Birthday Girl …. and Project Self :)

Hello Lovelies,

Photobucket
More Shopping ....
Today was another day spent shopping ... since I'm going back to university on September 8... YAY!!! I'm totally looking forward.... Anyways, I think I'm finally "wardrobe -ready" ( great, I'm making up words now) after purchasing more jeans, tees and make up.... and you know what bugs me the most .... make-up limited edition.... I bought Chanel bronzer and Lancome lip gloss this spring and now it's a gone .... I think that limited editions should be available for special order ... I mean a girl finds a perfect shade of pinky lip gloss and now it's gone, so I had to stick with Dior ....Another thing that bugs me is shopping for Contact Lenses.

Me = Blind
Here's the deal I am pretty blind ... maybe a little exaggerating but my visions is pretty bad. I've had bad vision for about ten years now and for eight of them... I've only been wearing contacts (I swear) .... It just, I really do not like wearing glasses ... and I don't even own a pair... and for now I refuse to get them. I wear my contacts from morning to evening...therefore, I change them often which means I buy tons of them ...... and I've tried them all, lol.... However, my favorite ones are from Acuvue preferably Acuvue Oasys... however, I hate going to the doctor etc etc etc.... and I will confess that I have bought my contact on line before... and totally loved it .... So, if you wear contacts.... check out this sight that offer discount contacts, they have some of the best offers out there ...It is easy and quick - for me that is essential ... and I have actually purchased from one of the sites before ( no joke).

Outfit

Anyways, now on to my outfit:
I have finally received my new babies from Minnetonka and I can't stop wearing them, haha ....

Project Self

I left the best for last .... hehe

So I was really excited to be tagged by one of my fav.bloggers Ashleigh from Rantings of a Fashion Addict (DON'T Forget to check out her blog), who is not only a fellow Canadian but also a school buddy ( yep, we go to the same uni. ... this world really is a tiny place) and a total knock-out. Not only is she sweet and down-to-earth, but also has a killer sense of style... Her ability to pair designer with vintage/thrifted items is a quality I will always be secretly jealous off, lol.... yep, I confess to it.... and she's never afraid to take a chance when it comes to fashion .... and I check back everyday to find some inspiration from this " fashion addict".... :)

Now the rules .....
- State 8 things you like about yourself, 3 things you dislike, and 5 things that you have previously disliked but have learned to love.
- You ( the tagged blogger) must state something you love about both the person tagging you as well as the individual you tag.
- Post a picture that displays at least one of the things you love or dislike about yourself. This is in response to some of the hate and negativity that we have seen popping up in comments all over the place. Constructive criticism is fine but when you personally stab at someone(i.e. about their weight) that's just plain mean.

Eight Things I Love about Myself

  • My ability to stay true to myself ...I don't fall under peer pressure or have the need to fit in; I believe in surrounding myself by people who will accept me for who I am.
  • My Ambition ....I work hard to achieve what I want.
  • My Priorities ....I have my priorities straight.
  • A fact that I am not emotion but rational.... well, on most situations.
  • A fact that I am an only child .... I love it, I know I'm selfish,lol :p
  • A fact that I am a bookworm .... I LOVE reading.
  • I love my eyes ... they are a copy of my mom's eyes - green and almond shaped.
  • I love my legs .... I don't like admitting it, but it is true.
Three Dislikes

  • Being a perfectionist .... well, that's self-explanatory.

Being a complete control freak ... I plan everything, lol

  • Always being late... I am always in a rush (which results in speeding tickets, lol)
Five Dislikes that I have Embraced

  • My weight .... I am naturally really skinny and used to be called names ( in elementary school) ... Right now, I weight 98 pounds and love that I can pig out every day,lol :P ... but it continues to be a love/hate relationship.
  • I have really bad vision ( -5.75) ... I only wear contacts and plan on getting a surgery ( but too scared for now).
  • I am picky ... I just can't help it, but leaned to control it.
  • My Wavy hair ... I have wavy hair that sometimes complicates my life, but my perfect hairdresser fixed the problem.
  • My Appearance .... I used to be self-conscious but now I just love myself for who I am ... and would not change a simple thing about myself :)

For my photo .... I decide to chose a photo of myself. It represents all of the things that I wrote above.

I now pass the torch to Couture Carrie, who not only shares my love for fashion, but also my passion for fine art and architecture... She inspires me with her daily fashion undated and stunning photos and I look forward to each and every post :) ... Her eye and taste for fashion is truly impeccable .... oooh yea, and did I mention that she got me addicted to J Brand Jeans and today I purchased my second pair ( in a month).
P.S. I'm going away the cottage for the weekend and it's my 20th Birthday this MONDAY .... YAY !!! .... I apologize for not responding quickly enough.... but I promise I will on Tuesday as well as do a Birthday POST :D

I WISH YOU ALL A WONDERFUL WEEKEND

WITH LOVE ....

Overwhelmed with excitement …. :)

Hey Everyone,

Photobucket
*wink wink*

Today has been a really exciting day for me, not because I received my package from Active Endevors ( a week before my b-day) or got my hair done ( at my fav. hairdressers), but because of a pleasant surprise I had waiting for me in my mail box.Today, I received at e-mail from the author of my favorite book, Leonardo's Swans, Karen Essex... and boy, was I excited ( I even jumped around my room *blush blush*) I mean, how often do you receive " thanks for reading my book " and a quick hello from an author? Not only is she an award-winning journalist,a screen writer, and the author of two acclaimed biographical novels, Kleopatra and Pharaoh, but is also a fashion lover, who " never felt the need to look like a frumpy writer" and who views fashion " as theater, just another art form to enjoy."

I've been completely fascinated with the story she presented in Leonardo's Swans that I've spent my free time researching about Isabella and Beatrice d'Este. I am extremely excited to start reading Stealing Athena which also focuses on art and architecture ..... Check this out:

I would like to thank Karen Essex for dedicating her time to writing such a wonderful book that truly does demonstrate as well as expose the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci as well as for leaving me a quick hello ... Thank you :)

As for today's outfit... I decided to wear my new shirt from Totem.

Photobucket

I've never owned any article of clothing in such bright colors before, however, once I saw it ... I had to have it,
I love the colors :)

Photobucket
I am wearing:
- Totem Shirt
- J Brand Skinnies
- Talula High Waisted Short
- Soia&Kyo Charlie Coat in White
- Gap Leather Purse

Another one of my current obsession is the jazz lace-up shoes which according to Vogue is the new ballet flat - Kate Moss, Mirabelle Marden, and Natalia Vodianova are just few trend setters steeping softly these days.

You can purchase these babies from Net-a-porter at as "little as" $490.

Playing Daisy Duke … :P

I was really upset with the ruined dress, not because it was expensive but because I got it on a crazy sale ....anyways, the dry cleaners paid for the dress and other expenses. To cheer me up, my mommy took me shopping on Wednesday and I ended up finding the most perfect booties from the most perfect designer and my personal favorite Michael Kors :P ... But nothing makes me happier than buying new make up, and the Chanel fall collection is stunning and of course I could not resist ... outch, lol .... My parents are the greatest :) ... Right now, I am looking forward to going to the Royal Ontario Museum and catching up on their latest exhibitions... can't wait to share with you.

I am wearing:
- Michael Kors Ankle Boots
- Whitley Silk Shirt/Dress

When it comes to showing off a little leg, the staple found in P.E. class can be just as sexy as the miniskirt. The beauty of shorts is their versatile nature : Slip into a sneaker and head off to run some errands. Or... wear a heel, and you're evening - ready... As for me, it was all about black ankle boots with a retro-looking tee.

The Secrets of Hermes

Hey Everyone,

Check this out ....

Making the Bag

As you may already know, the company was founded by Frenchman Thierry Hermes in 1837 and it specialized in saddles and leather goods.

First called the Haut a Courroie, what's now known as the Kelly was launched in the 1930s. But when Grace Kelly used it to hide her pregnant belly from an intruding Life Magazine photographer in 1956, the bag got its name and its fame.

Tragic Story …. and Dirty Dancing

Hey Everyone :)

Remember this dress ?

Well it's a shirt now....

Basically, this is what happened .... I ordered this dress with intentions of wearing it on my Birthday which is on September 1. ( yep, a week from now) I received this dress about two weeks ago and it turned out to be a little long ( just like on the pic), so I decided to take in to get in hammed and dry cleaned .... Well, it's been a week and I went to pick up my dress..... AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? The dress was now a shirt.( It went from 35 inches to 19) Basically, instead of taking off 1 inch they took off about 19.... Kill me now, who makes that kind of a mistake .... I was so upset I ended up crying like there was no tomorrow. As a result, the company is now saying that a dress probably shrunk .... but come on, isn't thats why we take stuff for dry cleaning ?????? SO IT DOES NOT SHRINK? Oooh ... yea, and this was one of the best dry cleaners in the city .... So, right now I am in a huge dispute with the owner and I am not sure what will happen ... But I promise to post pics of the SHIRT DRESS as soon as I get it back and tell you the ending of this tragic story..... I have never even worn the dress, not even at home with heels on ... And now, I can't find the same dress in my size :(

BUT I DID FIND THIS .... I will call this my pain - shopping, you the kind you do after a break up ... you absolutely do not need it , but buy it because it make you feel better ... AND that is exactly what I did ... Tomorrow, I am planning to continue with my serious healing therapy by for some retail therapy with my mommy ...

My on - line retail therapy was complete at Active Endeavors ...and this is what I found .

1. Harrow Shirt by Totem

2. Willie Scoop Knit Dress by Rhys Dwfen -

3. Chix Dress by Maggie Ward

NOW, it a matter of waiting for them to arrive and hopefully before my B-day.

And now on to my weekend .......

Although, I am not a hopeless romantic ... my boyfriend - who's real name is Andrew - does like to surprise with the most romantic things, randomly. This time, he was wonderful enough to surprise me with tickets to " Dirty Dancing" that I've been dying to see... The night was perfect and I must admit " I had the time of my life" ( cheezy phase, but it is from the movie)... Everything about the show was amazing, from the old theater, to the lively music, so an outstanding performance ... absolutely perfect. I know, how awesome is he? lol

P.S. thanks baby, you're the best ( kisses)

I didn't take the pictures at the show because I forgot my camera at home ... but here's my outfit.

I am wearing:
- Hayden Cashmere Dress
- Jucity Couture Mary Jane's
- Dove Necklace by Kimberly Baker Jewelry
- A.V.Max New York Studd Cuff

By the way, welcome to my closet (well one side of it, lol).... I know it is a complete crazy mess and I can't find most of my stuff in it ... But I have an excuse... I am still renovating my room which is taking must longer than I ever expected... I am finally done with changing every in my bathroom, and my room is coming together very slowly... As for the closet, well that is still a work in progress ... I don't even know what to do with it .... SO PLEASE, SAVE ME FROM THE MISERY OF LOOKING AT ANOTHER HOME MAGAZINE AND LEAVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS >>>> PRETTY PLEASE :) and thank you

EXCITING : I would like to thank Leeann for featuring me in on Beauty Chat Blog( click here, to check it out) ..... THANK YOU SO MUCH :)

Girly girl in a man’s man world …. :P

Hey Everyone,

I had a really exciting and action packed weekend.... so, on Friday ( as I've mentioned) I went to a football game and even though my team lost I had a blast. Although I was surrounded by about 85% men ( and I am not complaining) I felt so comfortable ... just drinking beer with pop cork (I know, it's a weird combination).... After the game, we ended up going to the game's after party and the rest is a history :P .... But I will admit that I do prefer going to hockey games ... and I am eagerly awaiting for the new season to start.

I know, I'm a girly girl type but I do love watching sports and even used to play baseball on school team...SO, here my question : CAN A GIRLY GIRL BE A TOMBOY AT HEART?

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend :)

As for my outfit... nothing special, just a simple pair of J brand jeans with a Gap Sweater and favorite flats :)

VERY EXCITING
: Johnny Dale who is an author of The Darling Budds , mentioned my post about scarves in his totally awesome blog ( click to check it out) .... Thank you so much :)

Addictive Personality …. :S

*KISSES*

Just wanted to say a quick hello, so " HELLO" ( lol).

I wanted to make a random post, since only today have I realized that I have an addictive personality.... normal or not :D

I have a very addictive personality, meaning that once I love something I will love it until I get bored or sick of it... that sounds pretty mean, lol. This is especially the case when it comes to material things, food, and especially going out places.... right now, I am obsessed with this little European cafe that is right on the shore of Lake Ontario and has a stunning view of the downtown... and I've gone there about three times this week.... :S ( uggh)

So, I decided to make a list of my top ten addictions:

- Godiva Chocolate .... I have to have it every week :)
- Starbucks Mocha ... this is how I start my day
-Chanel and Dior make up .... the only kind I wear and obsessive buy
- A cafe on the shore of Ontario ... I go there couple time a week
- Michael Kors shoes.... 90% of my foot wear is from him
- Buying Books... I love collecting books and of course, reading them.
- Cashmere ... I love it, now all my sweaters have to be cashmere... hehe ( jking)
- Watching "Pretty Woman " and " Dirty Dancing"... I re- watch them religiously.
- Going to musicals and ballet shows.... I "drag" ( no, he actually enjoys them) my boyfriend to every single one that is out there
- Decorating my room .... I've been doing it for two month and it's still a complete mess.

dirty habits + guilty pleasure = addictions of the moment :)

So here is my question.... DO YOU HAVE AN OBSESSION/ADDICTION/HABIT/ THAT YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT ? please do share ... I'll make me feel more normal because I have so many ( I really should stop making fun of myself, hehe)

I decided to post couple of pics. from my last two outfits .... Plus, I would like to introduce you to my baby ( the fluff ball on the pics, lol)... he's an English Cocker Spaniel who's in a bad need of a haircut ( hehe)... ooh yea, and his name is Johnny :) ....

I am wearing:
Splendid Supima Cotton Dress
Tommy Hilfiger Clutch
Michael Kors Wedges
I am wearing:
Gap Organic Cotton Tee
Abercrombie & Fitch Skinnies in Grey
Michael Kors Platforms
Michael Kors purse
Liz Claiborne Belt

OOh yea... and here are my today's purchases.

I've been obsessing about Juicy Couture Mary Jane's for forever now... today I stumbled upon this pair and could not resist, plus they were on sale ( huge plus) and I just imaged how cute they could look with my Cashmere dress.... I think I am developing an addiction for Juicy Couture ( but not their track suits) now ... oooo nooo

- Juicy Couture Mary Jane's - $318, on sale for $ 118

This purchase satisfied my complete need for Minnetonka Boots ... and if you used this code you get 10% off at the Minnetonka Moccasin Shop( click on the link) - TAKE10

Now it's a matter of waiting for them to come in the mail ...
- Minnetonka Hi Top Back Zip Boot - $44.95

P.S. OOOh YEa... Today, I am going to a football game with my boyfriend ... so I am really excited. Since him and I usually go to hockey games only ... I am a little unsure about this game ....but it's a new experience and I love sports :) So, I'll update you on how that goes ... hehe :P

SORRY for sounding so hyper, I an running on sugar and caffeine.
