OK! Magazine 2012 Pre-Oscars Party

Hello Darlings, This week, I am in Los Angeles California attending several Academy Awards festivities, including the OK! Magazine 2012 Pre-Oscar Party in Hollywood last night. It was interesting to say the least to experience behind-the-scenes of Hollywood.

The event began with a star-studded red carpet, then moved inside the charming Greystone Manor. The event was honouring Adrian Grenier's philanthropic efforts, and especially his work on HBO documentary film, Teenage Paparazzo.

One of the highlights for me was the lovely Emmanuelle Chriqui making a sweet introduction for Adrian Grenier to make his speech. Adrian looked adorable in his green sneakers with blazer, jeans and tie combination. Most of the cast of Entourage were partying together right in-front of the DJ booth, and were surely the best dressed group in the house. Emmanuelle wore an effortless combination of high-waisted trousers and crop top, while Jerry Ferreira looked adorable in a checkered shirt and Rex Lee ("Lloyd") wore his patented vest and shirt combination.

There were so many other young celebs at the event, and most noteworthy is that Jersey Shore's Pauly D was the DJ for the event and was surprisingly really good. Glee Project's winner, Damien McGinty also made fun performance.

Overall, the guys were the better dressed of the two sexes. The girls disappointed in overdone bejewelled dresses and too much make-up. My best dressed female was hands down Emmanuelle Chriqui whose effortless yet chic look stole to spotlight from disco-ball inspired ensembles.

As for me and my outfit, it was a bit of a challenge but none the less I was too excited to care! I pulled together this outfit with some of my favourite travel pieces: Manolo Blahnik booties, BCBG Maz Azria tutu-like skirt and Duarte leather blazer. I felt comfortable and great the entire evening, which I suppose is most important part when in unfamiliar territory!
