Hello Darlings,

I HATE red! It’s always been that way and it’s quite frustrating. I’ve always thought that it was vulgar and obnoxiously loud. Which in some ways—when worn wrong—is true but lately I’ve been attracted to all things red.

Yes, including the hair color :P I’ve come to realize at how beautiful and classic it is. Although provocative in nature, red is very powerful and subdued. I just can’t believe that it took me about 22 years to realize that I actually LOVE red! And because of my newly discovered passion for red…. I would like to share this stunning editorial from Harper’s Bazaar!

Enjoy!

Now the question goes out to you darlings…How do you feel about red? When do you wear the most (as in terms of occasion)?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Wishing Everyone a Beautiful Tuesday!!!

With Love…

Marta

Funny thing. I have hated red for the longest time and never knew how to wear it. But, today I went and found the most beautiful red shirt at Club Monaco. You should check out Club Monaco’s new line if you haven’t already. I loved a lot of their new pieces and the style seems to be something you would wear. :)

I adore red! It’s my favorite color and I’m not loud or obnoxious :) I think it’s beautiful and warm and sexy. I have more dark toned skin and I think it really compliments.
These photos are gorgeous and make me wish I was elsewhere!

I used to dislike red but then I realized how sexy it is. Red nail polish is my fave. I tend to wear red (clothing) around the holidays and for special events where I feel I should stand out…lol.

hmmm still debating this one - for some reason, I dont really like the way red looks on me - clothing wise - makes me feel slightly uncomfortable but hopefully thats something I can overcome

On the other hand, I DO love red lips! ;)

When I was little I wore so much red that during my high school years (well until mid grade 12) I absolutely hated the colour. I was just sick of it, and since high school was the time when I started buying my own clothes, I really eliminated every trace of that colour from my closet. Now I love red, A LOT. Because I’m not forced to wear it like I was when I was little, I’m happy to embrace it, although I still own very little red clothing. I mostly wear red accessories and lipstick.

All these photos are absolutely gorgeous. Red is such an elegant colour.

  6. i’m definitely a fan of red! i wasn’t a fan before, either, but i’ve definitely warmed up to the color. thanks for sharing this editorial. it’s stunning!

Gasp! Red is my favorite color!

I love red and am currently looking for my perfect red lipstick(oh and i Love love love loooooooooooove red nail varnish - so sexy and very French). :) Once this bit is done I will concentrate on finding the clothes in a perfect shade of red. I read somewhere that our choice of colours is affected by our mood and state of mind. I am guessing here you are feeling more confident, feminine and sexy, so your mind is looking for the right colour to reflect it. x

I love red. It can look so stunning when worn right. The editorial is gorgeous.

  10. I’ve always been a bit scared of red, as I think it doesn’t really suit me. But I wear red lipstick quite often, and sometimes wear red tights!

  11. Keith says:

I love red. All of these are wonderful. I really love that second photo.

  12. I LOVE red. First off, being a redhead, I had to get used to the idea… and that took me until I was 19 to appreciate my unique color (sort of strawberry blonde) and to love it. Work with it. I rarely wear red, as
I’m sure I would look like a giant tomato, but paired with the right colors, I can pull of a scarf or clutch,
or even shoes. I really like the mix within these photos, for a slightly less shocking look, and so chic!

Hope you’re having a fantastic week, Marta!

    xoxo

Red is just one of those tricky things I think. I don’t have any color in my wardrobe (I don’t count nude/blush or navy/blue as a “real” color) but all of my “special occasion” dresses are red, I love red lipstick, I always own a red purse, and at the moment my hair is red.
I guess I love red, but in very, very small doses. Makes it more interesting :)

I have always loved red and how it looks on me. It’s a bit attention grabbing, but when I decide to wear it it means I don’t mind! I whish I could find my perfect red lipstick, but I don’t even know where to start!

  16. Erick says:

Mango’s stores bet on red this automn ! I don’t share that choice.

  17. Becca says:

fantastic editorial! I love red - it’s such an automatically glamourous colour.

  18. That picture on the steps in front of (what looks like a cathedral) is amazing! Love that dress!

  19. Michelle says:

Ah! I love red… have way too much of it.. you can have some if you want hahaha

  20. Anna says:

I love red.. with caution. When it’s about lips and nails I totally work with red (trying to be tasteful, of course) although when it comes to clothes I’m not sure what I feel. I think I’d rather work with colors like burgundy and maroon than wear that overwhelming red. However I have to admit that last season I purchased a pair of red mid-heel shoes that I adore… I end up wondering if it is not about the color but the cloth and how are you going to wear it. Please keep us updated if you decide to try red, would you? :) xx

    • Hi Anna,
I am still getting used to the idea of wearing red, so I am baby stepping with nails :) But i definitely agree that burgundies and maroons are much easier to wear than true red. I will definitely keep everyone updated if I venture into the red department of clothing :P

  21. I love red… I don’t have TOO much of it, but enough to keep it fresh. I particularly like it for shallow reasons -aka everyone always says I look hot in red :P So that helps!

Red is a special color for a special mood. Sometimes you just have to wear it to send the signal.
