California State of Mind

Hello Darlings, After an elimination process with at least dozen pairs of shoes,  I finally successfully packed for my ten day trip to sunny California then wintry British Columbia! No girl loves to play favorites with her shoes but even when packing for two seasons, there is no option but to bring only a few pair!

With a 5am wake-up call and a six hour flight, I landed in Los Angeles and left behind yet another Montreal snow storm. Although I am used to living in a place that feels like  a snow globe, the feeling of sunshine on my skin felt like heaven!

After checking-in and refreshing, as a creature of habit my first California evening was spent having dinner at a cozy restaurant at a familiar spot at Sunset Plaza. Day 2 started with a fun breakfast at the famous Mel's Diner on Sunset Boulevard before heading to downtown Los Angeles and on to Hollywood to check out the Walk of Fame!

On Hollywood boulevard, the preparations for the Oscar Awards were well underway! Despite hundreds of security, it was still interesting to walk the streets that celebrate the history of old and new Hollywood.

And the star of my trip so far is definitely my new Coach high-top sneakers! Typically not a sneaker kind of a girl, I am obsessed with these. Perhaps it's the bold color or the adorable tassels, but this pair will definitely be making a few appearances in the next week.
