Hello Darlings,
From Moscow to Milan, and Tokyo to Toronto, Park Hyatt hosts fabulous culinary experiences called "Masters of Food & Wine" on the turn of each season. Last night, I was kindly invited to the upscale Park Hyatt in Toronto for a " Bourbon and Barbecue" event to celebrate summer solstice and sample and learn all-things bourbon!

World famous bourbon whiskey maker Beam Inc. partnered with Park Hyatt to host the event, where Distillery Diplomat Matt Jones guided the group (about 40 people) through a tasting of six different bourbon brands. We started with the lowest percentage alcohol brands such as Jim Beam Black and Devil's Cut. Round three was my personal favorite - Maker's Mark - followed by the stronger and more exotic Knob Creek and Booker's Bourbon brands.

Hello Darlings,
Last week, I attended the popular annual Power Ball: Quarter Life Crisis VIP reception and party at The Harbourfront Centre, hosted by The Power Plant, Grey Goose and the soon-to-open Soho House. The Power Plant is celebrating its 25th anniversary, thus the quarter life crisis birthday bash theme.
Power Ball is an annual fundraiser event that takes place at The Power Plant on the Toronto waterfront. Since 1999, Power Ball has set the standard for all summer parties in Toronto, and also provides vital funding to the exhibition and public programs at The Power Plant.
Yesterday’s article was part 1 of my interview with popular Toronto Blue Jays baseball player JP Arencibia where he talked about his life and personal style. We had such a fun time making the interview since all the while we were also shopping and styling together in the menswear section on the upper level at the main French Connection store in Toronto. So thanks JP for also opening up about his thoughts and preferences on the topic of women and their style.

Hello Darlings,
Last Tuesday afternoon, I spent a few hours getting to know the hunky Toronto Blue Jays star baseball player, JP Arencibia. The twenty-six year old Miami native — drafted in 2007 — became the Blue Jays single season leader in home runs by a catcher in 2011. JP also recently earned the Major League Baseball Player of the Week award for the period May 14th – 20th, 2012. Despite his impressive skills, what caught my eye was his personal style. In this girls view, JP is one of the best dressed and groomed players in professional sports in Toronto.

I invited JP to come shopping with me at French Connection’s flagship Bloor Street store, and to discuss his personal style, life and of course women! In person, JP is a sweetheart who adores his super cute French Bulldog named Yogi, and enjoys spending a lot of time with his family. All in all, he is one amazing guy!

Here’s what JP Arencibia had to say when we discussed his life and in particular his personal style:
