Hello Darlings,  In one of the more unique party settings, Marketing Magazine hosted an event on the set of the Breakfast Television morning show to announce their inaugural list of Canada's Top 30 Under 30. Very excited and proud to announce that yours truly was included among a list of young colleagues who are accomplishing big things in the fields of media, PR and advertising.

Never in a million years never would I have imagined that from such humble beginnings, my passion for life (and playing with my laptop and camera) would give me the opportunity to join such a talented group! The 2012 class includes advertising phenoms such as Kyle Lamb (26) who is an Art Director at advertising firm John St. - click the link on his name to read about some of the accomplishments of this super-creative guy including the hilarious story about how his mock "Catvertising" campaign went viral - including plugs from both CBS News and late night TV host Conan O'Brien.

Another personal favorite from the Marketing Magazine Top 30 Under 30 list - maybe because I love eating the fruits of his labor - is Brad Canario (27) who has the enviable job as Brand Manager for Goldfish crackers. Among his impressive accomplishments, since taking over as the marketing lead 3 years ago, Brad has double the sales of Goldfish in Canada. He also won the Cannes Lions marketing competition earlier this year, and was flown to Cannes France for the global competition, where he won a Bronze medal for Canada!

To view the profiles of each of the Top 30 Under 30, click this link to the Marketing Magazine website. If you're not familiar, the magazine is the voice of Canada’s marketing industry, covering what's news in the business of media planning and buying, digital marketing, television, advertising agencies, corporate marketing, events, and more. If you are into blogging for more than just a casual past-time, Marketing Magazine is likely one publication you want to start checking out regularly.

The photos in this post are from what was the best photo shoot I've ever experienced, courtesy of super-talented Toronto based photographer Mike Ford. His energy, laid-back attitude and great personality made it a fun experience.  His taste in music is also wicked, and added so much energy and fun to the shoot. For my look, I was going for girly and fabulous and my hair styled by the amazing Exit Salon team. It was a hot summer day, so I also took the opportunity to wear my new Juicy Couture lace dress (love it).

I AM WEARING: Juicy Couture Lace Dress // Mimosa Textile Pumps // YSL Arty Ring

The print copy will be in stores on September 10th, which includes insights on social media and the growing influence of bloggers. In the meantime, to click this link if you want to read my profile on the Marketing Magazine website!

With Love...

Marta
