One of the best parts of traveling is exploring new places and seeing many new faces. On my recent trip to Montreal, Quebec, I was able to explore a lot of the different downtown areas, eat at many new restaurants, shop in some new stores, and generally had a great experience.

One of the most interesting things about Montreal – in fact, all of Quebec - is it's unique character relative to the rest of Canada. In addition to the distinct language spoken by the majority (French versus English), Montreal is very different socially. But fear not if you are planning your first Montreal trip, since it seems almost everyone working at restaurants, shops, hotels, bars, etc. all speak good english so the language issue is not a challenge.

First of all, I would like to mention that there are some major changes coming to With Love... Can't wait to hear your opinions! Ahead of time I would like to apologize for minor tech glitches if some problems were to arise. Aside from a complete makeover of With Love... I am very excited to be in Montreal once again.

Despite it being a work trip, I am putting in some serious hours to make sure that the city is well explored :)

Do you consider yourself a rational person, who makes good spending decisions and exercises restraint? Every so often there is an item that I really want it, but just can’t seem to justify the cost. At the end of the day, I usually feel pretty good about making wise choices.

For me right now, that item is an Yves Saint Laurent Oval Arty Ring. For a year I’ve admired this little gem from a distance until a few days ago. When you’re debating to spend more than you think you should, a second opinion is highly recommended. So after being responsible for so long it was my mother who encouraged to finally buy the ring!
