Hello Darlings,
Last weekend, I went exploring in my hometown and thought to write this article with my “best of” places to go and see in Toronto.
The variety of people and neighborhoods in Toronto is unlike maybe any other city, so random exploring days can be lots of fun. Some people worship New York, Paris, London and Milan as the most chic and fabulous places on Earth. I don’t disagree, but I think Toronto deserves mention in the list! So here is my current “best of” list of places to see in Toronto, at least in my mind!
I love how friendly people are. I love our National Ballet and Opera, Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, Casa Loma and our CN Tower. I love Toronto fashion week and thousand of other things (except our poor Maple Leafs hockey team who haven’t won in 4 decades!).
This past weekend with friends, I explored Kensington Market. It was a perfect Sunday morning. So in the spirit of finding new things, here is a list of my Toronto favorites, besides dessert cafes. Because of my deep love and appreciation for them, Toronto’s dessert places essentially deserved their own post. You can check it out here! This is list is not in any order…
♥ National Ballet of Canada at Four Season Center
I danced ballet for ten years, and now enjoy the beauty as an audience member.
The view of downtown is terrific, with a wonderful patio for summer.
♥ The Boiler House at Distillery District
Great food and the location is even better. Distillery District is a must-see!
Great place for desserts. Pusateri’s is a supermarket with a café inside.
♥ Hazelton Lanes Patio in Yorkville
One of my favorites for summer cocktails with friends.
Great asian food in a great location in the entertainment district.
Charming, artsy and cozy. Their food is as good as their atmosphere.
♥ Sempre Pizza and Pasta on Bloor St. West
My favorite place to satisfy cravings for Italian food.
I love their nachos and huge patio.
♥ Momiji Sushi on Bloor St. West
The atmosphere and sushi are great.
Now moving on to the outfit part of the program…
I wore my new Sonya Rykiel top for an adventure in Kensington. I love how it adds a perfect amount of color to a simple and lazy Sunday outfit!

P.S. Some have asked about my “mission” post and to let you know it is a work in process! I have decided to overhaul my spring/summer closet and sell some items that I have gently worn that deserve a new home 
So, yes darlings… I am working on an ebay store!!!

kensington market is always fun and I love the distillery district! during the summer we love to go to harbour front and just relax near the water.
I always hear how friendly Canadians are. Definately on my list of places to go. Loved this post and your cute flats!
OMG - Toronto is one of my favs in the world! I have been there so many times when I was living in Buffalo, end every single time I loved it. One of my favourite places to see is the Casa Loma… It seems to be back in time!
People are super nice, food is great, the city is nice and clean, and there are so many different neighborhoods to enjoy…

i still want to take a trip to toronto and montreal… i’ve heard it is like a mini- europe. i’m afraid i will fall in love and not want to leave !

Marta! Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. You have the perfect transition to Spring outfit. I definitely agree with you on your top places! I adore the Distillery District and Kensington Market. I also really enjoy Greek Town in the Bloor-Danforth area. They really have some amazing restaurants there. In the summer time, I really like going for walks in Edwards Garden, its just a shame that you aren’t allowed dogs in there anymore. I am too excited for Spring/Summer!

I know what you mean! I’ve lived less than an hour from Philadelphia all my life and I’ve barely explored there (although given its current status as the murder capital now…), but when I was younger my family and I did the whole tourist thing there. We saw all the historical things left over from when Philly was the capital of the country.
Love your outfits and I’m glad you had a fun time! I must go to Canada someday soon; there’s so many places I want to see and I never hear anything bad about Canada.
Correct me if i`m wrong, but I think you forgot to mention Kensington Market even though some of your pictures are from there (PS i love exile). I wish I lived in the heart of Toronto, I live in boring old Markham…. Hmm…. I really like the glasses place at Kensington (the one where every pair is like five dollars)

I’m not very familiar with Kensington because I’ve been there only once, so I can’t really recommend any places. But I will definitely check out exile!

I absolutely love the clarity of these pictures, and the colourful graffiti! I had no idea Toronto was so colourful.
Love those flats! I was trying my hardest to get a pair in my size but they were all sold out last year.
