The Picture
Most dating websites allow you to upload more than one picture but you’ll want the one you choose as your main image to really stand out. Pick the best picture you have of yourself which shows you alone (no group shots), smiling and in a relaxed position.
If you don’t have the perfect one, get a friend to help you take one. Holidays from five years ago, fancy dress and mad antics from a night out are definitely ones to avoid.
The Questions
Take your time answering questions as it’s important to get them right. Don’t be tempted to tell any fibs – you’ll only be found out eventually. What people really want to see is that you’re honest, genuine and secure in yourself.
The Statement
In the “about me” section, you’ll have the chance to flesh out your profile with a little story about yourself and what you’re looking for. You don’t have to write an essay but don’t just put bullet points.
