Birthday Girl …. and Project Self :)
Hello Lovelies,
Me = Blind
Anyways, now on to my outfit:
I have finally received my new babies from Minnetonka and I can't stop wearing them, haha ....
- Wilfred Linen Trench
- Minnetonka's
- Coach Lather Swingbag
- Swarovski Love Charm Bracellet
So I was really excited to be tagged by one of my fav.bloggers Ashleigh from Rantings of a Fashion Addict (DON'T Forget to check out her blog), who is not only a fellow Canadian but also a school buddy ( yep, we go to the same uni. ... this world really is a tiny place) and a total knock-out. Not only is she sweet and down-to-earth, but also has a killer sense of style... Her ability to pair designer with vintage/thrifted items is a quality I will always be secretly jealous off, lol.... yep, I confess to it.... and she's never afraid to take a chance when it comes to fashion .... and I check back everyday to find some inspiration from this " fashion addict"....
Now the rules .....
- State 8 things you like about yourself, 3 things you dislike, and 5 things that you have previously disliked but have learned to love.
- You ( the tagged blogger) must state something you love about both the person tagging you as well as the individual you tag.
- Post a picture that displays at least one of the things you love or dislike about yourself. This is in response to some of the hate and negativity that we have seen popping up in comments all over the place. Constructive criticism is fine but when you personally stab at someone(i.e. about their weight) that's just plain mean.
- My ability to stay true to myself ...I don't fall under peer pressure or have the need to fit in; I believe in surrounding myself by people who will accept me for who I am.
- My Ambition ....I work hard to achieve what I want.
- My Priorities ....I have my priorities straight.
- A fact that I am not emotion but rational.... well, on most situations.
- A fact that I am an only child .... I love it, I know I'm selfish,lol :p
- A fact that I am a bookworm .... I LOVE reading.
- I love my eyes ... they are a copy of my mom's eyes - green and almond shaped.
- I love my legs .... I don't like admitting it, but it is true.
- Being a perfectionist .... well, that's self-explanatory.
Being a complete control freak ... I plan everything, lol
- Always being late... I am always in a rush (which results in speeding tickets, lol)
- My weight .... I am naturally really skinny and used to be called names ( in elementary school) ... Right now, I weight 98 pounds and love that I can pig out every day,lol
... but it continues to be a love/hate relationship.
- I have really bad vision ( -5.75) ... I only wear contacts and plan on getting a surgery ( but too scared for now).
- I am picky ... I just can't help it, but leaned to control it.
- My Wavy hair ... I have wavy hair that sometimes complicates my life, but my perfect hairdresser fixed the problem.
- My Appearance .... I used to be self-conscious but now I just love myself for who I am ... and would not change a simple thing about myself
For my photo .... I decide to chose a photo of myself. It represents all of the things that I wrote above.
MARTA
Overwhelmed with excitement …. :)
Hey Everyone,
Today has been a really exciting day for me, not because I received my package from Active Endevors ( a week before my b-day) or got my hair done ( at my fav. hairdressers), but because of a pleasant surprise I had waiting for me in my mail box.Today, I received at e-mail from the author of my favorite book, Leonardo's Swans, Karen Essex... and boy, was I excited ( I even jumped around my room *blush blush*) I mean, how often do you receive " thanks for reading my book " and a quick hello from an author? Not only is she an award-winning journalist,a screen writer, and the author of two acclaimed biographical novels, Kleopatra and Pharaoh, but is also a fashion lover, who " never felt the need to look like a frumpy writer" and who views fashion " as theater, just another art form to enjoy."
I've been completely fascinated with the story she presented in Leonardo's Swans that I've spent my free time researching about Isabella and Beatrice d'Este. I am extremely excited to start reading Stealing Athena which also focuses on art and architecture ..... Check this out:
I would like to thank Karen Essex for dedicating her time to writing such a wonderful book that truly does demonstrate as well as expose the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci as well as for leaving me a quick hello ... Thank you
As for today's outfit... I decided to wear my new shirt from Totem.
I've never owned any article of clothing in such bright colors before, however, once I saw it ... I had to have it,
I love the colors

The Secrets of Hermes
Hey Everyone,
Check this out ....
As you may already know, the company was founded by Frenchman Thierry Hermes in 1837 and it specialized in saddles and leather goods.
First called the Haut a Courroie, what's now known as the Kelly was launched in the 1930s. But when Grace Kelly used it to hide her pregnant belly from an intruding Life Magazine photographer in 1956, the bag got its name and its fame.

Girly girl in a man’s man world …. :P
I had a really exciting and action packed weekend.... so, on Friday ( as I've mentioned) I went to a football game and even though my team lost I had a blast. Although I was surrounded by about 85% men ( and I am not complaining) I felt so comfortable ... just drinking beer with pop cork (I know, it's a weird combination).... After the game, we ended up going to the game's after party and the rest is a history
.... But I will admit that I do prefer going to hockey games ... and I am eagerly awaiting for the new season to start.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend
As for my outfit... nothing special, just a simple pair of J brand jeans with a Gap Sweater and favorite flats
VERY EXCITING : Johnny Dale who is an author of The Darling Budds , mentioned my post about scarves in his totally awesome blog ( click to check it out) .... Thank you so much
Addictive Personality …. :S
Just wanted to say a quick hello, so " HELLO" ( lol).
I wanted to make a random post, since only today have I realized that I have an addictive personality.... normal or not
I have a very addictive personality, meaning that once I love something I will love it until I get bored or sick of it... that sounds pretty mean, lol. This is especially the case when it comes to material things, food, and especially going out places.... right now, I am obsessed with this little European cafe that is right on the shore of Lake Ontario and has a stunning view of the downtown... and I've gone there about three times this week.... :S ( uggh)
So, I decided to make a list of my top ten addictions:
- Starbucks Mocha ... this is how I start my day
-Chanel and Dior make up .... the only kind I wear and obsessive buy
- A cafe on the shore of Ontario ... I go there couple time a week
- Michael Kors shoes.... 90% of my foot wear is from him
- Buying Books... I love collecting books and of course, reading them.
- Cashmere ... I love it, now all my sweaters have to be cashmere... hehe ( jking)
- Watching "Pretty Woman " and " Dirty Dancing"... I re- watch them religiously.
- Going to musicals and ballet shows.... I "drag" ( no, he actually enjoys them) my boyfriend to every single one that is out there
- Decorating my room .... I've been doing it for two month and it's still a complete mess.
dirty habits + guilty pleasure = addictions of the moment
So here is my question.... DO YOU HAVE AN OBSESSION/ADDICTION/HABIT/ THAT YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT ? please do share ... I'll make me feel more normal because I have so many ( I really should stop making fun of myself, hehe)
I decided to post couple of pics. from my last two outfits .... Plus, I would like to introduce you to my baby ( the fluff ball on the pics, lol)... he's an English Cocker Spaniel who's in a bad need of a haircut ( hehe)... ooh yea, and his name is Johnny
....
Gap Organic Cotton Tee
Abercrombie & Fitch Skinnies in Grey
Michael Kors Platforms
Michael Kors purse
Liz Claiborne Belt

I've been obsessing about Juicy Couture Mary Jane's for forever now... today I stumbled upon this pair and could not resist, plus they were on sale ( huge plus) and I just imaged how cute they could look with my Cashmere dress.... I think I am developing an addiction for Juicy Couture ( but not their track suits) now ... oooo nooo

This purchase satisfied my complete need for Minnetonka Boots ... and if you used this code you get 10% off at the Minnetonka Moccasin Shop( click on the link) - TAKE10
Now it's a matter of waiting for them to come in the mail ...

P.S. OOOh YEa... Today, I am going to a football game with my boyfriend ... so I am really excited. Since him and I usually go to hockey games only ... I am a little unsure about this game ....but it's a new experience and I love sports
So, I'll update you on how that goes ... hehe
