Hello Darlings, Well, today was an ordinary day... school, study... ooh yea, and babysitting my 5 year old cousin. He and I had a blast watching Transformers movie. Aanyways, on to the important issues and posts coming up: 1) V-day Enough said... Whats a girl to wear? What are you planning on wearing ( if celebrating)? 2) Spring Wardrobe Well, it is -20 and I am already planning out my spring wardrobe. Leather jacket was the starting point. Definitely something so post about...hehe

What do you think are this Spring essentials? What are you planning on buying?

3) Shopping on a Student Budget. Over a certain period of time, I've received comments and e-mails asking" How can I afford/organize my wardrobe on a student budget?" I actually have quite a technique that works for me and does not require crazy amounts of money. So, I will definately make a post regarding that in the near future...I am actually really thrilled to do it.

If there's anything you would want me to talk about, do not hesitate to ask. I am always open to any questions/suggestions.

My Favorite Nook

Well, today's outfit was pretty simple...I was too lazy to be creative and really didn't want to go to my German class. One thing I've learned in University is DON'T START A LANGUAGE IN A UNIVERSITY. It will slowly murder you.... like German is murdering me now. But a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do....get a tutor ( as if 4 hour lectures are not enough)

But no serious damage done here.... A trip to Starbucks after class was all it took to make things better... And After a Grande Mocha and 3 chocolate cupcakes I was ready for homework, AGAIN.

Sure, designers can make their " affordable" tees costing $100 but for me nothing beats GAP pima cotton tees with a little pocket. I have them in few colors. Not only are they soft... but are very flattering.

I bet many of you wonder... why do I always take picture in the same place.Well... 1) I hate taking pics in public... I'm kind of shy in that way. 2) It is like -20 outside. 3) I like taking pics in the privacy of my room with nobody's help. I just place my camera on a shelf and point towards my favorite nook. hehe... no fancy photography skills here.

Tip: If you live in cold climate ( like me) invest in a cute sweater that's warm and basic. Although I paid nearly $200 for this cardi... I've been wearing it non stop. Comfy, cute, super warm, and goes with about anything. It will work perfectly in the spring and fall. And because the quality is amazing and the cut is pretty classic it will probably last me a few winters.I really really love it, as well.

Anyways, back I go... I am writing a textbook review for my research. So not fun.

Cozy Knits - Mariouche Fox Fur

Hello Darlings,

Living in Canada comes with it's fair share of good and bad. To the good, ski season lasts a long time. To the bad, freezing your tushy in -20 temperatures. But then again there is an upside to extreme cold weather, since it present me with a new fashion challenge... So today's HUNT is finding the perfect extreme cold weather hat!

I have not worn a hat since grade nine, instead just using the hood of my parka. But now that I transferred to a wool coat, my ears are freezing. Thus my search for a warm hat, which is more of a challenge than I could imagine!

In my experience, hats come in limited supplies and in pretty boring variations. Eventually I found this Mariouche Hat with recycled fox fur. The hat cost $100, which is more than I wanted to pay, but it's cute and really warm!

My ears are toasty warm and surprisingly it never leaves me with "hat hair" or " flat hair".

CRAZY or NOT! - it was just too cold.

Twilight Update: I finished the last book of Twilight Saga - Breaking Down - during my trip - I LOVED IT. I really hope Stephanie Meyer decides to publish Midnight Sun - which is Edward's version of Twilight. If you have any info on this book.... please do share.

From Mexico with Love….part one!!!

Hello Darlings,

I am back ... and wish I wasn't!!!! I LOVE MEXICO!!! It was an unforgettable vacation that was filled with tons of fun, drunken moments , sunny days, and awesome adventures.

Cancun was an ideal vacation destination, with incredible night life and amazing adventure. Grand Oasis is a beautiful 5 star resort, and is definitely the heart of the party!!!

My vacation wardrobe was simple and casual. It mainly consisted of bikinis, summery dresses, my new Miss Trish of Capri Sandals ( i lived in them), high heels, flats, jeans, and tees.

Blast off: Traveling from Canada to Mexico can be a bit difficult, since we left during a crazy snow storm so it was annoying to carry heavy winter clothes when I arrived in hot Mexico.

I wore fluffy flats and my favorite M. Rena sweater. My carry on luggage consisted of two purses, my favorite large leather hobo and a Coach swingpack. And of course, no make up - it is just really bad for your skin on the flight.NEW YEARS All I can say is nothing can compare to ringing in the new year in Cancun.... Simply WOW!!! NEW YEARS IN CANCUN MEXICO: Nothing compares to ringing in the new year in Cancun....

New Years eve is always a big deal to me and having an opportunity to celebrate it in Cancun meant that I had to find a perfect dress. I wore a simple yet comfortable breeze dress from French Connection. It was an an unforgettable night in Cancun city.

To kick-off our New Years eve, we had an amazing dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse, and then went to The City night club with Sandra Collins DJ'ing. To cap off our night there was a party by a swimming pool in our resort.

The New Years celebration lasted into the wee hours of the morning.... :)

COBA - Mayan Ruins and Pyramids

When Andrew and I were deciding on our vacation destination earlier this year, we knew that we wanted to have a cultural experience as well as a party atmosphere, therefore Mexico seemed like an ideal choice. For me, as an architectural freak seeing the ruins was probably the most exciting part of the trip ( I am a geek, I know,lol)... and although, I wish I could have seen as three sites close to Cancun (Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Coba) .... I settled for Coba.

I am wearing: French Connection Cotton Tee Dress Miss Trish of Capri Sandals Ray Ban Wayfarers Coba is a large ruined city of the Pre-Colonial Mayan civilization and is also a location of the newly discovered Mayan ruins and pyramids. The site was opened to the public in 1972 and only 8 % of an estimate of 6,000 structures are restored.The main pyramid, Nohoch Mul is 42 meters tall ( 138 feet) and is the highest in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Our day was filled with adventure in a Mayan village located in the jungle, where we had a Mayan ceremony with a shaman, ate Mayan food with the locals, wandered around a jungle,Zip-lined across the lake, went swimming in a meteorite crater( Cenote), as well as water canoeing through a lagoon.

The day was definately filled with adventure and excitement that is truly unforgettable.The other half of the pictures are coming up soon :)

To a certain degree I am glad to be back... but still adjusting to the brutal cold weather. Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it on the 7th!!!!!

Twilight New Moon… and Snow Day

Hello Darlings,

I am almost finished reading New Moon (2nd Twilight book). I am in LOVE with the books, and thank everyone for encouraging me to read them. and here are my thoughts:

The movie did not do justice to the book, the characters are amazing and when they say that the authors bring them to life in their novels,this novel goes beyond that. I am on the part where Bella just jumped off the clif and Jacob found her, so I am eager to get back to reading to find out how this book will end. Seriously, THESE BOOKS ARE INCREDIBLE and I definitely recommended reading them.

On to my outfit... It's snowing non stop and - 20 degrees, so for the extreme cold weather I wore a thick knit sweater with a warm jacket. And for my big secret, I wear ski socks under my boots to stay warm. My feet stay toasty warm and I can wear any kind of boots...
