Hello Darlings,
I did it! I finished Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James over the weekend! I avoided falling into the Twilight-like trap for as long as I could but the controversy surrounding this trilogy was finally just too much to resist. I did not expect a Lolita type novel where the writing would be a masterpiece and the plot a mind-twister. I was expecting Twilight renaissance with a mild dose of BDSM (aka - bondage & discipline / dominance & submission / sadism & masochism) minus the vampires!

It took me about two days to go through the 528 pages. I was pleasantly surprised, the writing is casual but the plot is captivating. The book is erotic and insightful into the world of BDSM. Apart from the erotica, it depicts a relationship that is complex and absorbing. It is interesting to see how the two characters evolve.
Hello Darlings,
First, I would like to congratulate Pam Ismail on winning the two passes to Scandinave Spa at the Blue Mountain Resort. Second, I just had to share this mesmerizing closet of Toronto's Suzanne Rogers as covered by The Coveteur!
Embraced in the elegance and femininity of classical French design are some of the most coveted pieces straight from the runway. A girl can dream, right? Enjoy!
Hello Darlings,
Seen on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana and Emilio Pucci S/S 2012, the straw bag has made a come back. Not in a beach-going kind of way, but rather with modern shape and luxe finishes.
Made popular in the seventies by Jane Birkin , this carryall picnic perfect darling is once again back on the radar! At first I found the trend a bit provincial, but the more I see it the more fascinated I become.
