Hello Darlings, As with every typical day, my post shower routine starts with a trip into my closet where I peruse through heaps of clothing. Typically, nothing suits my mood for the day; classic “closet full of clothes and nothing to wear” dilemma. Incredibly enough there’s never a day when I walk in and know exactly which outfit to wear. As part of my day there’s typically a client event that adds to the pressure of always playing that part of being fashion forward. A concept that I dread! After all, what is fashion forward?

It seems that being in an industry that revolves around fashion always puts the pressure of looking the part. With street style and style blogging playing a prominent part in our current culture DNA, the two have evolved into a category that requires you meeting a certain criteria or adhering to a particular dress code. Somewhere between acing selfie game, flat shoots and strong hashtag game is the it-bag carrying, stiletto strolling persona that lost touch with individuality.

Hello Darlings, In many situations you’ll hear people advice that it’s not the situation it is your state of mind that carves out the outcome. While I’ve always been the one to take that advice with a grain of salt, lately I’ve been questioning as to how true it may be. In many situation whether personal or professional we are defined by our outlook. Over time our mindset becomes habitual as does the process in which we resolve problems.

Have you ever taken a moment to look back on a situation and think how could I have handled it differently? I’ve been doing that a lot lately. Looking back on your own responses can provide with answers that you’re looking for. Depending on how you handle unexpected situations or high stress demands will showcase what your attitudes are.

Hello Darlings, First to admit that I’m not one to go on health fixes, juice cleanses or the latest fitness crazed classes. As much as I do care about my well being and focus on exercise and good nutrition, I do find that it is a matter of mentality. I’ve always kept an “old school” mindset that everything in moderation is a good life plan.

I think that finding balance between what your life is and where you want it to go is a matter of habits. Habits that we form regardless of whether good or bad is a matter of time. As we proceed through life we try to break some of the bad habits that have formed over time and work towards establishing positive ones. With age we consider our actions more and in turn dedicate more time and effort to carving out the life we envision for ourselves earlier. At times knowing what is good for us is not always enough which is where Jawbone comes in! It comes right at the time when certain habit ought to be broken and new ones to be formed.
