PROM Circus at Royal Ontario Museum
Hello Darlings, What girl wouldn't want to re-live her prom, now that she is older and wiser. Saturday, April 6th is your perfect chance as the 2013 edition of the PROM at the ROM will once again be the highlight of Toronto's spring party season!
My prom in the summer of 2006 was a dream come true but given the chance to do it again, I avoided the drama and a hefty price tag. Whether you're in high-school and getting ready for prom, in university and going to semi-formal, or you're all grown up and attending a gala. Despite the different walks in life, every girl shares the same desire to feel beautiful for that special occasion.
For ROM PROM 2012, I re-lived my 2006 experience. Despite having a perfect dress for PROM Circus at Royal Ontario Museum, I was in a desperate last-minute search for that "Cinderella" slipper. Finding a dress is half the problem, finding a heel to go with it is the other half. Every girl knows that a shoe can make or break an outfit.
In my mind, nothing was as appropriate as a classic Betsey Johnson dress, the theme was prom after-all. Luckily, my mother surprised me with a pretty yet simple Betsey Johnson dress in February. The shoes were a bit more difficult as I wanted a pair in silver, to complement my silver Marc Jacobs clutch. The search wasn't easy but I did find the most perfect shoe from Kate Spade.

On the day of PROM, I spent two hours with wonder - Jan of Exit Salon. I was determined to try something different that was as far from my daily waves as possible. On special occasions, it is nice to try something different and surprise those who love you. My dearest was definitely surprised when he saw my loose side bun that Jan so perfectly executed. I absolutely loved the look!
In the majestic setting on the roaring twenties circus, E and I danced the night away. I must note, he looked handsome in his tuxedo and a bow-tie :) I look forward to yet another wonderful PROM night next year!
