Dressing for summer comes with some challenges. Something about wearing as little as possible throws me off. I feel awkward in shorts and minis (as if my behind is naked). I prefer wearing cashmere scarves, my Mackage leather jacket and cozy sweaters.
I hate feeling like my face is melting and like my hair is becoming a frizz-ball. Handling and dressing for heat is definitely not my forte. So finally, the weather cooled to a refreshing 20 degrees so I could wear skinny jeans and a blazer.
The outfit consisted of my favorite Corpus Skinny Jeans, semi-sheer tee and my all time favorite BCBG Max Azria Blazer. It is simple but with detail, for example my gold bracelets complement the gold chain on my purse. And of course, my mani and pedi always match.
I am a detail-freak and think the most important part of getting dressed is paying careful attention to details. For me, everything needs to be neat (definitely wrinkle-free), coordinated and simple. I live by this formula!
I am wearing:
Talula Babaton Semi-sheer tee
Calvin Klein Bra
Corpus Skinny Jeans in Ash
BCBG Max Azria Blazer
Michael Kors Heels
Gustto Cokera Purse
Accessories&Beyond Bracelets
And not to forget a good cause...
Hello Darlings,
Polka dots were seen all over Marni, Michael Kors and House of Holland Spring 09 runways, which inspired me to take a chance and try the whimsical 50's retro look wearing my own silk polka dots, the trick is to wear pattern proportional to my body.
I was never the girl to like polka dots, until recently. I've had this beautiful Guess chiffon polka dot top for few years now, but never really liked to wear it. But this summer something in me embraced polka dots and decided to give it a try; first pairing it with slouchy Wang khakis and today with a simple pair of skinnies and a bomber.
I love how it is formfitting the cute ruffles that remind me of my old ballet tutu's. It is so perfectly girly and elegant that it went from being an outcast to a favorite. I also think that this top makes any outfit date perfect... which is exactly where I wore it yesterday evening... for a date with Andrew :)
On a side note, I want to share some of my new purchases. Revolve Clothing is having the BEST SALE EVER, so I bought these babies, since I've wanted them for a while now but could not justify their full price... but since they went on sale, there was no reason not to buy them. Plus ,if you use the code TULIP you get another 15% off :) *both regular and sale prices*

Hello Darlings,
In the land of couture, there is no better way to describe beauty then the way Thackeray described one of the main characters in Vanity Fair, the beautiful and clever Becky Sharp (Mrs.Rawdon) :
"Our beloved Rebecca had no need, however, of any such a friendly halo to set off her beauty. Her complexion could bear any sunshine as yet; and her dress, any present lady of Vanity Fair would pronounce it to be the most foolish and preposterous attire ever worn, was as handsome in her yes and those of public, some five-and-twenty years since, as the most brilliant costume of the most famous beauty of the present season...Mrs. Radwon's dress was pronounced to be charmante on the eventful day of her presentation. Even good little Lady Jane was forced to acknowledge this effect, as she looked at her kinswoman; and owned sorrowfully to herself that she was quite inferior in taste to Mrs. Becky. "
Hello Darlings,
I love those casual, take it easy days which consist of....
