With Love...Backstage at Oh So Cosmo Studios

Hello Darlings, I had the opportunity to tour Corus Quay, which is the headquarters of Corus Entertainment on Toronto's waterfront for a behind the scenes tour of the set and production offices of their popular television show Oh So Cosmo.

Opened in September 2010, Corus Quay is known as one of the most advanced broadcast facilities in North American, and also one of  Toronto’s smartest buildings. Beyond the techie stuff, the building is also a very cool work environment with a massive living wall of plants, a slide from the 3rd floor into the lobby, and waterfront park called Sugar Beach.

With Corus Quay, the company has combined its operations from 11 locations, including 24 television services, 3 radio stations and over 1,100 employees into one facility. The 8 story building is open concept with a variety of production studios and office environments.

The facility is environmentally-conscious and has targeted LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification. The LEED® rating system recognizes leading-edge architectural development that incorporates design, construction, and operational practices that combine healthy, high-quality and high-performance advantages with reduced environmental impacts.  Given my background in architecture, I enjoyed my visit immensely and wanted to share this architectural gem with you.

I am wearing:
H&M Dress
Z Spoke by Zac Posen Leather Tote
Marc by Marc Jacobs Coat in Sandshell Khaki Trench
Repetto "Rose Amour" Ballerinas
Michael Kors Watch

With warm weather in Toronto, I wore the brightest color in my closet.  In the midst of this season’s neutral tone trend, this dress is one of my favorites. It reminds me of the glorious Prada 2011 collection, and I can’t help but constantly want to re-wear it.  From all of the trends for summer, the mixing of prints and bright stripes is definitely my favorite.

I was especially delighted to have visited the Oh So Cosmo television studio, which was surprisingly smaller than I expected but definitely well- designed with girly charm and shades of pink. Thanks so much to Cosmo TV show host Wilder Weir and producer Brent Fraser for organizing everything!
