Aside from being a bittersweet occasion for many with summer holidays and warmer weather over, in fashion fall season is one of great significance. For fashion, fall has always been the season of change and re-invention. Just think of all those hundreds of pages that Vogue bombards us with come September!

Without a doubt, many women pack aside the cold wardrobe to celebrate the glorious days of summer and sunshine. Come fall, the summer wardrobe is packed away and winter is brought back. Yes, agreed cold weather sucks!

The past few weeks I have received numerous emails asking my advice on various blogging topics. Always very positive, some of the most popular questions are (1) how to grow my audience, and (2) how to be invited to more parties and event. So I thought to share with everyone my two cents worth of advice in case more people are curious.

As I am learning for the first time, decorating is a fun yet frustrating challenge. The past week was my first full-on foray into the world of furniture shopping and decorating, and after visiting about a dozen stores I've yet to make my first purchase – and have come to appreciate how similar of a task it is to shopping for a designer purse.

In my mind, the sofa is a statement piece and there is absolutely no way that I can decorate the rest of my living, dining room and kitchen until I first select my new sofa. Since the entire area is an open concept, the entire room needs to flow and transition but without that sofa my week has been a bit challenged as I've been serving my dinner on a kitchen counter :P
