Austin: the calm before the storm!

Hello Darlings, With warm weather and a swimming pool ten stories below, I've been enjoying and exploring Texas. Early last week, I came to Austin Texas and have love this city. In contrast to Houston, Austin is much smaller, more intimate and charming.

In Houston, I loved my time in The Galleria, which is at once a shopping dream and nightmare. One of the largest shopping malls in America, The Galleria has great stores but the lay out is confusing. I also enjoyed Houston's City Center, which has a combination of upscale stores and restaurants.

I must admit that Austin's smaller scale and laid back atmosphere is my preference.  Although finding a taxi is impossible, but the best way to explore a new city is on foot. Therefore as I had the pleasure of walking about the  SoCo  neighborhood and later in the evening the famous 6th street.

The majority of my time in Austin was spent in the Warehouse District, which has a variety of restaurants and live entertainment. My favorite places in Austin to eat were Kenichi and Parkside. Also, Cedar Street Courtyard offers a amazing live entertainment that was lots and lots of fun. If you're in Austin definitely check them out :)

 { I am wearing:  Club Manoco "Iman" Silk Blouse //  7 for All Mankind Roxanne Jeans // Juicy Couture Rose Flats // Michael Kors Watch // Gustto Cokera Purse // Chanel Sunglasses }

 Texas was fun, and as the saying goes there's nothing like southern hospitality. I really enjoyed how friendly and open everyone is.  Since it was hot during the day and chilly at night, I wore mostly breezy dresses or denim with silk blouses. While shopping in Houston, I bought a new pair of 7 for All Mankind white jeans that were ideal for the weather.

Since many of you have asked, I am in Texas for the South by South West... which is what I will post on next!

With Love...

Marta
