Being a Woman Entrepreneur

Hello Darlings, Most of the conversations on the topic of being a woman entrepreneur or a successful businesswoman tackle the issue of how to overcome the challenges. In my opinion that is a very short sighted view!

Being an entrepreneur comes with its own set of challenges that are unique to every individual; stating that because you’re a woman there are more challenges is simply unfair. In the years that I have graduated from university and set out to receive my first government grant to pursue a crazy dream, I have learned that being a woman in business has absolutely nothing to do with fairness. Yes, it is a fact that our natural tendency as a female is wanting to be liked and accepted by our peers, a quality that often times cripples one’s advancement in a business world. Therefore, being a woman is not the challenge or disadvantage, it is our very own nature that often stands in the way of our success.

The Louboutin Affair

Hello Darlings, Women and the love affairs that they share with their shoes cannot be explained, it can only be experienced. Some say that the right shoes can change a woman’s life. The rhetoric may not carry a direct meaning, I do however believe that in fact it is true. It is a concept that one must experience first in order to believe it. As Carrie Bradshaw once famously said in Sex and The City, ” The fact is, sometimes it’s really hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. That’s why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun.”

Single or happily in love, walking in a woman’s shoes is no easy adventure. In a woman’s world, a shoe reflects her mood or creates the mood. In my case, you can tell how I feel by looking down at my feet. Some shoes are so special that they make a woman feel empowered enough to turn her into a force of nature to be reckoned with. I know we all have that pair that makes us feel invincible when worn! Aside from adding a spring to her step and perfecting the posture while beautifully accentuating feminine curves, shoes also empower her spirit.Perhaps that’s the reason why we adore them so much!

In my Louboutin Sweet Charity

Hello Darlings, A woman’s purse is her weapon, we all know it! It carries our secrets and so much more. During the fashion week that weapon becomes a stand in for everything. From a beauty kit, to a lunch box, a tech station and a go-to companion. For that one week, we essentially live out of our purses. It may not be the same purse but regardless of which one it is, it is single - handedly the most important accessory aside from our phone which is probably in that purse! Not to forget it is also a fashion statement and during this brutal winter, the shoes and the purses have been lifesavers. They are the only accessories that can be regularly changed to add a kick to an otherwise dull parka or winter coat.

Versatile enough to transition every outfit from day to night. Since I tend to favor my purses and shoes; Sweet Charity is seeing lot of action this week.
