Fashion Week season begins soon and first among the world's most popular fashion festivities is Montreal Fashion Week from September 4th to 7th. Last season, WithLoveGabrielle.com organized a Fabulous Meets Fashion Experience for one lucky reader to attend the show of talented Quebecois designer Melissa Nepton, including backstage access and a chance to meet the designer. This season, we are doing it again but bigger!

Finding that perfect fitting dress is a challenge, as every woman knows! A well fitting dress that is versatile enough to wear on a variety of occasions is an essential part of every woman's dream wardrobe. You just never know when a hot date will ask you out for a romantic dinner, or when a fabulous girl's night out on the town will come together last-minute, or you are suddenly invited to a swanky soiree. For all these "what ifs" and more, there should be that one dress that is always on stand-by!

Who's better to ask for her advice to find that perfect fitting dress if not a woman behind one of the best fitting dresses I've ever worn? Let me introduce Laurel Berman, designer of the hugely popular Los Angeles based brand Black Halo, and also the designer of their iconic Jackie O dress. So I asked Laurel for her insights on what to look for when shopping for that one perfect dress:

For fall, I really want a purse with a bow— but the girly girl in me had to restrain herself from buying the patent leather Little Kennedy that I previously mentioned. Since I am a bit concerned that patent leather can crack in freezing temperatures, which sadly happens on occasion in a Canadian winter.

Well, there is an upside to self-control as after some online shopping I found yet another Kate Spade charmer - this beautiful beige Kate Spade Villabella Avenue purse! And to my great surprise this is the most blogger friendly purse that I've ever found. In an ideal world, my blogger-kit would include my DSLR camera with an extra lens, my laptop and a traditional planner when out and about during the day. Now try being fabulous lugging around all this heavy equipment in a purse!

The fall collections may have been shown in their full glory during the months of February and March, but it is not until mid-August that retailers welcome their first shipments of fall goodies!
