Hello Darlings,
Tuesday night, I had the pleasure to host the Apres-Work party at the swanky Thompson Toronto rooftop patio. The venue is one of my favorites for summer evenings! This was my second time hosting an event at Thompson and I was looking forward to spending the evening mingling and enjoying cocktails with readers, industry colleagues and friends :)
Before the event, I had a fun time shopping with Toronto Blue Jay's catcher, J.P. Arencibia. We spent a few hours together at the French Connection store at Bloor and Yonge in downtown Toronto, chatting about his style, women, life - he is a real sweetheart! The interview and images coming up in the next post tomorrow.
Hello Darlings,
I remember seeing Victoria Beckham for the first time wearing THAT cat print dress as she was carrying her baby girl. There was a touch of innocence and playfulness in the print. The crepe de chine dress was from Beckham's new Victoria by Victoria Beckham S/S 2012 collection, which was followed by precious cat print shoes in collaboration with Charlotte Olympia.

It was a parade of the cutest prints since Miu Miu S/S 2010 collection with which I am still obsessed. Ahhh... if only I could get my hands on those satin Miu Miu mary janes!
Hello Darling,
Is it worth splurging extra on designer heels? This is a never ending debate in life. While some may not justify spending hundreds on a pair of heels, others are more than willing and some won't settle for spending any less!
Prada Peep-Toe Shoes
Like everything, shoes should be purchased within your means. Personally, I cannot afford $700+ heels, but occasionally I do justify spending up to $500 on special ones that make my heart skip a beat. Spending a third of rent on a pair of heels is indulgent and without a doubt does tickle the gilt. But the question today is, are they worth it?

Hello Darlings,
This weekend is special in Canada as it's the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Montreal. Last year, I had a chance to enjoy the festivities and the races. You can check out the fun by clicking here :) This year I was looking forward to another fun-filled weekend getaway, however decided to cancel the trip last minute due to protesting chaos.
For those who are not familiar, Montreal has been facing not so pleasant student protests for the past four months over university tuition hikes. I understand their concerns, but it's still disappointing that they ruined probably the most lucrative weekend of the year for many of the bars and restaurants!
