Summer Hair Rescue

On June 20, 2012 · 9 Comments

Hello Darlings,

Happy 1st Day of Summer!!! Just a day before my graduation and on the day of my TV shoot — I visited one of my favorite men, Rob Pizzuti of Exit Salon. After a trip to Florida and many sunny days spent outside in Toronto, my hair was showing signs of sun damage. Rob has been my trusted colorist for the past year and he often shares with me latest hair secrets and tricks.

While spending hours in his magic chair, I asked Rob how with sunny days what a girl can do to combat frizz and damage. Here are some of Rob's fabulous tips on what can a girl do to prevent damage or rescue her hair:

JP Arencibia on Women and Their Style

On June 19, 2012 · 10 Comments
Hello Darlings,

Yesterday’s article was part 1 of my interview with popular Toronto Blue Jays baseball player JP Arencibia where he talked about his life and personal style. We had such a fun time making the interview since all the while we were also shopping and styling together in the menswear section on the upper level at the main French Connection store in Toronto. So thanks JP for also opening up about his thoughts and preferences on the topic of women and their style.

Here's what he had to say:

JP Arencibia on His Personal Style

On June 18, 2012 · 17 Comments
Hello Darlings,

Last Tuesday afternoon, I spent a few hours getting to know the hunky Toronto Blue Jays star baseball player, JP Arencibia. The twenty-six year old Miami native — drafted in 2007 — became the Blue Jays single season leader in home runs by a catcher in 2011. JP also recently earned the Major League Baseball Player of the Week award for the period May 14th – 20th, 2012. Despite his impressive skills, what caught my eye was his personal style. In this girls view, JP is one of the best dressed and groomed players in professional sports in Toronto.

I invited JP to come shopping with me at French Connection’s flagship Bloor Street store, and to discuss his personal style, life and of course women! In person, JP is a sweetheart who adores his super cute French Bulldog named Yogi, and enjoys spending a lot of time with his family. All in all, he is one amazing guy!

Here’s what JP Arencibia had to say when we discussed his life and in particular his personal style:

University of Toronto Graduation

On June 17, 2012 · 9 Comments
Hello Darlings,

After 20 courses, 4 languages, 4 internships, 1 specialist — I finally finished my degree and this week attended my University of Toronto convocation as part of St. Michael's College. Although I finished my courses last year, I delayed my convocation until this summer, and could not have asked for a more beautiful day t0 share with my family and friends.

While sitting in Convocation Hall and listening to the University president discuss our great achievement, I began thinking what exactly these fancy diplomas will do for us graduates. With the spiel about University of Toronto being one of the twenty best universities in the world, I was pondering that something like 1 in 2 recent graduates are unemployed. In my own case, while already in a career it still has little to do with what I studied! So with tens of thousands of dollars spent on my degree, and even more time spent on internships and working — I became a professional blogger and a business owner.
