On August 24, 2008 · 28 Comments
Hello Darlings,

To cheer up, today I went shopping and found the most perfect booties from Michael Kors, and played a bit of dress up with my DAISY DUKES...

The Secrets of Hermes

On August 21, 2008 · 20 Comments

Hello Darlings,

Hermes the company was founded by Frenchman Thierry Hermes in 1837 and originally specialized in saddles and leather goods. First called the Haut a Courroie, what's now known as "The Kelly" was launched in the 1930s. But when Grace Kelly used it to hide her pregnant belly from an intruding Life Magazine photographer in 1956, the bag got its name and its fame. Check this out ....

Tragic Story …. and Rhys Dwfen

On August 19, 2008 · 25 Comments
Hello Darlings,

This is what happened.... I ordered the red dress (picture below) to wear on my 20th birthday and received it about two weeks ago. It was a little long (see the pic), so I took it to be hemmed....

Well, it's been a week AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? The dress is now a shirt. It went from 35 inches to 19. Instead of taking off 1 inch they took off about 16 inches.... Kill me now, who makes that kind of a mistake....

I was so upset I cried, and what's worse the tailor is saying the dress shrunk. Come on, isn't that why we take stuff for dry cleaning ?????? SO IT DOES NOT SHRINK? I promise to post pics of the SHIRT DRESS as soon as I get it back and tell you the ending of this tragic story. So I resorted to on-line retail therapy at Active Endeavors... and found:

1. Harrow Shirt by Totem 2. Willie Scoop Knit Dress by Rhys Dwfen 3. Chix Dress by Maggie Ward NOW, it a matter of waiting for them to arrive and hopefully before my B-day. And now on to my weekend .......
Although, I am not a hopeless romantic ... my boyfriend - who's real name is Andrew - does like to surprise with the most romantic things, randomly. This time, he surprised me with tickets to " Dirty Dancing". The night was perfect and " I had the time of my life" ( cheezy phase, but it is from the movie)...
I didn't take the pictures at the show because I forgot my camera at home ... but here's my outfit.
I am wearing: - Hayden Cashmere Dress - Jucity Couture Mary Jane's - Dove Necklace by Kimberly Baker Jewelry - A.V.Max New York Studd Cuff

By the way, welcome to my closet. Is a complete crazy mess,

but my excuse is I am still renovating my room.

With Love...

Girly girl in a man’s man world …. :P

Hello Darlings,

I had an action packed weekend, including on Friday going to a football game. I had a blast, even though our team lost (I was told that happens a lot). Although surrounded by about 85% men (not complaining) I felt so comfortable with my own beer in hand....

After the game, we went to the game's after party and the rest is a history :P But I will admit that my preference is going to Maple Leaf hockey games, not that they win either :)

I'm a girly girl but still love sports and even used to play baseball on school team... So here is my question : CAN A GIRLY GIRL BE A TOMBOY AT HEART?

Johnny Dale who is an author of The Darling Budds , mentioned my post about scarves in his awesome blog - thank you so much :)

With Love...

Marta
