Dressing for summer comes with some challenges. Something about wearing as little as possible throws me off. I feel awkward in shorts and minis (as if my behind is naked). I prefer wearing cashmere scarves, my Mackage leather jacket and cozy sweaters.
I hate feeling like my face is melting and like my hair is becoming a frizz-ball. Handling and dressing for heat is definitely not my forte. So finally, the weather cooled to a refreshing 20 degrees so I could wear skinny jeans and a blazer.
The outfit consisted of my favorite Corpus Skinny Jeans, semi-sheer tee and my all time favorite BCBG Max Azria Blazer. It is simple but with detail, for example my gold bracelets complement the gold chain on my purse. And of course, my mani and pedi always match.
I am a detail-freak and think the most important part of getting dressed is paying careful attention to details. For me, everything needs to be neat (definitely wrinkle-free), coordinated and simple. I live by this formula!
I am wearing:
Talula Babaton Semi-sheer tee
Calvin Klein Bra
Corpus Skinny Jeans in Ash
BCBG Max Azria Blazer
Michael Kors Heels
Gustto Cokera Purse
Accessories&Beyond Bracelets
And not to forget a good cause...
Although the appeal of this sexy trend is understandable, I've been wondering whether an everyday woman can pull off this look? There is a fine line between trashy and sensual... how do you know when you've crossed that line???
Spring 2009:Jean Paul Gaultier; Christian Dior; Roberto Cavalli;

Lately, I am obsessed with sheer tops, including my favorites from Club Monaco and Talula Babaton. There is something beautiful about the lightness of the fabric and the way it drapes over the body.
Dressing for late dinner and drinks seemed like a pretty good occasion to venture out "semi-naked". I decided to play it "safe" by wearing a sweater over a simple semi-sheer tee and pretty black graphic bra. Personally, I think this trend is best kept for evening wear, since exposing your bra in a subtle way can add a little something to an otherwise a simple outfit.
This is a love/hate trend for me. I love the look but to a certain degree hate the feeling that makes me wonder what exactly I am thinking going out in public looking like this! But then again what would fashion be if we didn't experiment... this is my experiment!!!
I am wearing:
Talula Babaton Semi-Sheer Tee
D&G Bralet
Wilfred Sweater
Michael Kors Oxfords
I was nervous stepping out with my bra visible, but with a sweater judgmental looks were seemingly avoided. The tee is not overly sheer, but still gives a good glimpse of the lace and graphic details of the bra. I felt comfortable enough to wear this again, and think the sheer trend is a good way to spice up a date night outfit.
Do you love or hate the sheer trend?
How do you feel wearing it?
Today was rainy and it seemed every girl age 2 to 92 wore rubber rain boots. I just don't understand why women wear rubber rain boots as a fashion statement... even when it's not raining. It's as if rain boots are the new Uggs, even worn in winter. What is it about rain boots that women love so much?

Seen today "casual shopping" were three women arguing over a pair of $150 Juicy Couture rain boots.... Why would 20 year old women argue over rubber rain boots? It's not as if they are Christian Louboutin or Jimmy Choo. If this wasn't a "loud" enough indication how much women love rain boots, the price tag designers charge is... Why does rubber cost $150? Just because of the designer name?...

SO WHAT IS IT WITH WOMEN AND RAIN BOOTS????
Not to pass undue judgment... Wet feet suck, but there are options other than wearing rubber boots. Sure if you live in the country and it's often muddy, rain boots are practical. But it's rare to find muddy side walks in the city... Plus, do you wear your rain boots indoors, lets say in an office building, in Starbucks, in a restaurant, or a shopping mall???
The role for rain boots in my life are :

Fingers crossed that tomorrow is going to be a sunny day.
Hello Darlings,
I've come to realize that figuring out what to pair with a pencil skirt is a challenge. Some women make it look so effortless, elegant and sexy. When I try wearing one, I feel like a secretary. So this is my attempt at wearing a pencil skirt to my internship meeting.
Last night, I browsed Fall 2009 collections for some inspiration...
