If the Shoe Fits... YSL Trooper Pumps
Hello Darlings,
When it comes to shoes, I shy away from a classic black pump. I have three different spins on this classic, but have yet to own a classic version. The reason is fairly straightforward...
A shoe doesn’t have to be plain to be a classic, it just needs to be versatile to allow you to make the best of your closet. I have a lot of neutral pieces in my closet - so most often I buy shoes full of character to balance the simplicity of everything else.
YSL Trooper pumps are probably my most “outrageous” shoes (minus my Michael Kors Duck boots!). They work so beautifully with my wardrobe, and can make even a pair of black skinnies with a simple tee look awesome (add my Michael Kors watch to the combo). If a shoe can make the most boring combination in your closet look fresh and chic, they are a perfect addition.
I am wearing:
Cashmere Dress by Line
Trasparenze Calze Collants Strauss Tights
Coach Patent Leather Wristlet
Michael Kors Watch
YSL Trooper Pump
I wore this outfit to a Ukrainian event this week, and felt fabulous and sexy. The real drama of the outfit is the open back detail of my Line cashmere dress, and the interesting seams of the pantyhose. Once in a while, a girl just needs to make a statement.
P.S. I am slowly creating a plan for my mission along with my “to buy” list… so stay tuned!
With Love...
Marta
Hello Darlings,
When it comes to shoes, I shy away from a classic black pump. Although I have three different spins on this classic, I have yet to own a version that is simple. The reason behind it is fairly straightforward: I think that a shoe doesn’t have to be plain in order for it to be classic or versatile; it just needs to make the best of your closet. A fairly simple, neutral closet (as in my case) + a simple, neutral shoe = a dull outfit. Therefore, I always chose shoes that are unique and full of character in order to balance the simplicity of everything else.
This YSL Trooper is probably the most “outrageous” shoe that I own (minus my Kors Duck boots!). Although some love them, others find them to be ugly. As for me? I LOVE THEM! They work so beautifully with my wardrobe, and can make even a pair of black skinnies witha simple tee look awesome (add my Kors watch to the combo). If a shoe can make the most boring combination in your closet look fresh and chic, they are a perfect addition. I can definitely say that these babies are my perfect addition!
This outfit attended a Ukrainian event this past week, and I must admit, If I may say so, that I felt fabulous and actually sexy (not a feeling I get very often- classic and chic? Sure…but I usually never go for sexy. I find that to be tacky). The shoes just bond perfectly with my super-ego (das über-ich…haha,yup I like Freud) that aims towards absolute perfection. I left all of the drama to the back, literally: the open back details, the interesting seaming of the pantyhose and the killer heel. Once in a while, a girl just needs to make a statement exit.
P.S. I am slowly developing a plan for my mission along with my “to buy” list… so stay tuned!
