My favourite thing about summer is when it rains and there is a thunderstorm. Everyone is crazy about the sun, but I enjoy overcast days and rain. Plus everything smells amazing after a great rain: the dirt, the plants, the sidewalks, even the asphalt smells amazing! Everything just is renewed and refreshed after rain and it provides needed water for our food (especially fresh berries which are amazing added to iced tea, by the way)!
Thunderstorms used to frighten me, but after gaining more confidence about not being struck by lightning (I make sure to stay inside or take a taxi/bus if I have to leave the house), they are quite fascinating. Plus it’s great to curl up with tea (hot or iced, depending on how hot it still is) and read a horror story or a scary scene in a book during a thunderstorm (even in the middle of the day). Thunderstorms and hard rain also clear out heat and humidity and cool everything down!
My favourite thing about summer is walking around in flip flops all day

My favourite thing about summer is everything! From tanning outside in sweaty 40 degree weather to BBQ-ing all the time, going to the cottage and having drinks on the dock, swimming in the lake, summer clothes, thunderstorms, being able to go outside with wet hair and not have it freeze, eating more froyo and ice cream than during the rest of the year, wakeboarding, bike riding, bonfires and s’mores, sleeping in, wearing little to no makeup, seeing the sun (almost) every day, relaxing in the shade, iced tea, iced coffee and other fun summer drinks and perhaps most importantly, four months of no school!
I love the warmer weather. It’s perfect in the morning, a mix of cool and warm, just perfect. I love all the summer activities.

My favourite summer moments are when the whole family gets together for a BBQ or potluck or cornboil. It’s always been my favourite memory of summer as a kid..and I still love doing this as an adult. I could go on about how many things I love about summer but my favourite part is my summer job. I am a waitress at a local restaurant and I love seeing the smiling faces of my regulars in the morning and meeting tourists from all over the world.

My favourite thing about Summer? It’s so hard to pick just one…. I love being able to go on road trips to Northern Ontario and spend the days lying on the dock at our cottage either with a cold beer or pitcher of iced tea. After spending the day without seeing or hearing another person (we’re extremely remote; no phones, Internet, and only solar power), its amazing to spend the night staring at the night sky where you can see the entire Milky Way, and if you’re there at the right time, the Northern Lights.
After spending time up North, it’s amazing to come home to the city and experience the huge summer storms we get in Toronto! If its not too crazy of a storm, it’s fun to go out in the pouring rain and jut experience the summer rain! I may not like the humid heat, but I love the rain it brings!

The one thing, I love the most about summer, is how everyone seems more relaxed and in a better mood then in winter. I also find myself having more energy and having more time to spend with friends and family. I take advantage of nature and the festivities our city has to offer ( jazz fest, Just for laught, Fireworks, etc.) I guess there are many things i love about summer. Summer is so good for things you might not normally have the time for! Volunteering is something I really love doing but I don’t have the time during the year but during the summer I do as much as I can. Sipping on tea, hanging out with friends and just relaxing all contribute to an awesome summer!

My favourite thing about summer is summer camp. I grew up at camp, and now I continue to give back to this community and I work at camp. Tea has become an important ritual here for both the staff and campers, as I along with being the office admin, lifeguard, and possible ropes staff, am the tea bringer.

My favorite thing about summer is being able to drink a glass of iced tea and have it be refreshing instead of chilling. Granted, in the winter, I usually drink hot tea, too, but I can’t really drink hot tea as much during the summer since it’s not as cool.

My favorite thing about summer is eating all the fresh fruits in season. Watermelons are really refreshing on a hot day. And berries are great midday fruits to snack on.
My favourite thing about the summer is to see all the greenery outdoors and enjoy the warm sun against my skin with a book and cold drink in hand.
Summer has always been my favourite season for a multitude of reasons. Some of these reasons are inevitable, for example, my birthday on the ides of August and back-to-school shopping. Some of these reasons are simply common sense; I hate wearing jackets and I love walking around lively neighbourhoods and summer offers the best climate for these activities. Although, the main reason I have always loved summer best is for the opportunity to experience the longest, warmest and fullest days of the year. I think we all have memories of being a kid during summer vacations that seemed to last forever. As adults, we have piled on responsibilities that disallow the freedom of truly having nothing to do except appreciate the day, and summer gives us a chance to feel that freedom again. Even if it’s only an hour a day. That’s what I love about summer.

Hot yoga every day, biking everywhere possible, infinite gatherings with friends, baking new desserts (creme caramel, anyone?) and seizing every opportunity that comes by because it’s summer and summer means no limits.

My favorite thing about summer is my family’s annual family reunion. We all come together at a cottage that has no service, leaving behind the modern conveniences of cell phones, internet, and television. We spend our days swimming in the lake, eating delicious food, and enjoying each others company. The evenings are spent around a campfire singing songs, putting on funny skits, and playing countless card games. Each year we all get to have a mini-vacation together, watching as the future generations grow, and making memories together. Every summer I look forward to taking a vacation away from work and escaping to a family paradise

My favorite thing about summer is a weekend home with my parents. On occasion I take a me weekend and drive back to their house. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved sitting on the glider swing in the yard and listening to the wind chimes. The feel of the sun on my hair. There are large gardens that my mom, with her amazing green thumb, grows every year and the smell of the flowers hangs heavy in the air and mingles with the scent of fresh cut grass. It’s even better when there’s a book and a glass of iced tea.

My favorite thing about summer… I love to pack up my 3yr old and take him on “adventures” which can be just getting on the bike & toddler trailer and picnicking in the park or exploring areas around our beautiful city, usually with historical significance. Spending time with my little one having bonfires, fishing & cookouts is incomparable to anything & summertime affords you the weather to do this.

One of the highlights of the summer for me is the Toronto Beaches Jazz Festival. Bonus this year was a delicious DavidsTEA sample table set up on the street where I got to see the Steeper in action. Great device for iced tea!

My perfect summer day would be sitting on my covered deck, listening to the rain dance across the metal roof, and land lightly on the edge of my deck. I would be drinking a cup of hot tea, curled up in my old wooden deck chair with a super soft blanket. My whole day would be devoted to reading books, cuddling with my collie, and breathing in the mixed scents of Blueberry Jam tea and the sweet summer rain.

I work at a summer camp, so naturally one of my favourite things about summer is seeing kids enjoy their time, try new activities, and expand their limits by trying new things. I love hearing the stories at the end of the week hearing all their exciting stories and things they enjoyed. One of my favourite things to do at the end of a long day at work is curl up in my bed read a good book, a sip a nice big cup of tea.
