Hello Darlings,

My current experiment is with different shapes and textures. This weekend, I spent some quality time shopping with my mom and bought a few things from my "Spring to- buy list" including these cropped, satin, harem style pants from Armani Exchange.

I broke my first fashion commandment the moment I tried on these babies. When checking the label I was mortified to read "partly polyester". But for once I still bought them, and must admit they do feel nice and don't wrinkle in the way silk and linen pants do.

Another exciting purchase were these adorable Bloch flats. I am going to live in them this summer. I used to dance ballet in Bloch shoes and wearing them on the street takes me back to my dancing days :) They are the most comfortable and chic flats ever.. so worth every penny.

It is 5:35 am and my day is starting on a wonderful note. There's not much noise since most everyone in the city is still asleep, but I am enjoying listening to the birds chipping outside my window, while finishing my art critique. Definitely a sign of spring and making for one of those perfect mornings :)

Since there's no one awake to share this moment, I decided to share it with you :) It still amazes me as to how random and tiny thing always make me sooo happy...

Not fashion related, but I was just going through my "book collection" and wanted to share a powerful quote from D.H. Lawrence from "Lady Chatterley's Lover".

Ours is essentially tragic age, so we refuse to take it tragically.

The cataclysm has happened, we are among the ruins,

we start to build up new little habits, to have new little hopes.

It is rather hard work: there is now no smooth road into the future:

but we go round, or scramble over the obstacles.

We've got to live, no matter how many skies have fallen.

On my way to Renaissance class and then a Starbucks date, I realized that my outfit was screaming, "Hello, I am a miss goody two shoes"... And I LOVED it!!! The preppy side in me tends to break loose every so often and today was the day.

And for those of you wondering, my Juicy Couture flats are actually warm and really soft, with suede lining and a normal sole. I absolutely adore them, definitely no an average flat.
