Celebrating My 23rd Birthday at The Spoke Club

As one of my favorite fashion icons—Audrey Hepburn—said:
" The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows and the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years."
With her words in mind, I embrace yet another year passing birthday. As I was laying in my large comfy bed in a hotel room with 1 hour before the clock fit 12 am, I could not help but feel blessed and slightly overwhelmed. With the best parents, caring family, amazing friends, loving boyfriend and readers as wonderful as you...I feel truly blessed and thankful! Therefore, I would like to thank everyone for making me smile everyday, for making me feel as loved as I do and for making me want to be the best person that I can. I can't express enough gratitude and send out enough thanks!
As I am writing this post, I am in the process of picking out my birthday outfit for tonight's dinner. Very excited to be celebrating my 23rd birthday in a city as wonderful as Baltimore! As for why I am here, well I flew out to support E's team at Baltimore's 1st Indy Grand Prix. With a long weekend and some free time, I could not help but show some team spirit!
But nevertheless, I was lucky enough to have two celebrations packed in one week! On Saturday August 28th, ten of my closest and dearest friends gathered at the charming patio lounge of The Spoke Club for lots of laughter, food and wine. With an extra chocolaty birthday cake and a candlelit dinner overlooking all of Toronto, I rang in my early 23rd birthday before heading out for a night of dancing at the Maison Mercer. A girl could not have asked for anything more! It was fabulous :) Wish I could share more pics but it's like facebook, some things should never be posted or tagged!

As for the birthday look, I decided on simple with a touch of fuzzy :P With my Robbi & Nikki feather skirt, amazing hair by Jan of EXIT Salon, a delicate blouse from Club Monaco and finishing touches by YSL—I felt very beautiful!
