Best.Weekend.Ever.
Hello Darlings,
Best Weekend Ever — such lofty expectations! But my loves, it is possible with just a little planning and a touch of imagination, et Voila! Not to forget to mention that you can also win one of five $ 1,000 gift cards from Call It Spring. So loves ready, set, plan your best weekend ever (you deserve it!) and share your most fabulous photo,on facebook/callitspring from today through December 18. Who needs Santa?
No offence Santa, but as a fellow shoe addict I decided to take part. The things a girl would do in the name of shoes. So planning it was!
I was on the look out for romance, indulgence, fun, and sleep... lots and lots of sleep! And The Westin Harbour Castle was kind enough to host me for the weekend. Total thumbs up... You really know how to show a girl a good time ;)
Romance
I am no cheesy romantic or the moo-shy kind, but sunsets bring out the biggest care-bear in me. Show me a pink sky and my world is awesome. With sunrises and sunsets, mesmerizing city views from the Westin rooftop restaurant, and walks by the water; romance category was filled!
Indulgence
I am a HUGE foodie. I love food and will not deny it. However my inner Betty Crocker has yet to come out aka I don't really like to cook. Why cook when you can take out? So room service it was and if not eating in bed then eating at the romantic rooftop restaurant. Once the hibernation was complete, I headed out for a day of food and shopping. Nervosa in Yorkville is one of my favourite places to eat in the city along with Lee's Restaurant on King Street. I am a creature of habit, so that when I am not eating pasta, then I am most likely eating Chinese food or sushi.

Fun
I am lucky enough to have been in the company of one who never fails to bring out the fun card. From shopping which was fun for me! To a brewery visit quickie for my special someone. There was also football in the mix, which is actually quite entertaining when accompanies by a plate of Nachos and a beer. And of course, the grand finale was an hour or two of ping pong at The Ballroom.

Sleep
Sleep, well that's no rocket science! But trust me, it is. Since I spend long hours on my laptop, sleep is not my first priority or for that matter second or third. But boy was burned out. On the first night alone, I stayed in bed for total of 16 hours! 16 delightful hours...ZZzzzzzz
As for my best wardrobe ever! Well, my "Polka Dot" ( yes, I named my carry-on) offered a fantastic variety, including:
- 4 pairs of shoes
- 2 pairs of jeans
- 4 dresses
- 3 sweaters
- 2 blouses
- 2 coats
Although with a car valet parked, a girl still needs flat shoes for all that urban exploration. Evenings were for heels and romance! With the drop in temperature and gusting winds from the lake, I was delighted to have brought my favourite Mackage coat and the-only-bright-coat-in-the-sea-of-black Zara coats. I also picked up a new sweater which was lovingly named "Gold Member" for obvious reason (hint:it's gold!).
Well, the weekend is dunzo and time to get back to work!
With Love...
Marta
