Fashion Design Council of Canada Celebrates

Hello Darlings, Last night I attended a cocktail reception at the Royal Conservatory of Music hosted by the Fashion Design Council of Canada. With a room full of the who’s who of Canadian fashion, FDCC announced World MasterCard as the new title sponsor of the Toronto Fashion Week.

New title — World MasterCard Fashion Week — will take effect for Fall/Winter 2012 Collections, to be presented this March. In discussion, Robin Kay — President of FDCC and Executive Director of World MasterCard Fashion Week — said, “It is a great honour to welcome World MasterCard as the title sponsor of Fashion Week as we continue to grow our own fashion landscape with their global endorsement.”

The reception was a lovely and intimate affair with Canadian designers David Dixon and Greta Constantine in attendance. It was also a pleasure to chat with Robin Kay about Coco Chanel. And since the evening was all about Canadian talent, it was terrific to wear the designs of young Montreal designer Mélissa Nepton who presented her Spring/Summer 2012 collection at Toronto Fashion W
