea ?
But I will definately post photos....
Thank you so much for your comments and questions... I love getting them and of course love share with you my ideas/thoughts/suggestions... I really am open to any questions or suggestions that you may have ...
PRETTY PLEASE
I hope you all had a beautiful weekend....
